cestvs just feels meh
Nobody here reads manga.
The only ones here that do read shounen, and even then, you can hardly call it reading when most of them just skim pages to shitpost later.
O MY LITHE BODY
I keep seeing people praise this every so often, but I remember it being pretty dull.
Lewd
Best sci-fi manga no one read coming through
Naw, man.
Started reading Higanjima last night and it's pretty fun. Some great high-detail pages in there.
Pic not related as it's a shit tier shounen what everyone already dropped.
are the continuations just as good as the original?
Great for historyfags. Surprised it got an English release.
Blue Period
Amazing source material for everyone who wan't to learn how to draw/paint/do art in general from 0.
No idea. I'm only 30 chapters into the original.
it's a fun ride
Shibito no Koe o Kiku ga Yoi Is one of my favorites but it doesn’t seem to get much attention here. Hayakawa san is the cutest and best ghost and the horror is an enjoyable change of pace from the rest of the crap I read.
>Nora to Zassou
Teenage prostitute ran away from home finds a shelter in the home of a police officer whose daughter died several yars ago.
Love this manga
Aoi best girl
Drop it while you can, that ending will make you throw your monitor out on the window.
>>what's wrong with people to ignore such gems?
Few people read manga here so I don't think anyone is actively ignoring them, just a smaller sample size and a huge array of manga.
Suppose I'll mention Biotop and Heisei Umare again though, if only to give it some more results in the archives.
evryboy read this at some point tho
Asmodeus wa Akiramenai
Anyone?
We need a /manga/ board.
Hetakoi will always be one of my fav romances with justits presentation and writing.
Also recommend Bonnouji has just a fun relaxing time and read
They have releases. I avoided Cestus cause it seemed mediocre but I read 2001 Nights and Thermae Romae. At least the first volume of both, not really interested in TR
It got dropped several months back.
NEW CHAPTER NEVER. I WANT TO SEE METAL.
What's it about? Seems interesting.
Nice backgrounds.
There were constantly threads when it was coming out.
Everyone should read Ai-Ren.
Great manga, I wish it was released here, it could use a decent translation. It's basically a slice of life/drama manga on grief and learning to accept loss with iyashikei elements. Highly recommended.
yeah but none of the people i talk to know that it exist
You don't talk to Yea Forums?
It's a B-Horror(?) about a group of people getting captured on an island inhabited by vampires and attempting to escape. The first fifteen or twenty chapters happen prior to them going to the island and were pretty enjoyable.
Nothing wrong with anything that's happened since then, but I haven't read enough of it to say whether it's better or worse.
Have you read Yuureito? It's pretty famous but if you haven't read it and you enjoy horror or thriller you should.
Hakaijuu
This guy is pretty stoic, maybe he doesn't realize it but he pretty much go through the same principles.
The first chapter my turn you off but he doesn't act like that autist in the next chapters.
I hate that ending as much as I hate Real's ending or Tetsugaku Letra's ending. It just felt so rushed. These are still great mangos though.
Yuugami is one of the most alpha character I've seen recently. It could make for a great adaptation.
>great
not everyone want to fuck their moms
gunka no baltzar since european historical settings are very raw in mangas
What's wrong with her ears?
More like everyone wants to fuck their mom if she's hot enough.
This manga has the same author as kuro.
you have my attention, do they fuck?
>great
What did he meant by this?
>huge threads on new chapters and crazy hype when it was airing
???
The drama is kinda pretentious desu, but I appreciate the basic tools this manga deliver
Cestvs is pretty good. Nothing exceptional but it's a fun read.
Yugami is honestly one of the best manga I've ever read and I don't even like romcom/slice of life. God tier protagonists.
I guess they don't, she tease him and grab his dick but I think it stops there.
It's fine as long as they're both girls.
two volumes without translation
untranslated =/= unread
it's widely known and read, at least here
>Nothing exceptional but it's a fun read.
This chapter gave me a huge boner. Cestvs is good because charcaters get a decent amount of backstory but without things being dragged out because the pacing is good and the art is really nice. That already makes it better than most fighting manga.
If you don't cry reading this you're inhuman.
Goddamn it was like 5 years ago and I still cry just thinking about it.
Tokyo Ghoul done right.
Only problem is there hasn't been anything unexpected happening for a long time. Cestus keeps winning and all the fighters get a few chapters of screentime without anything too dramatic happening before being stowed away.
Obligatory.
Still kinda sad how his other manga never got translations even though theres only like 3 volumes left to do. Shame, since Team Medical Dragon is so good.
Would be nice.
new chapter never ever
I have been reading it for a while and it really goes from B horror into "schlocky" vampire action.
Yeah the Emden chapter was fucking sick. The problem I have with cestvs is that it's too formulaic.
No she has sex with him. It's mostly disturbing though because she does it to manipulate/care for him in her own twisted way.
Don't know why this doesn't get threads here despite being better than most weekly battle shonenshit. The art is nice, good characters, cool power system.
Forgot my pic.
There were some story time threads with all the chapters of this a few months ago. It was a good time.
Did you think Emden was going to beat Solon? Because I didn't. And i can't tell who's going to win out of Loki or Gideon here, I kind of want to think Gideon because Loki winning due to muh height and muh strength seems really obvious, but then if Gideon wins is that considered another big upset and would it be silly to have two of those in a row and is the whole David and Goliath thing going on here maybe too obvious, I dunno. And then what would be better for the upcoming Cestvs fight, Cestvs vs Loki or Cestvs vs Gideon. The fact it even is making me think that much is a good thing. And given that this has been 9 volumes of a tournament arc the characters are all getting equsl time and story, which doesn't happen often, it would be much easier to focus on the MC and ignore everyone else but that isn't happening.
I reckon Cestvs will need a Part 3 to tie up all the loose ends in the story because more or less nothing from the end of Part 1 has been addressed, and we still don't know shit about Cestvs' past other than that one page of Zufar picking him up from his dead dad(?), not to mention Zufar's teacher has been appearing more prominently but their relationship is still unclear as to why it is the way it is right now. Lot of stuff to go through yet.
I think second part of the manga is pretty disappointing, it went from fucking KAIJU SUPLEX to some lame Terra Formars stuff.
>a kid that beats a giant
This always make me cringe. Maybe there is a reason why the thing you like doesn't get much threads eh ? I also hate other shounenfags like you, user.
If you enjoy Yuureito you might enjoy the Mouryou no Hako anime, check it out. For me it's great.
He's an adult, just a manlet.
That way manga that are not shounenshit would actually have a chance at getting discussed, on a slower board the threads would stay up for days so even if there's 20 people reading a series there could still be a discussion. We have countless boards and we still don't have a manga one, how fucking sad.
Speaking of manga better than most battle shounen, here's the only good manhua China has ever made.
