Yeah I get this, where you just don’t want to suicide but wouldn’t mind dying in an accident

I've thought about that, like does it really matter if I keep living?
I came to the same conclusion Ethics Man did, that being human and being alive is enough justification.

I feel as though each chapter of this manga is an excuse for the mangaka to draw takayanagi in a pose or expression she likes.

Thanks for finishing up user.

This chapter felt a little weak. I thought we would have continuation of chap 7

thanks user. Enjoying these chapters very much

He'll come back for 15, but we have to try to solve everyone else's issues first

Slightly lighter than the other chapters, but still heavy.
It was nice to see Ethics Man be happy.

This is a cool-ass series honestly. You don't get too many manga like this that actually take themselves seriously and pull it off well. The posing and grim yet hopeful art style works amazingly too.

The author keeps it afloat by being smart enough to not just use philosopher quotes to solve everything. Quoting Kant at someone can help them, but it doesn't solve their issues, and this Manga shows that.

This chapter felt quite personal to me, thx for the dump

It hit me pretty hard, reminded me of the problems I had when I was younger.
Being unnoticeable is more relatable for me than sexual violence or bullying.

Thanks for the dump, I was excited for the next chapter.

Thanks for the dump.

>chapter felt weak
>about a guy who wants to be outstanding/special
Funny.

i bet his favorite joke ever is diogenes' featherless biped prank

Thanks for dumping the chapter

>that bashful face
Moe.

Cute rare ethics man

I really appreciate this yeah. A lot of teaching manga just has the teacher find some solution to the student's deep-seated problems, but this series always things a bit bittersweet by marshaling issues instead of erasing them.

i like this series, ethics man doesn't immedaitly solve all his students problems, his sleepy student still stays up but he's paying more and more attention in school, he kinda failed with his autistic student, and ethics teacher himself is a really flawed person who doesn't have all the answers even for his own problems

You don't really need to be a genius, just take it seriously. Imagine yourself actually having these conversations, the results and counter arguments. It's really well done and the author seems dedicated to making it realistic within reason (shit still has to be interesting, plot convenience happens).

Basically I imagine the process is like this. Think of an interesting problem in life, relate it to high schoolers, craft their personality and situation, imagine having an argument with them about it and what would the result be, pick the most interesting result out of the possibilities.

This seems like a really satisfying manga to write honestly, he gets to think out loud through his work and more directly than most other scenarios allow. It goes without saying that I also enjoy reading it.

Goddamnit I used reddit spacing -.-. I swear 2 sentences look like a full paragraph in the reply box... Anyway my tl;dr point was you don't need intelligence, you need an actual understanding of how to think well and thus philosophy. It's a skill not something you're born with or without.

Imouto are quick to recognise lewdness.

What the fuck was the deal with the previous chapter? I understood he was dealing with an autismo/abused child, but both the beginning and end felt so sudden, like I was reading the second chapter of a three parter bu I didn't get the other ones.

I also felt it was a pretty dramatic chapter. It didn’t really bother me too much as that’s just the kind of style that usually goes in this manga, but I could see it coming off as sort of overwhelming.

Part of it is just bewilderment at just how intense this kid's issues are, like how the fuck did he manage to function to get to this point with only a repeat year? This kid's complete collapse at someone raising their voice would have sent him right into hikkikomoriland several years ago.

Fucking hell man, even the physics teacher didn't manage to be this awkward.

You’d be surprised by how many students there are in real life that are actually like him. There are many kids out there whose lifestyles at home are so dysfunctional to the point where it bleeds into their academic career, and who are so severely socially inept, who still manage to scrape by just barely enough at school. I went to school with a couple of kids like this. This kid is so lacking of a proper parent figure that he latches onto anyone possible who he deems as reliable and safe to be around. Using this coping mechanism alone was probably his only saving grace in surving throughout all these years.

Schools are really good at pushing thru 'good enough' students. They don't have the ability to help them so pushing them thru is all they can hope to do.

The idea is that the kid will 'get better with time', but that is a pipe dream.

Aauuu sensei is so cute.
