>timeskip
>cuts hair
I can't believe something so small makes me so mad,it's impressive.

>timeskip
>hair is longer
Long hair is trash.
>timeskip
>character died randomly during it and does not appear for the rest of the show
>offscreen death
This shit always triggers me.
>something small
Hair is a pretty big part of a characters design, and whenever they cut said hair shorter they end up looking uglier so it makes sense that it'd anger you
I find most timeskip character designs are trash.
>cuts hair
You had me at this user, fuck that shit
training arcs are pure billshit
Hair cuts are the best, faggot.
Being a shonen fan and hating tournament arcs is suffering.
>GULP GULP GULP GULP
>PUHAAAAAAAAAAAHHH
>timeskip
>she didn't wait
This still makes me mad
最高!!!
>30 second scene
>BG characters don't blink
Gets my blood boiling.
>timeskip
>only the results matter
Hate that
DIE
>timeskip
>does not grow
It's perfectly valid reason to be mad. Most of the time I do a manga when a character cuts her hair. Unless it makes her look better (90%of the time that's not the case).
>BG characters don't even move
these are the worst
>The adult in a child's body didn't try to a relationship with a girl almost half his age
>timeskip
>character skips development and is suddenly a better person
>timeskip
>isn't the same day
I love my wife maka!
>instead of character development they just get a big scar or loose a boy part
>timeskip
everything and everyone are fucking dead
>Time skip
>Best girl looks worse
>timeskip
>author uses timeskip as an endless source of last moment asspull power ups
can you guess the series?
Has there ever been a good timeskip?
youtube.com
youtube.com
It can be done well.
Does a series that starts with a flashback that then skips forward to the main series count as a time skip or flashback?
Did he ever display romantic interest in her?
Besides, he still had the girl from his present time interested in him (he didn't know he would go into a coma so you can't argue the end results there)
>starts with a flashback
that's considered a framing device
One Piece?
>character gets cup of water dumped on their head
>next day, they caught the flu
>didn't try
Overlord
Kek
Yes
Yeah, post-timeskip One Piece is pretty annoying when it comes to power introduction.
Thats not what bothers me.
>didn't use time reversal
>its lazieset way to hard ship MC with pizza girl who is underage
>villain kept this faggot in a coma for so long why didn't he kill the people he was originally gunning for?
Sengoku Youko
>cuts hair
That's not even bad.
Nothing is a bigger sacrilege than:
>tomboy who grows her hair
>character turning edgy because of one stupid accusation or lie like "you are responsible for [bad thing]! [no proof provided]
>smart / genius character does something incredibly stupid & out of character
and then my favorite
>Strongest, most fitting characters are conveniently always shelved during times when the worst shit happens
oh yeah, and can't forget
>important dialogue happens
>cut the audio when a twist or "shocking truth" is revealed
or the variant
>flashback to a conversation that happened before where a twist and shocking truth was revealed - but it wasn't shown to the viewer/reader at the time
I seriously don't understand this shit. Is it supposed to be some pseudo-intellectual "deep" writing or is it just authos pulling plot elements out of their ass because it's more convenient to invent the story as it progresses?
Relatable
phos cutting her hair was part of the development arc, retard
my only issue is that they didn't have it on-screen
atleast Phos has a canon reason for it.
She/they needed "parts" to replace all the chips and bits that were lost on body/limbs so Rutile just used the excess "hair" to fill in for the missing pieces
>timeskip
>relatable female character gets massive tits
STOP
>sidemouth
bigger tits make unrelatable?
you can shit on haircut all you want but be honest, which one is better?
>timeskip of several years
>somehow the character looks EXACTLY the same and probably hasn't even grown bigger
>the only difference is changed clothes or a single scar.