Runway de Waratte is pretty fun though I wouldn't call it a great manga
Right. How old?
Still shounenshit, get that shit out of here
Sigh I can beat others so easily . .
That's the epitome of EDGY.
>all those seinen manga about raising a shota
When will fujos learn their place?
Tch... nothing personnel.... man
OR, hear me out, we COULD make more threads like this as it was intended for the board, instead of the thousand shounen shit crossboarder crap?
Just an idea though.
You faggots always say that and then we are back at square 1
Aono-kun ni Sawaritai kara Shinitai/I Want to Hold Aono-kun so Badly I Could Die is the best romance/horror series I've read lately.
I heard it was a bad idea. I'm a mangafag myself. But I think there's a reason why it's actually bad don't know remember though.
I don't want to have a thread like this where NO ONE replies to my post about a manga and there's zero discussion. This is why you want it.
This right here is a thread where everyone just dumps the latest manga they're interested in and if it's recent enough it receives the validation of other people. Not what I want.
Probably some retarded excuse like
- I don't want to browse 2 boards (probably the worst offender)
- There's not enough interest for a whole board
- All the traffic would be eaten up by the big shounen
And more retarded shit anyone with half a brain would need 5 seconds to recognize as such.
See no one talk about this one
This isn't a moon rune board, either it's translated or it's irrelevant
It's great that a lot of characters are getting a bit of story, and the emden vs solon fight was good, but compared to the character progression and drama before the timeskip nothing much is happening. The dichotomy between Ruska and Cestus has more or less fizzled out and there's no sense of struggle left now that Cestus has made enough peace with his situation to even refuse Sabrina's offer of freedom.
I still like the series, but it used to have more than just fighting going for it. I really hope things get spiced up a bit later in the tourney, but even if they don't I'll keep reading.
I'm not sure if you're just willfully ignorant of its popularity or trying to keep this discussion going because you're desperate to win an argument for the first time in your life, but unironically posting killing bites in a 'great manga nobody reads' thread is just retarded.
Hello new friend
Speaking about this i was rewatching Demi chan and noticed it in it. Flipped it so its easily noticeable.
Yiff in hell, furfags.
>expected rare flamenco mango
>got great coming of age story instead
It used to get daily threads for a while, dunno why it doesn't anymore since I don't read it.
soulless
19th century England drama is not popular to weebs.
Started reading Montage a view days ago and caught up with the last translated chapter today. It's a mystery based on the real-life 300 million Yen robbery of 1968, it's well thought out with no loose ends like the author planned every little detail before he started working on it.
Also finished Moriyama Tsuru's Oyaji and Okan last week, anybody knews if he has other series?
I'm reading it aswell and following the current translation, don't want to spoil it to you but I hate how the quality went down halfway.
>the only good manhua China has ever made.
I see you haven't read City of Darkness
the new one is not that bad either
>Last update: 9months ago
Why you do this?
There was thread on Yea Forums a while back where most anons said they would be okay with manga storytimes.
Yea Forums has storytimes all the time, so there's definitely an audience for them, and most don't care about east vs. west bs.
I still haven't fixed my fucking tablet
im suprised that shigurui isnt been spoken here much
Still one of my favourite reads.
Pokémon Adventures past Red Blue Yellow
It's mentioned pretty frequently considering it finished about 9 years ago.
I dumped this manga yesterday
This manga has too many plotholes but still enjoyable.
What happens?
Cestvs is good.
Pacing and narrative focus needs work.
Redpilled show?
I always wanted a manga and comics board.
The cartoonfags are just pure cancer.
Nigga that's not underrated.
The best part is that as a historylad I know where this campaign is going to.
Literally SAO.
Really. It turny out the whole manga was just a VR simulation curing MC's PTSD caused by the death of his childhood friend.
Read this a few months ago. You're really overrating it. It felt like any generic sci-fi short story collection in comic form.
>translations in French, Spanish, and Italian
>still no English
why are scanlators such plebs?
Mods would just use it as an excuse to ban everybody posting a manga page here.
If I translate the mango, will someone help me edit it?
I followed this artist's twitter despise never reading it, how good is it?
3 chapters every monday. Great manga.
Yama no Susume for adults.
no it's no overratted you have just shit taste
Not him, but first chapter in and it already looks both cute and spooky, would recommend.
why are there so many armchair food/cooking analyst manga? is this a variant of isekai in the manga world?
Go to the archives. Search for "anime or manga". There would be a zillion threads asking Yea Forums whether they primarily read of watch. Most of Yea Forums primarily read.
but how they read it is casual-tier, usually on a TV screen (!?) or their phone
Not bad. The main couple is pretty cute at times with the occasional "what-the-fuck" scary moments. Give it a try if you're interested in horror-romance stories.
Because cooking is fun, comfy and useful
Wagecucks like myself do not have time to read on pc. I am following 100+ manga and read on a 5.5" during toilet breaks in office and 2 minute breaks at the desk.
and yet Anime dominates this board and most of those thread are meme template. Most people read manga, but what they actually mean is the normal fag ones like shonen stuffs or anime source materials. No one read obscures stuffs in the this thread because no one would bother go to bakaupdate and search.
Considering the amount of mangaka I've seen where over half of their twitter is just them posting food I assume a lot are into it.
Was so mad when it got axed.
Author had to end it after that one fight instead of the entire tournament.
At least we got Kengan Ashura/Omega now and Saotome-senshu
I hardly watch anime, and only check on here to find manga threads, which turns out to be rare. Then I go and download those whole series and store them for a rainy day if it's something I've never heard of. Anime is almost always just a watered down form of manga, but it's far more passive. Zoomers don't and won't read unless it's tweets or texts.
>aoi
>not loli shino
shit taste
>underrated manga
Here
New chapter when?
It's hard to read obscure shit anyway because if something is actually obscure (not just "obscure" in the sense that it doesn't have an anime adaptation) chances are nobody's going to be translating it. I recently went through most of the manga that have been published in Afternoon because I've liked a lot of series I've read that were in that magazine but haven't started reading most of it yet. Some of the series aren't translated though either.
Anime almost always gets translated while it's a toss up as to whether a manga will.
this is really nice
honestly, the only problem i have it's the author same-face problem
I got a 7.8" ereader so I could read at my wagie cagie desu; LCD screens are just not going to cut it for the dedicated manga devotee
Anyone has read anything from Jiro Matsumoto? I like his works, mostly distopian worlds, sketchy art and quite creepy and weird settings.
Am currently reading Tropical Citron mangaupdates.com
Two of his other works that I read and are good:
Mikai no Hoshi mangaupdates.com
Becchin to madara mangaupdates.com
another bait page
I got used to it at one point. Also author released a guide book. I hope it will get translated too.
