1. AFAIK, it has not been confirmed that KyoAni was the studio in line to make S2.
2. We don't know when it was originally scheduled for, even. It was already pretty clear that it wasn't going to be this fall, since the fall schedule is pretty much known already. Might not have been winter, either.
