Solomon still the strongest and the story was pretty good. I'm excited to see the remaining mystery behind Moneysbill, the beasts and the alien god.

It's really popular and now everyone is into Fate. But I still consider FGO interesting and at least is not Last Encore, the hell was Nasu thinking.

Honestly, it's great. I was super excited to see Marisbilly because of those spoiler but after watching it, my most favorite part is definitely when Romani taught Mashu about the world outside Chaldea, it is so heart-warming and hits me in a soft spot. I also like that wandering young Romani at the beginning too (would pay to see a spin-off about his life during that time). Marisbilly looks hot and is fucking chilled, now i can't wait to know more about his past. Chaldea as well as all the backgrounds are very nice, and the battle scene is cool. Making a short recap of previous singularities would be helpful for anime onlies too. I was crying a bit at the end, overall i think Nasu and CloverWorks did a good job this time.

Solomon regrets his actions. The man was warned by God himself to not praise demons but he did it anyway, he had the power to refuse what his many wives offered him. The last part of Solomon's story is just him writing about what you should not do, do not repeat his mistakes and a life of regret. Even his kingdom is destroyed, to never be complete again.

Fate Solomon is similar, but this Solomon is empty and probably tried to fill that hole in his soul with bad stuff. Goetia describes him as a coward and someone that is not human. But Solomon had one human act and that was that he returned his gifts to heaven. Romani learns to be human.

It's not bad, but its business principles are legitimately reprehensible even by gatcha standards and the way it handles TM content is far from desirable. It has good moments, but there's a lot of garbage as well, especially during the early Singularities and various events.

Also people aren't happy that it's mostly all that TM focuses on these days and won't even touch anything outside of Fate because of how much free revenue it generates, which is dull and stagnant. Even Case Files can't escape it.

A lot of that is because those games needs higher rarity to even be playable. You get a couple 5 stars in FGO and you're set for the rest of the game. I haven't spent a penny on FGO and at no point did I feel the game was barring me for not having strong enough servants.

He's definitely the Alien God. That was the theory for a while now but this episode made him even shadier. That cold attitude towards the Demi Servant experiments and Mashu's life expectancy not to mention how calmly he takes his own death, them not showing who barged into his room with that gun. All of this is setting up for a future plot point I think. Just like how Moonlight Lostroom set up the Crypters for Lostbelt, I think this episode is setting up the eventual reveal of Marisbilly being the Alien God.

Apparently Daybit was researching "things from beyond this world" at the Clock Tower. Some people speculate that it was research into the Types and extraterrestrials in general. Coincidentally, the Animusphere family's general area of research also happens to be outer space. This is supposed to be the prequel to FGO so you should be able to follow most of the story. There is a montage of future FGO events near the end but that's irrelevant to the story overall. This is basically the story of how we got to where we are at the start of FGO.

Taiga had a comical role in FSN including the Taiga Dojo scenes and doesn't take away anything from the story, she is still a great character and complements the story. In the case of MHX, her role is small and doesn't have anything to do with the main conflict between Solomon and Goetia. It doesn't change a thing.

All of the singularities up to Camelot are filler garbage trying to fit in as many "literally who" servants into one storyline where you do the same node over and over again fighting the same enemies.

Even then it's not like Camelot was that impressive of a story, it was Heaven's Feel but with Bedivere instead of Shirou. Babylonia was a bit better but it was just too long and still fell into the trappings of having a metric shitton of filler nodes. Shinjiku was arguably the peak of FGO, but every remnant singularity after it has been garbage. CCC event was OK too, but it rode off the coattails of the Extraverse.

I enjoy F/GO because it has it's moments and some of the storylines can be pretty enjoyable and felt the writing improved in the later singularities. I do think they take way too long on implementing QoL shit and has other problems, but it's the only gacha game I really stuck with. Most of the servants I wanted are mainly 4* so it wasn't too bad getting them. Never spent money on the game and the prices are too heavy for me to really be tempted. It helps I'm actually a Medeafag above all else.

I do wish they'd take a step back from servants and focus on other aspects like ghosts, demons, other underworld shit. It's really why I want the Tsukihime remake to come out even though it's pretty much cancelled because it would mean they're willing to write other shit that isn't Fate related and not part of their cash cow.

Grand Caster isn't a title, it is a containment that is on a whole level above normal servant containment. Gil was alive for 99% of Babylonia and pretty much everyone back in the Age of Gods are nerfed as servants, so I wouldn't say it is a good benchmark.

Think of containments as a restriction to a person, god, etc. Grand containments just have less restriction on a servant compared to normal servant containments.

More often than not when it comes to the NA translation I see people losing their shit over joke dialogue not being word for word or a translator taking a different approach to trying to convey something about a character because they have a dialect in Japanese that is associated with some trope.