Cetus is a total aspie and gives up his freedom twice for "muh boxing" I dropped it after that.
>Anyone has read anything from Jiro Matsumoto?
Not really since Kotonoha died.
>Young animal
Oh no
>ctrl+f gleipnir
>0 results
yup, i knew i'm the only one reading this shit
it's probably less than average but fuck it i like it
i read 30 chapters or so...then i dropped because it was kind of bad.
Kongou Banchou always gets a hard recommendation from me. Anime never ever.
I still can't believe it's written by the seven sins guy
There's plenty of translated stuff that's not discussed and thus, obscure.
Listen guys, how do you expect to have a decent manga thread if you can't even write what the fuck is your manga about
Give a quick introduction and at least the name of the manga when you post a pic if you want someone else to give a shit about your manga, how can i be interested if i only see a generic volume cover? or at least post a page that may look interesting or something
I'm very glad scalators are finishing this.
He's one of my favorites. I really wish some group would do his Mecha School Girl manga...
its a seinen
I dumped mine yesterday and couple weeks ago but no one want to join my thread because it's not popular enough. People will always gravitate toward manga with lewd or powerleveling.
just use google image search
Saucenao and mangaupdates.
I guess good advice.
I already posted 4 but I was just confused on what to write and the thread was dying.
Guess I'll just copy paste the summary next time.
I guess this one, Yea Forums doesn't like good harem, only the generic ones where they can shit each other.
Also, Blue Giant, Giant Killing and Souboutei applies too, right?
Freesia was great and I'm always glad when someone has read it
It was a great ride.
Spirit blade mountain is fun as fuck
>MC is born a mary sue that has the highest vase vessel only a couple guys in history had
>Vase vessel determinate how stron g you can become
>But theres a problem only gods have the techniques to train them and the era of gods has been over for a couple thousands of years
>SO at equal level of development the MC is always the weakest and has to overcome everything using his intellect
The mc is litearlly chinese/korean lelouch
forgot pic
>Give a quick introduction and at least the name of the manga when you post a pic if you want someone else to give a shit about your manga, how can i be interested if i only see a generic volume cover? or at least post a page that may look interesting or something
Literally what mangaupdates is for you dunce.
Glad I kept reading this. First 1/3rd didn't do much for me, but the last 2/3rds were amazing.
But Shigurui is enormously famous.
>It felt like any generic sci-fi short story collection in comic form
Shitter.
Who cares? I'd probably stop coming to Yea Forums anyway, fuck this cesspool.
Shit taste
One day I'll read past the first chapters. Love the artstyle and the atmosphere.
Matsumoto gives me depression.
obligatory.
koda is such a qt.
Is this Samura?
took me a while to get around it too because of the years of delayed scans. But man this was one of the most emotional post-apocalyptic story I have ever read. Not in a sci-fi sense, but the drama and character interaction are raw enough to make you feels what it's like being the last group of people on earth. It's a good world building material if you're into that.
yes it is
I thought it was awful and dropped it, it's the same pattern over and over and over and over. It's basically Otokojuku but playec completely straight, where every battle it's some hardcore high stakes thing, but rarely do people seem to or are there that many consequences to begin with.
Not to mention the obvious deus ex, asspulls and silly power creep. The first part was good, the mine stuff had more thought behind it, everything after is just brainless.
RED Living On the Edge is the most American manga ever made please read this it great
Skip to Loafer is what I was going to post as well. I still don't really care about Shima because he just seems like the most generic shoujo romantic lead ever but Mitsumi is just so goddamn cute and charming and most of the other characters are likable too so it's comfy as fuck.
I kind of like that Egashira is presented as the bitchy love rival but she's at worst just kind of catty but still friendly enough with Mitsumi so I'm hoping there's a chapter with the both of them before the the end of volume 2.
No
Everyone seems to sleep on this artist/author. Even with cool female characters and added fantasy to the historical elements doesn't seem to be enough to pull the pleb crowd.
But that's not Mad Bull 34 tho
There's always that one guy posting the tiger page in opt threads.
Have you read Emma?
Tell me about it. I'm still sad otome sensou stopped getting translations.
You could just dump translations in a thread.
Shima is just ok for me, thou I'm glad the author cleared out his past deed a head of time instead of using it as a main plot device to make everything about him. I really hate when that happen. I rather like his chemistry with Mitsumi than him as a character, at least for now.
You can tell that the story is branching out with different characters revolve around Mitsumi instead of being a straight full on romance. It's a good direction and I hope it continue on that way. I have the raw up to the beginning of volume of 3 if you're interested.
everything is great about this manga except Summer A arc.
>Have you read Emma?
nope, but it looks cute.
reminds me a bit of Ludwig Kakumei, a manga which I would also recommend if you like European fairytale
I've seen some love given to this manga but not nearly as much as shounenshit.
fact that translations are dead doesn't help
Kenrantaru Grande Scene is unironically the best sports manga around right now.
This series got me into ballet and I'm going to see my first professional production in December thanks to it.
reminded me of this manga in pict related
Anyone here remember this? it was suddenly really popular back then during mid 2000s. I forgot how it ended.
Wow that is bad. Also doesn't make sense with the lengths it goes just to do so especially with all the horror elements or if any of it had to do with him coping which he doesn't at all. No zinger like the other stories if I am correct.
Basically what I had in mind
Moon Land, aka "autistic boy does gymnastics". Basically Robot X Laserbeam but with gymnastics instead of golf.
Anyone else reading it? It's probably my favourite sports manga running at the moment, and it's on mangaplus. I just wish it went biweekly already instead of having a million extra chapters.
Great, I've got the raws if you need them.
Not sure about underrated, I like Otogibanashi Battle Royale so far.
I don't really care for shojo manga but I'll try it at some point. I only picked up Emma because it was a historical manga with a setting that wasn't feudal Japan.
got a link?
or some way to get in contact to sync?
Cestus was a great read
I'll post a mega link in a bit.
Looks a lot more like shoujo drama. I appreciate that the soap opera drama in Kenrantaru is largely kept to a minimum and it comes more from the actual tense atmosphere of hard work, competition and achievement while celebrating the beauty of ballet as an art, probably because Cuvie actually did it when she was in school and in general seems to be a huge lover of western art.
thanks, if you have
Hangyaku no Kamon
Hitokiri
Satsuma Gishiden
or this one which for some reason I can't find on baka, but it's Broken Promises, unless it was issued on a different name, that'd be rad.
Is any of this even in english?
No one is translating post-apocalyptic slice of life manga.
When was the last time it got updated though?
I reallly like Nobunaga No Chef, though I have no idea how popular it is. At least here I never read about it.
Me too, new scans when
this was hot
Plinius 1-5: mega.nz
I don't have any of these on my hard drive but i'll have a look online.
