Who the hell is charge of security? Cause they're fired.

And thank god for them. At least this utter cancer is somewhat contained.

in america no one knows about One Piece, they're narutards

>1000 chapters of mediocre battle shonen with no end in sight
Someone explain how Wan Piss has any appeal to people who aren't on the lowest age-bracket of WSJ's readership.
Hard mode: don't use the word "fun" or anything synonymous with it.

i dropped at dressrossa.

Me too.

i already read
i just drop at dressrossa

What can i say?

the character designs are awful.

>There are people on this board who still read or watch Wan Piss

yep and i never will
sowwwwyyyyy

cause its shit

I can’t conceive how a shit this long could maintain itself entertaining or innovative to the readers? like, Oda is that creative? you’re excited for the new chapter like it was something you haven’t already seen before? or it just an habit? I’m genuinely asking

never read it
i can tell and it is a trash

>literally hating fun
As a fellow hunterchad, I'm embarrassed.

Because Dragon Ball and Naruto occupied those spots?

Nah, Oda is mostly running on his usual patterns. Part of the reason why people keep following is liking those patterns, part of that is habit, and part is (very) slowly developing overarching story and mysteries. You just get hooked and want to see the end. The best example for it is Marineford war, the build up started in mid-100s, was continued in-between mostly stand-alone arcs and finally in 500s resulted in an arc that made OP the behemoth it is today. Honestly, I don't know if I wouldn't drop it if I had to pay for every installment, but I still have some fun with it.

After reading it, you get invested in the characters. He does a good job at pulling at your heartstrings, and building a living breathing world. When I'm watching hxh or really most any other shonen, the stories insult me by having the world solely exist as a means to forward the protagonist's story.

I dropped at Punk Hazard, so many important shit happened before just so we can go back to useless filler, and I feel that this didn't changed ever since.

I dropoed it at dressrosa and new arcs are boring af would be more fun if an arc wouldnt go on for years also it will never end so nothing matters

I started reading it in 2003 but dropped it a few years ago.

And I never will. Suck my dick ESL.

>battle shonen
One Piece has the least amount of battles in all popular shonen. Most of it is just adventure, the only long battles are the final bosses of each arc. So if you hate battles as much as you pretend to, One Piece is the shonen for you.

Go back to reading BNHA and their "LE WACKY CAPESHIT COSTUMES XD" retard

>it will never end
Have you actually read OP? It's pretty clear where the finish line is and we're getting pretty close.

I lost interest after the timeskip.

>no end in sight
Do you want me to tell you how I know you don't actually read One Piece?

I enjoy "fun" as much as anyone else. However, fun without substance to it is meaningless. One derives fun from enjoying a work of fiction, but everything concerning One Piece's appearance and its readership indicates that it is childish and vacuous. Perhaps that is enjoyable for children, as they are the intended audience here, but for anyone who has managed to sufficiently mature it hardly seems to provide sufficient stimulation.
If you so claim to be a hunterchad yourself, you should surely understand what difference there is between appreciating art and fiction that mentally excites, inspires, and edifies, as opposed to vapid entertainment that targets the immature and feeble-minded.

Like mexican soap operas. But for fags.

dropped it at arlong park, thats when I knew it would just be nothing but uninteresting fights with uninteresting jobbers the whole way through. A shame because I was interested in the world and liked some of the wacky character designs. But every fight seemed like it had no stakes with how OP the main characters are so I couldn't stay interested

You get invested in the overall world and characters and where the story will go. Theirs that many different plot points that Oda has to wrap up before finishing that i'm really interested in seeing if he can do it. Plus the quality in the last two arcs has sky rocketed.

I read from the start to eneis lobby in 2006 and it was awful

Still looks awful

>i haven't read it but i know what its about heh

Close is relative. It can realistically end within the next 10 years but its practically impossible it will be done in the next 3.

Oda is a creative genius and his newest characters are some of his best and most original.
Big Mom is one of my favorite in the series.

I wouldn't recommend watching the Anime, the manga though is a masterpiece

read zou

>dropped it at arlong park
Holy fuck, our tastes are very different dude.

>I can’t conceive how a shit this long could maintain itself entertaining or innovative to the readers?
Everyone has their reasons, I just want to see how it ends. It's too late to drop it now, because I know i'll never have it in me to catch up again.

>there are people on this board who still havent read or wtached One Piece.
Lucky them

these people live life on a higher conscioussness. Oda failed to capture what made this series good

SANJI! He's flame retardANT!

Read the first few volumes when I was younger, but dropped it because Dragon Ball was more interesting.

Everything after time skip apart from Big Mummy was absolute shit.

Guess I must be doing something wrong because I read the first few chapters and couldn't give less of a shit about any of it

It's just too damn long man. Made it till they met Smoker and realized than in the time I took to watch that far I could've finished 3 other series. Just too high a barrier of entry nowadays. I don't have the drive to spend two weeks doing nothing but reading/watching one series that I did as a kid.

>I only read/watch mature series for mature people such as myself
That's the epitome of childish.

truly something when you can immediately call out a dude as a huntard because he's pretentiously shitting on other shonen series. hxh is too good a manga for you childish pseuds.

depends what you're looking for, the first 200+ is mostly just comfy adventuring with the occasional serious moment. Then the stakes and fights keep getting higher and better. The earlier arcs basically lay the ground work for a much more fulfilling pay off later down the line e.g. small arcs that could almost be seen as filler at first become very reliant much later on 800+ chapters later (little garden arc)
