So Seirei Gensouki, I was following it back in 2017/2018- right up untill cchapter 100 or so.
Rio got crowned the Black Knight, and was just about to confess to his real world/childhood friend everything. Finally. Then I read spoilers in the comments that In the next (back then) untranslated chapter, some chad steals her way before anything can happy. Naturally I got pissed and dropped it like it's hot garbage, but now it's been long enough, my question is thus:
Is the translation far enough past that now that whole stupid mess/arc/whatever is done with?
I want to pick up the series again, but I'm not a fan of what was spoiled in the comments, and I don't want to wade to 50 more chapters of sudden cuck shit to get to the point that they were at when I dropped the series around chapter 100.

Have our expectations just been, dare I say, subverted? I just started watching this and they subverted my expectations with the bicycle. Almost thought they were going to really do a bicycle death to transport him but it turns out that wasn't it and it's actually just a regular magic circle appearing on the ground.

Mushoku Tensei is legitimately bad, it's only popular because it was at the beginning of the isekai boom and is written slightly better than most. But most are written like garbage, so that's not a high bar

He proposes to her because he still has the mental age of an adult. He doesn't acutally marry Roxy until he's in his mid 20's. Roxy was also about 2-300 years old, so she wasn't 16.
He didn't magically become elite. The body of Rudeus was acutally weak and couldn't harness the battle ki of a normal fighter. Rudeus only became top tier because he studied magic while he was a child, and trained to exhaustion everyday, which widened his mana pool to an absurd level. This isn't exclusive to Rudeus, his first wife, the elf had a similar mana pool and faster casting speed because she did the same training style that he did. Then at the end of the series, he and Roxy published their findings, and EVERYONE (who started training from childhood to exhaustion) was able to have giant mana pools + faster casting.
Infact, he never even became a badass in battle because his heart was too soft. He never enjoyed killing, and he was always scared to fight alongside friends and family because he wasn't sure hw would be able to protect him. Not to mention that there were like 7 other people stronger than him.
There was nothing special about Rudues, especially since he literally failed during his first attempt in the new world.

His father gave his life so that he would survive the hydra. The assassin during the zanoba arc escabed bedore Rudeus could beat him in a fight, mostly due to his cowardice (Rudeus was scarwd that he or his wifes would die in the fight).
Rudeus loses most of his fights user.

More than 7 are above him, and the point he's trying to make is Rudy isn't anywhere near as strong as you people make him out to be and that he's very reliant on safety nets unlike the others. For an isekai MC there's no reason to complain about how strong he is given that he rarely is capable of finding situations he just flat out bulldozes people with brute force and the situations that do happen with brute forcing are those involving very weak individuals.

Epilogue Rudy pre-gravity mastery can't even solo Ghyslaine without his power armor because of the latter's magic eye. It says a lot about his power level when even final battle Rudi without power armor would lose to rainbow mohawk who he jointly defeated a few years ago. That's years of essentially trivial combat prowess. What Rudi does do is build up allies and his mini-Gundam, using his time to trip up Hitogami's schemes preemptively. At no point does Rudi just sit down and cultivate and breakthrough a tier or two, he's not even capable of it even if he wanted to.

His talent in fighting is so garbage that despite being trained by Orsted for all these years he's still inferior to basically anyone above Paul in fighting instincts. A guy like Jino Britts who stays in a fucking snow village all his life can insta-kill Rudi no matter what so long as he's within sight.