>Hangyaku no Kamon
I couldn't find Japanese raws but here's a spanish one if that's useful mediafire.com
>Hitokiri
sakurafile.com
>Satsuma Gishiden
It's already licensed senpai but here you go (English version) mega.nz
Holyland is one of my favorite manga due to the fact that it takes a somewhat realistic approach in street fights
I already have those on spanish, just wanted to double check if anyone had the raws so as to make sure I'm not wrong, will start to work on these once I finish the Yea Forums project I'm working on
Read her manga
Monkey is for marry
Tiger is for fuck
Spy girl is for pump and dump
Look forward to it, user
And maybe finally having the opportunity to use this font
>The official translation sucks.
They just went with "I wet myself inside of you".
Hey I wasn't aware these manga were available in spanish, but since you seem to know could you tell me, are they translated into latam spanish or Castellano?
Oh nice you translate euro comics too. I've been getting into them recently, just read Murena and really enjoyed it. I've got a few (historical) euro comics too if you're interested.
Who is this sperm cabarista?
Official translations are on amazon.
I know, but most readers rely only on scanlations and piracy in general, so the amount of readers that get past whatever there is on the internet by buying the official translations will be way smaller.
Nice, Nero/Flavian era is my favorite period of Roman history so it'll be cool to see how it's done. Shame Pliny dies before the reign of based Domitian though.
Castilian, or just regular Spanish.
>Murena
naisu
>Lanfeust
HARAM, throw it away and look for Fires of Askell.
But yeah, the way you're organizing your stuff looks mighty tasty.
>based Domitian
You're dead to me user, Titus and Vespasian were based, Domitian was a buffoon who couldn't deal with Decebalus or properly defend Gaul.
Actually, I'm translating a novel about him, the Emperor's Assassins by Santiago Posteguillo, though I don't know if I should post the finished product on Yea Forums or in a storytime on /tg/, Yea Forums or Yea Forums.
>But yeah, the way you're organizing your stuff looks mighty tasty.
Some of it is organised but most of it is a fucking mess. And to be honest I only got into this hobby because of the tits in euro comics and manga. As a nice bonus it has given me some cool obscure shit to read.
Oh and the organisation is only getting better. I've gone full autist on it. The tagging process also lets me go through everything I have and do some quality control.
>Vae Victis
Patrician taste user!
You should also look for Marini's Eagles of Rome, Alix: Senator, Apostate by Broeders, Gloria Victis by Fernandez & Guerrero, the Last Prophecy by Gilles Chaillet or the Expedition by Marazano & Fruzin.
I stopped reading after Roba died.
But you're wrong user, I do read that one.
Season 3 never ;_;
>Patrician taste user!
If only it existed in a language I could read. I've found spanish, french, dutch, and german editions but no english.
I've already got the rest user but I guess I'll get around to reading them now and replacing the ones that got translated. But I've lost interest in maintaining this shit for now at least. I'll get around to it at some point.
>Seraph of the End
>underrated manga nobody reads
user...
If it helps, I am planning on translating those that haven't been translated yet, just have some patience since I am slow and IRL gets in the way
I never see Owari threads unless it’s Shinoa waifufagging
No worries man. I have no expectations for anything getting translated. I plan to learn Japanese in the future anyway. There's too much interesting manga I'm missing out on. Until then I can still appreciate the art in these.
And? Owari still isn't underrated or obscure. It gets dedicated threads, despite the waifuposting.
Here's what I've done so far in the meantime.
desuarchive.org

>my master is black

>Souboutei applies too, right?
Yes.
READ IT, Yea Forums
Zanka + Sakamaki reunion when?
>Azumi
Good taste user. Historical manga with female MCs are rare as fuck. Ones with good MCs are even rarer. Here's another one.
I am giving a try to all those mangas Yea Forums said are "meh" or "shit" since I believe Yea Forums has really shit taste and they have this tendency to talk shit of good stuff.
Go on... piece it together...
I don't see Innocent mentioned much on Yea Forums. It's fucked beyond belief but if you can stomach it and the fact that the author is a massive homo, Innocent is really good. It's one of the best manga out there with imagery.
Honestly the comfiest manga I've ever had the pleasure of finding. The anime adaptation never should have happened. The author even knew that it wouldn't translate well but justed wanted cash.
Read up to chapter 9. The execution in the chapter and the character development it forces on the main character is great.
>Shit manga deserved the axe
What about Ravages of Time ?
Great manga about the Three Kingdoms periods, the author manages to reconciliate the historical chronicles with the novel version in a pretty interesting way.
The art is superb
Great manga. Since the author makes a lot of research about 19th century Europe the setting is very believable.
Last month.
It really has some great artwork, however the story is nothing special. A bit of a shame the talent of the artist is wasted on.
I tried getting into it and the scan quality was atrocious. But I just checked right now and it's a lot better, I'll add it to my list thanks user. And I was lying when I said that it was the only good manhua. Song of the long march exists. Or should I say existed, fuck the publishers.
The story is a fucking mess. I blame adult Marie and Instagram.
Despite the looks it's really not your typical shoujo drama, almost no romance and most of the drama is related to ballet (except for the beginning when Subaru is still a child).
There is a 9 volumes sequel.
I think it lost the plot far before Instagram though.
Started good.
Went shit when the "three times as strong as a human" vampires became mooks who would be cut in half with fucking broomsticks. Every character became a superhero.
I'd kill for Sensei, Diana or Margeret scale figures.
hoe bad?
(You)
this is popular im pretty sure
Pretty bad.
Because no one wants to read that shit
Guren did nothing wrong
Domitian's reign and his sound were why the Pax Romana even existed and Trajan took care of Decebalus anyway. I like Titus and Vespasian plenty too. The Flavians are the best dynasty.
I'm writing a fake, dramatized biography in the classical style of Claudia Octavia because I find the small bits of her story really interesting and tragic and there's so much other good stuff to work off combined with paucity of sources meaning you can be a pretty loose with things. No idea where I'd post it I'm just doing it for myself but it's fun.
>manga adaption of old travelogue adaptation
Nice. Wonder if there's any manga about Lafcadio Hearn. That dude's life was pretty great and he's the OG weeblord.
How the fuck do you even adapt this series? More importantly why does it have a "scanlator"?
Devilman gets talked about sometimes, but nowhere near the amount it deserves for something so influential.
How do you guys find these kinds of manga though? reddit mostly only shows the most mainstream shonen or a bunch of romance fluff kinds of thing where the only talk is about "progress" or some isekai crap. Where do you guys find manga that arent some super long thing but telling some actual contained story?
Because its bad
This thread makes me feel less alone and that I now know other people actually read some of these series I thought nobody else does.
Now, a bet no-one has read this, its a manga about Maoist terrorists in 60s Japan.