Give me timeskips where characters look punished & tortured
Give me timeskips where characters have u-turned their whole personality thanks to the shit they've gone through
Give me timeskips where villains or heros have swapped sides
Give me timeskips where the world has evolved or changed drastically
>character does something unusual, or are working hard
>another anime character gets a solid color behind her head plus some weird lazy animation behind it
>"WOW! CHINO-CHAN IS REALLY FIRED UP!"
or
>"As expected of a student of XYZ!"
or
>"WOW! THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING UNUSUAL THAT LITERALLY THE ENTIRE AUDIENCE CAN SEE ALREADY!"
Not all the timeskips are bad, take SnK as example.
oh yeah, also
>a single cold
>they're in the fucking hospital
is japan full of fucking weaklings?
Holy shit it looks atrocious.
first two are alright
third is borderline trash, her face is ugly as fuck
last is horrible, hair disgusting, eyes disgusting, eyebrows disgusting, tits massive, wtf
>walk in the rain for 2 minutes
>paralyzed & bedridden for a week with terminal levels of fever
any kind of exposition that needs a chracter to explain what is happening
whats wrong with the eyebrows?
>Minor amount of character development
>Japs think audience needs to be handheld so a side character screams how they're acting differently
Do japs actually think their audience is this stupid? Or do the writers not know how to properly show character development?
>Fight, detective work or strategizing
>inner monologue with bit by bit deconstruction and explanation of everything that's happening / has happened
>stretch 2-4 second moments to last 5-10 minutes
thick eyebrows+thick bangs of same color=manface
If I have to mention a minor thing, then it would be
>all the grunts from the evil organization look the same
>tomboy who grows her hair
but user, there's nothing wrong with long-haired tomboys. in fact, they're some of the best kinds
>MC only has one obvious love interest
>author writes a never ending harem
&
>this is the state of the world in the future
>story begins as a flashback that spans half the series
Harem shows with braindead female characters whose only purpose is fap material for otakufags
>a new seson of something
>animated by a different studio
>artstyle changed
thick eyebrows are cute
I like this one, although this series has a slightly stranger relationship with timeskips than most
Naruto did it well unironically, since it functioned more to bring characters to an emotionally more mature place, and the only off screen technique that came of it was Sakura using Tsunade's moveset. Otherwise it worked to make the characters have better emotional development than they could've had as kids.
Phos is always cute though, long hair or short.
The rest is fair game but thick eyebrows are moe as fuck you faggot.
>We use THAT instead of talking like a normal person to build up suspense for like a page or two
>it's revealed later why they randomly "died"
She peaked once she got the shell legs
lookin at you jojo with your asspull puzzle battles that lack any sense of action or urgency
what happened to his smile?
It wasn't even that long of a timeskip, like what, 3-4 months?
I assume the shit tier EDs you posted are unrelated to your statement
He found out the truth about his world, accept to became the monster and declare war against the "true" mankind (the one outside the walls) and maibe impreganated the midget small queen.
>main heroine didn't wait
>main villain waited
Kek
There's the rare case were you get a timeskip and their hair gets longer, now that's the good stuff.
at what point does monogatari do this
I feel cheated that Phos didn't use Pads' line when he woke up from the latest sleep.
>older versions are less lewd
I feel like I should know what this is but can't place it
higurashi
>There's nothing wrong with long-haired tomboys
They're tomboys, that's what's wrong.
>hating tomboys
What are you, gay?
what line?
>relatable female character
>relatable
L O N D O N
It's even worse when there's not even a timeskip and they cut their hair to show they just got some "dramatic" character developement.
Who are you people quoting? Stop misusing the quote function.
"I just missed out on living a little."
>powers are activated through self-harm
hot
>Killed millions for shitty reason
>you are forgiven because you are my friend
btfo oldfag
He replaced his smile with genocide.
>beloved show gets a spinoff / reboot
>DUDE WHAT IF
>WHAT IF THE GOOD GUYS WERE THE BAD GUYS
>NO WAIT WHAT IF [CLASSIC SHOW] HAD AN OFF CAMERA BAD END
>WHAT IF WE DID BOTH
>timeskip turns series to shit instantly
SnK