Also everyone should read Totsukunai no shoujo, the new volumes out this month I think.
A modicum of research.
Patrick Lafcadio Hearn, sorry I'm particular about the Pat part because I'm Irish too.
I'd love love to see a manga about him, I saw a film based on works by him, the Kwaidan thing.
Also there is a short manga about Jose Rizal.
How? You have to have some feed you can look through to find what you like.
if nothing else, try /tg/ and say it's for a roman setting
Additionally a manga about Hirohito exists.
Also, I don't think anyone has read Onward toward noble death or anything by the guy who wrote a drifting life.
it's depressing
literally throw darts at a tag
>>>mangaupdates.com
I wade through piles of garbage on a regular basis to find good manga. I've come to the conclusion that you can honestly judge a manga by its cover and be right 75% of the time whether it's good/worth reading.
There's also mangaupdates. Great site to filter for whatever you're looking for.
>go through mangaupdates.com
>use genre tags to find interesting niche historical/literary manga
>never been translated
Autistic hip-hop waifu is pretty good. It feels like Seki-kun mixed, vaguely, with Komi-san (minus any romance) in a way. Shame it's only a 2 volume series but I guess that means it ends before the concept wears itself out.
Sauce
>never been translated
be the change user
If all else fails and you're too ignorant to even gothrough one of the ten trillion manga websites out there with a tag system, you can deliberately go through the Wikipedia page "List of manga" and read every article until you find something interesting. How about that, user?
You can filter for only translated ones. There's a lot of good historical manga out there. I'll give you one for free.
Try Cestvs then since some fags say its meh.
Protip: its good
Overshadowed by a rip-off
I mean yeah but wouldn't you end up just finding the lowest common denominator mangas?
Huge fan of Yamamoto Naoki. Having a hard time tracking down Red though.
I absolutely loved Arigatou and Believers, though both were rather upsetting/depressing stuff. I'm a real sucker for utsumanga.
Here's one I have never seen mentioned anywhere.
Not if you actually do the research. I'm not sure why you're so confused.
Jesus, fuck off you whiny newfaggot. Fucking lurk moar.
Or don't.
Just fuck back off to reddit, Yea Forums is not your personal manga-location service.
Polite sage for offtopic.
Munakata is about as niche as it gets, I couldn't get into it myself, but I appreciate it for what it is, there should be more like it. The art is pretty great as well.
Great manga that's never discussed.
One more niche historical but that's it from me. Learn to use mangaupdates.
I really don't know why nobody interested in historical manga in the west. Even Kingdom, the most popular and best selling historical manga today gets really little attention here.
I also not really read a lot of historical manga, but that's because everytime i try, i am reminded that i incompetent in history even though i majored in it, and it hurts me
I have never actually seen a single discussion on the Ghost in the Shell Manga. Plenty of the show. Plenty of the movies. Even some on ARISE. But none on the original document.
It started out good. Really amazing atmosphere but quickly became shounen shit. The regular vampires are like storm troopers/fodders now.
Manga gets discussion on /m/
Number Girl
Everyday life of 16 clones.
Speak for yourself and stop going into shounenshitter threads.
What the hell happened to Eko Eko Azarak's translations? It's a great series and I like how the format lends itself well to all kinds of stories from more serious tragedies to straightforward horror to black comedy. Stories where Misa gets revenge on some dickhead who wronged her are always great though.
i dont know why fumetsu isnt more popular, its so good
Is there a place that has anything past 333? Fucking incredible manga
Official release killed the threads.
Since you're interested even though you're a friend filthy redditor.
Just use mangadex then click search.
If you're too retarded just kys.
This is good but the art is really terrible. The author can actually draw if he wants to but it seems that he's not really trying anymore. Also, I wished there were more focus on the other characters. Also, Aramaki best boy.
>its so good
not since the timeskip
>he
Not manga you stupid piece of shit, go fuck your mom in the shutter you fucking degenerate imbecile white fuck
Your point?
That's it's depressing.
>talking about Jiro
>not posting Freesia
yeah it was really emotional and ansty. Romance in Subaru is a mess anyway as it is to the ballet in a good way.
God damn it I want to read the napoleon manga by the guy who did Rose of Versailles. I heard that it was supposed to be good, but i can't find any of it.
Radiant is good, the first volume is bad and the first chapter is worse, but once it finds its feet its a good read.
Anime has too much filler
no one ever talks about the works of Warau Kyuuketsuki here
I love the Laughing Vampire
and I once showed Midori at a Halloween party. I felt bad after showing it
i meant works of Suehiro Maruo. I got things confused
Impressed by the quality of the translation and that the translator did due diligence and used her original book as reference
name oif manga?
Dude ive been reading this for the past hour and i cannot thank you enough. Killer stuff.
manganelo.com
I really really like stories that combine lots of sexual scenes that are also generally all round sad themes.
shut hell if i'm not wrong.
it used to be very popular here, especially among the fujos until it orbit out of relevancy and the plot get stagnating doesnt help.
I really needed Emden to lose, I fucking hated that dude's arc and now he's back in some sort of redemption arc like his only problem was that he lost so now he has to win. It was so awfully predictable that he'd win that I just had to have him win to stay interested in this manga.
I desperately need Loki to win, but unfortunately as we've established Cestvs is formulaic as fuck. Jew boy was a lock from the beginning as a Cestvs opponent (because it's not like we haven't already had him deal with a turtle bruiser... the same fucker is IN this damn tournament and you know they'll have to fight again). But Loki's the actually fun opponent for him to face, it'd be really cool for him to come out of the Gideon fight grasping some more basic boxing technique to complement his natural assets as he strives to stay in this dream environment.
If Gideon wins, he wins by doing the same shit he always does and will do against Cestvs so I can already see how that fight will go (again, because we already saw Cestvs vs. Emden). The painfully red herring knockdown blow at the start of Gideon vs. Loki has me terribly nervous.
Thanks user!
Asano is a divisive mangaka around here, but everyone only discusses Punpun. I think Nijigahara Holograph is a much stronger work in many ways, and definitely has heaping helpings of sex and sadness. Girl on the Shore also if you don't mind a little casual coprophagia.
I already do
The guy who translates this is really dedicated and put out translations nearly everyday
He's currently on holidays though
Never saw anyone discuss this.
Brilliant manga.
Anyone who likes MHA Vigilantes will probably like this. I got a boner AND a satisfying ending!
forgetting city of darkness is a sin user.
I looked it up and apparently there’s an anime for this?
How about you go to the fucking summary pages like a normal person?
Well fuck. I'll keep reading I guess, but duck out once shit begins to stink.
Mr. Clice is kind of like a spy version of Pretty Face. An agent gets into a nasty accident and undergoes plastic surgery (plus robot enhancements), becoming a beautiful woman. There're maybe 10 chapters of it translated.
It's pretty fun. Made by the guy that did KochiKame.
Been really meaning to check this out, I like Hox and he tends to translate a lot of really good stuff.
Why is nobody translating Golgo 13? There are like 10 translated chapters out of 200 volumes
>Higanjima
Boring overrated shit. Read 6 volumes of it.
I like Murcielago. Shame it died because the pussy translator was like "wah it got a release buy it". No. FUCK YOU NIGGER.
No translator can handle his remarkable penis.
>200 volumes
Maybe that is why nigger.
It was good 60 chapter ago. Now you might as well be reading naruto.
The official releases are past the fan scans by a couple of volumes now.
>rome only invented baths after seeing grorious superior nippon onsen
This is the exact fucking opposite of great for history fags
Christ in the manger this shit drives me up a wall
No user. He stopped by the time two volumes had come out entirely. I was buying them but then I remembered I was purchasing manga for 60% of the Japs sell it at so eh. I'll just have to find another manga that is similar to it. Y..yeah.
It's good but the publisher screwed over the author so now it's on hiatus while she tries to acquire the rights to it.
You can just find it online for free like every other manga, what's your issue.
The fable, Saru Lock, Gangking, Nanba Mg5 , Hitman Partime Killer, Zingnize, Eat-Man - The Main Dish, Doushirou de Gozaru, Sasori, Reiri
The last one is a real shame. A strong female mc that is not just useless and can carry her own weight is very rare. At least the comment section for these mangas is mostly active just no discussion on Yea Forums
What do you mean by “he” user?
I saw reading Saru Lock until translations stopped, and then I never bothered to pick it back up again when they restarted.
>Delinquent + Kanjozoku + comedy
No one knows
Who is translating it now?
user I like it, i just binged it, just found it browsing for something with some action cause I've been into romance recently. Its not perfect though. Mei is best girl
+1, also Stardust Memories and 2001+5
Historie and eden it's an endless world
The official releases you dip.
Did you think people just stop pirating manga whenever they get licensed in english?
I wish someone pick it up.
And this author literally has same face problem I thought the mc was shinichi.
I saw the drama
really liked Higanjima and the sequel 48 days later
it's silly shonen pretending to be edgy seinen, but a lot of fun
also incredibly easy to read with only a basic knowledge of japanese
I didn't think anybody was still uploading shit baka. So bite me.
I thought the author was translating it, has he released anything?
Summit of the Gods
>rome only invented baths after seeing grorious superior nippon onsen
Except that didn't happen in the story?
Did you even read it?
the insanity really ramps up after a while, don't let the art dissuade you, you get used to it.
Everybody knows Eden, they just hate it because of the shit third act.
Historie is great, but it's being published at a snail's pace.
Did Taniguchi get to finish the story about the little girl with down syndrome before dying?
I'm not trying to rib you man, I just assumed this would be common knowledge in a manga thread.
The ripper has been broken for months. but there are still people that upload manually for a few series and localization rips.
Last I heard she gave up and is working on a new manga.
It got licenced recently so it's gonna happen eventually.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting Emden to lose. So it caught me off guard.
I just wish the translations were more regular, it's definitely one of my favourite manga. Her culture shock at the people bathing in public was great and people 'going native' is one of my favourite fetishes in anything. Too bad it's incredibly rare.
This might be a bit out of place here but if you've ever liked Pokémon at any point in your life, read Festival of Champions. I stopped playing the games long ago and I'm not a vpfag but the battles in this are really fucking good.
Mostly descends into crying about oily horsecocks
Fun read
Anyone interested in reading a medical drama about radiologists?
Translations are too slow
Does To Your Eternity count? I don't see much discussion about this series.
Sanzoku Diary
/out/ manga about hunting.
Probably because it went from godtier first chapter to a few great/good volumes to shit tier shounen.
No, it's overrated mainstream shit.
Really bad series.
Good realistic fights would be something like All-Rounder Meguru, not Crybabyland.
>I see you haven't read City of Darkness
is it finished scanned and translated? last chapter I read was av getting picked up from being drugged out in his den
I just couldn't get into yet. ahgou was so infuential . but the new mc is jsut meh or worse right now, the monk feels like a better character
so the patrick swayze of manga?
I think it was boring as hell, its not much as lelouche as mao yuusha who is bring new ideas for agriculture
Not quite. Aono-kun is much more spooky than Ghost. It can get pretty fucked up at times, especially when Aono goes full "evil ghost" mode.
should I user? heard the mnc is a crybaby pussy, really don't need that in a survival battle manga
First volume is pretty much the movie.
Second volume is shit.
Useless Ponko
It's pretty big thing in Japan but I don't see it mentioned here.
It's about a grumpi old guy who got an old and therefore not too well-functioning robot maid.
>It got licenced recently so it's gonna happen eventually.
Isn't licensing happened in 2006 though?
Honestly would give up my copies so someone could scan them and share them to the rest of the world.
New chapter come out last week.
Great pick, only problem is that the author doesn't know how to proportionate heads sometimes.
This would be way more popular if it got a english release
Did the author already start a new series?
I loved Basara too.
Sounds like to Mahoromatic.
is this shoujo? it looks shoujo.
very cool user
It is but do you judge the label by its content or publisher/demographic aim? It's early 2000s shoujo btw.
I just generally don't have good experience even when I do like it, Ive only purposely two shoujo series which was lovely complex and taiyou no ita and my god LC was just too much author fucking harping on and on through characters mnaking jokes about the mc height. jesus. and if usagi drop and umbrella rain are shoujo then they add to my list. its one thing to have drama, its another to make the drama a slow crawl with tantrums throwing shit along the way and also not being rewarded
>top-selling series in Japan
>cute girls and fanservice
>anime airing right now
>no chapter threads, anime threads barely reach double-digit posts before dying
I decided to never read another one of his works ever again when he killed off best girl for worst girl in that other story called cross game. and jesus people complain about sameface this fucker uses literal templates for all his characters
Because every manga from that author is literally the same.
Saotome is basically the total opposite of Teppu honestly
Except this one is really useless.
then I made the right choice
Yeah. You read one, you read them all. He doesn't even bother to change the characters.
talk about copy and paste author. how does he get away with it?
I can already see it, thanks for the recommendation.
With that small pool of shoujo manga you have read I don't think you explore the category enough. The label it-self is sparse and it doesn't too strictly tell shoujo mangaka to follow the run of the mill cliches. Most censorship and safe-play writing is dictated by the magazine it is published on rather that the demographic label nowaday. It's not much different from seinen or shonen where you find gold in a pile of trash. If you want to expand your library I suggest you give each manga a read for at least 10 chapters beyond its label. Various genre has various way of telling its story, you learn to understand human perspectives more the further your scope of reading spread out. I think bakaupdate has thread complied with essential shoujos, in case you need to know where to start.
so basically im limiting myself by isolating certain genres from my reading and most shoujo need at least 10 chapters of reading before deciding?
> I think bakaupdate has thread complied with essential shoujos, in case you need to know where to start.
got a link?
>this fucker uses literal templates for all his characters
You could say similar things about authors like Matsumoto and Tezuka. It's not the product of laziness, it's a stylisic choice.
Ideally, a character's design should be able to tell what kind of personality he has and what role he has in the story. Adachi's designs do just that.
There's no denying that his works are very similar, but they're not literally the same. They explore similar themes with different set-ups, and while you might get a different impression, he hasn't stagnated. If anything, the quality of his writing has steadily improved over time.
>cestvs nipponized as sestas
I see a lot of research has gone into this work.
>Nobody here reads manga.
Speak for yourself.
Only girls and homosexuals read shoujo.
I am neither a girl nor a homosexual and I sometimes read shoujo manga.
Maybe because of this?
Also recomendation of Kakushigoto. From the mangaka of SZS it is a story about a mangaka who hides his profession from his daughter. But since it's the author of SZS most of the chapters are deal with different ideas and themes just comes up, like hipsters, dogs, fashion, and mostly the bullshits in manga industry.
not necessary but it's just my perspective. I think it's great to learn new things you're not fond of, because the usual 'you don't know if you like it if you never try.' Thou I do agree with you that sometime I feel like wasting my time, but most of my experience has paid its dividend. Probably some lucks with my picking.
since it's been a while since i check the forum.
I'll pull out a few on my list
Ran to Haiiro no Sekai
Immortal Rain
Basara and seven seeds
From Far Away
Kare kano (you'll probably Enjoy anno's anime more in the first half, finish the manga after that)
Rose of Versailles (the anime is better desu)
Red River (very long, historical shoujo)
Other wise you can fish something from this list mangaupdates.com
Tezuka sucks.
Ran to Haiiro no Sekai is seinen.
did something changed?
Really? Sure as fuck reads like a shojo.
I wish Immortail Rain got an anime. It was one of my very first shoujo that I actually like.
People are just idiots and think shoujo is a genre. It ran in the same magazine that Dungeon Meshi and A Bride's Story currently run in before the magazine changed its name.
Based.
>magazine dictates its label
>genre
here we go again.
It's one of the 2-3 shoujos I ever liked since I usually hate this type of manga too, you should give it a try. It's more of an adventure than the typical shoujo stuff, the drama in the story is basically always war related or interpersonal stuff but not the typical "waah he doesn't love me" bullshit.
Sometimes I wish to read a real mahou shoujo manga with shoujo as demographic, because the shojo nowadays is really annoying to read, the romance and the drama are atrocious.
And aren't those shojo?
No, they're seinen. I honestly don't know why this is so hard for people.
I like the latter, powerleveling and hype coaster manga are just as bad as brain melting fluff shoujo.
>Higanjima
Thought about reading it for a minute back in 2014 and never thought about it again. Maybe i I should read it now that I've finished Kurozuka
you're thinking of Blade of The immortal, user
didn't this manga end when he goes to the future and tries a jap toilet?
>didn't this manga end when he goes to the future and tries a jap toilet?
you should finish reading the rest of it.
cancelled right? it wasn't that bad.
I thought the mangaka had some health issues
despite that I don't think it ended abruptly
better than some series which just go on forever and ever
based
Nobody read FGO manga right? can we discuss? It's filled with rich history.
Noragami never gets threads here.
because it's on hiatus since forever
I actually liked this but apparently the last translation came out back in february? Haven't heard anything of it since.
I like Cestvs but I think it's just a straight 7/10 series at best honestly. Also a bit repetitive in it's core formula with how fights play out.
I was able to get over the fact that everyone looks like yaoi vampires, but as was mentioned, the story isn't all that great.
it's more than enough deal with all the typemoon bullshit, and the fate franchse is way too overrated.
Loads of mangaka get ill, have the series put on hiatus, and then come back to continue it once they're better.
Teppu's author did get ill and have to go on hiatus but the series itself never sold that well and was probably going to get canned regardless.
there are occasional threads here and on /m/, but it's mostly shitposting
it helps knowing either french or italian
I don't really think there's too much to talk about (bar that it's actually funny) thanks to all the animations covering the same ground.
What I would like to talk about is the second volume, because I couldn't make any sense of it at all.
Is seinen also slang for girl? Maybe that's what the confusion stems from. I was told that seinen stood for adult manga like Jiro Taniguchi's, but that was a long time ago so maybe the definition has changed.
The story is on the page, but I am reading it, because there is something in the art style I find pleasant.
Blaster Knuckle. Horror Western where the main character is a black Guts boxer with a shotgun boxing glove killing demons.
It's incredibly fucking stupid and incredible. I'm shocked some Jap managed to convince a publisher to make a manga with a black protagonist and I'm even more surprised it lasted 3 volumes.
Shame it'll never get an ending.
>What I would like to talk about is the second volume
We don't talk about that.
The title is Yuki ni Tsubasa.
>Kingdom
it's slowly getting published in Italy. roughly 1 volume every 4 months. the publisher said they keep going only because it's a labor of love but they lose money on every copy
Seinen is a demographic for young adult and adult men. The actual content of seinen manga is really varied which is why I always feel like trying to use the terms to refer to specific content won't work. A lot of those CGDCT series that people talk about are seinen. There's a lot of female mangaka that draw seinen manga and so that might show through in what they make but they're still seinen nonetheless.
>guy
what's the consensus on Kokou no Hito?
didn't it get an american release of the best stories in the early 2000s?
It's one of my favorites. It's been a long time since I read it but iirc it improves a ton after the first 2 volumes or so, it goes from a lighthearted story into something more serious.
He probably got sick yet again not long after returning from the hiatus. Chapter 29 was published Sep 5th 2014 while chapter 33 was published July 7th 2015, in a magazine that ran monthly during that time. Chapter 30.5 was never published in the magazine I think.
>the series itself never sold that well
Do you have a source?
Damn I wish I had the time to read it
No one has pick this up yet, but I'm sorta glad that they havent.
you guys reading ballroom e youkoso? wish it wasn't that slow to release, I had to put it on hold
It was on hiatus for ages due to the author being ill, it's only just come back a month or so ago
Source? I’m not at my computer right now
>Did you think people just stop pirating manga whenever they get licensed in english?
Sometimes? There are honestly quite a few series that just aren't popular enough that after getting licensed seem to almost disappear. There's quite a few on Madokami alone that don't anymore, it kinda sucks.
damn what is it with mangakas getting sick
Yo te puedo ayudar a traducirlo y a editarlo.
Click the three dots you fucking idiot.
I wish someone would translate Efu no Shichinin to English, I can barely understand what the fuck is going on, but it seems like another crazy ride from Takayuki Yamaguchi.
Viz are translating it right now and plan to release 13 volumes afaik, a few are already ripped.
Once you've read 10 chapters you've pretty much read them all. Doing 1990 more would be absurd.
>Madokami
Is there something going on with that site right now? I don't know where else to ask. It doesn't seem like there have been many updates in the past few weeks.
It's been ongoing for a while now. The owner seems to have more or less given up on it and few people have upload privileges, with active users that do slowly dying out.
Their ripper has been funky for a while now too with no one to fix it, so it's sorta just a downhill ride from here IMO.
Just started reading it.
New chapters fucking when.
This is why I hate official releases.
>cute girls and fanservice
It's Adachi you lying bastard.
You take that back.
Ah, I see. Thank you for filling me in. Is there some new site people use now or do most just read online? I just want to download and read on my kindle.
I read team medical dragon many years ago and liked it, is it good or shit?
I haven't seen any alternatives yet if there are. Most people just seem to be using Mangadex or getting their stuff from threads here.
You tell us, user.
I wish so much somebody would make a faithful and good anime of this but do some original end in which the final boss is actually Anthrax and they kill it with some superfight bullshit and it ends with them still being in the same world and with the old characters and tropes rather than moving on to that serious biblical LotR shit it became later.
24th
every character in this acts like a retard
I caught up with it and never read it again, that's why I am asking
been meaning to read this since I love the anime and ACCA-13 but damn, I have way too much things to do to be reading a slow burn manga now, I wish I can get in the mood to give it a try.
Bio-meat series
aranafansub.moe
¿Cuándo empezamos?
Soon.
>implying Adachi's girls aren't cute
>implying he doesn't put a lot of 80s style fanservice in his works
So the opposite of kuro?
como me pongo en contacto para editar? esos escaneos son buenos? parecen un demasiado falta de detalles
this was my middle school memory. Skipped a few lunch and spending time in the library to finish it
Where did you get this picture of my wife? That I will inevitably die for
The scans are of good quality, save for Satsuma Gishiden, tho the image is bigger, it's kinda pixelated.
As for contact, I'm thinking on making a blog, not exactly a permanent thing yet since I'm not part of a TL/scans team.
Will post link in a few.
Done. Hope it's a fruitful project.
refriedbeanscans.blogspot.com
Discussion for this one pretty much ended once it was licensed. A shame, really, it's a lovely manga.
Butterfly Storage.
I've only seen it mentioned here a handful of times, it's pretty nice. Interesting concept, adequate art, surprisingly endearing characters for this kind of story.
>Thinking Yea Forums exists
In this case Adachi was once shown a lineup of his male leads and couldn't tell them apart. And he'll put meta jokes where people will call the MC of whatever series by the names of the MCs from his other series.
Honestly Adachi's character design is what it is but his strength as an artist has always been in his visual storytelling/pacing and his ability to convey mood and tone through his art. Also really comfy urban environments. He's a great artist.
>The story of Mix takes place in the same Meisei Gakuen high school as Touch, only it is set 26 years later. Like Touch, Mix revolves around brothers and baseball.
>brothers and baseball.
>baseball.
It's serialised in the goddamn Shounen Jump+. How is it a seinen?
Aw fuck, Kuro's ending was kinda stupid, but I love that fucking artstyle.
Late Victorian stuff is top tier comfy.
It's worth it for this moment alone.
Then the ending ruins everything.
Dude that fight recently was fucking crazy Never expected the pretty boy to get done in like that.
Honestly if I was in the last survivor's place I could have done a better job of it. Like you're literally a cosmic god, just rewind it like you did, place an exact dummy of yourself in the place of the real you so fate turns out the exact same, save everyone just before they die while making them look like they actually died with funky teleportation magic, kick the ass of that one destruction-obsessed nutjob when he ascends before he gets a chance to ruin everything, proceed to co-rule reality with your hot twink husbando. I get he wanted a bittersweet ending but it is literally entirely avoidable.
that looks like the ancient magus bride, it's the same author?
cestus is a boring, long-winded, slow, dull, uninteresting piece of shit especially in comparison to the author's other english translated work blaster knuckle.
such a waste of potential to see the author make this drivel after making such a good manga.
>blaster knuckle
>Take yourself back to the 1880s where the KKK is thriving and the African American community lives in fear. The African Americans don't fear the KKK simply because they beat, rape, and kill them. No. They fear the KKK because the KKK eats them. They are the aptly named man-eaters, a kind of mix between werewolves and vampires. They consume human flesh, can shapeshift into various forms, and are practically immortal. Only one man, an ex-heavyweight boxer named Victor Freeman, dares to stand up to them. Equipped with a small arsenal and a set of modified brass knuckles, can our hero defend his people and avenge his past?
what's the name of that short lived manga set in the old wild west, protagonist is a black guy that fights the klan, uses some kind of ''gun punch'' to shoot and hit at the same time
...
glady no.
Currently reading Dr Koto Shinryoujo, very Keaton-esque medical manga about a doctor on an island trying to win over the locals and patch up decades of poor healthcare. Elf Boyfriend & Boyish Girlfriend is filling my needs for additional cute fluff; loved the author's previous series about a pet maou, had a sweet ending.
Very glad that the ethics time manga finally got translations, it's better than I expected to be honest and I'm oddly invested in each episodic dilemma. I keep losing sleep whenever it's updated because I can't help reading it on the spot no matter how late. Here's hoping others on my wishlist get picked up some day!
Don't watch the anime unless you enjoy laughing at QUALITY productions, it really messes up the narrative and makes everything serious comical while removing the humour and characterisation that made the cast endearing/relationship work. Also it makes up its own sudden ending where exploding vans save the day.
but it is...
that's a spinoff retard.
>retard
calm down, the character design is the same in both so it's normal to be confused. two authors coming with similar character design? mhmmmm
It's a genre, there are several manga with similar concept.
>Also it makes up its own sudden ending where exploding vans save the day.
The exploding van thing happened in the manga too.
the character design is a genre? what? also this guy has a spin off of the ancient magus bride? there's some key info I am missing
I know, but it wasn't the surprise solution to everything, I really liked how the manga handled that.
Well the anime was a 12-episode single-cour season, so it couldn't adapt everything right. I enjoyed the show for what it was anyway. It wasn't the worse adaption I've watched.
Monster husbando is a genre.
>two authors coming with similar character design
wait what, at least do you read Totsukuni no Shoujo? the style is really different.
I mean the two monsters
the design can be similar, but the style of both mangaka are different.
and how did one end up making a spin off of the other manga?
