That is the year in a row that the guy there has done a figure based on a irodori/Yaoyorozu anime character, the first was Serval from Kemono Friends, the second was Oni Musume from Hentatsu and now we have Rin from Kemurikusa. Also, this guy got a visit from the three members of irodori the past year, so I wonder if he will also get a visit from them this year

John Morris
Well here is the thing.
The fan art was posted after ten and a half minutes or eight minutes if you discount the running time of the video.
Maybe he was already drawing that thing so it was only needed to add the Shironezumi.
Grayson Ward
It's likely since other artists have been making festival related images recently. In general he works insanely fast though, it's really amazing.

That is when an Ultra Wide Screen monitor with a resolution of 3840x1080 would be pretty helpful, you could literally play both the broadcast and Blu-ray version side by side at the same time, on the same monitor and on native resolution, so you could easily make comparisons.

twitter.com
"(Just touched today, so I was amazed by the trend #Gunkanjima)"
Some hours before he posted that image it was announced that Hashima Island aka Gunkanjima was being closed to tourists because of recently discovered high levels of asbestos that go beyond safe levels, so the news sparked an huge Twitter trend of people talking about Hashima Island.
Also, there is people speculating that image may be the image used as the cover of the DVD with the Twitter shorts that irodori may release on the fourth day of the Summer Comiket on August 12th.
Tatsuki has been somewhat unlucky. First the Space World on Kitakyushu was demolished on 2018, then the Whity Umeda fountain was also demolished on May. Then on July 24 it was announced that the Wakaba brand of cigarettes will be discontinued on October and then on July 31 was the announcement about Gunkanjima being closed to the public.
Jayden Hughes
This new twitter redesign is really really messing with my efforts to save new Kemurikusa images. The filenames aren't even coming through right.

I liked the concept and the girls, but dropped it at episode 4 because I could not stand how the isekai dude acts like a literal fucking robot. Dude has no personality even among the blandest of self insert MC's to the point that it was fucking jarring and offputting to me.
>Wow look at this flower how interesting
>Wow look that toxic red mist how interesting
>Wow I almost died how interesting
Kaban-chan didn't have much of a character herself but had enough for me to identify her as a person and be ok with her. Also I want to like her legs
Jace Gomez
Well, he made a tweet about the Kyoani fire some hours after the news broke and by the wording of the tweet it seems he was very sad, but how much of his sadness came from being a fan of anime or as a fellow animator or as a fellow Japanese citizen I do not know.
Also on the Kemurikusa special event on July 20th, that is some days after the fire, they did not talk about that thing, but there is reports about him getting a little less skinny and with a little more hair, so it seems his health is just alright.
Kayden Myers

That area does seem to be where lots of people complain though. He's like a mix of Serval and Kaban except not a girl so not as cute doing those things, or depending on how you look at it he acts much like a little brother constantly asking about everything. He grows and gets to be quite great later on if you're willing to give it a chance. I liked him throughout the whole show but it's definitely understandable if you got filtered

What skills and abilities would Wakaba have?
I think he should be defense-heavy with lots of weird special abilities, but weak basic attacks.
Definitely a shield as guard. Midori as health regen, either passive or as a skill. His ultimate should be summoning of Akairo and attacking with it.
Aaron Stewart
I think he's more of a healer type, has tools to protect himself but wouldn't be able to tank too much for the whole party
Jackson Kelly
Are we talking about RPGs or fighting games?
In fighting game, he should be able to defeat opponents on his own.
In RPGs he is definitely a support/healer character.
Or dishing out poison.
Gavin Wright
I find the whole Nezumikusa thing really funny with mdoh's timing on everything. Not only did he joke about the oni waking up when Tatsuki ended up making a post, but he was also making images of irodori characters as cats before this happened

Yes, they have been strategically scheduling things like collaborations, for example, the Animate x Good Smile x Kemurikusa Café started twelve hours after the end of the broadcast on TV Tokyo of the last episode and the special event was celebrated six days before the release of the last Blu-ray volume.
There is also a four pages long interview with all the three guys of irodori on the latest issue of the official Comitia magazine, but it seems that magazine does not have an ebook version, you can only get it on selected stores.

Nicholas Foster
How do you measure a characters popularity?
Did he win a poll or something?
Wouldnt being there from the start make it more likely something kills a show since people drop it there and there before they get invested?
Camden James
>people drop it there
You mean tasteless westerners who watch shit like the Mommy isekai or pseudo-intellectual trash like Lain?
Isaiah Hernandez
There's no true way to measure popularity so it's difficult to argue for both sides, though in Japan where it's the most popular Wakaba gets quite a bit of fanart and praise on twitter, futaba, etc. Meanwhile, I only really see hate for Wakaba over here from a few dedicated shitposters and maybe hear about it occasionally from people who pay more attention to garbage like MAL. Also, I meant more of Wakaba being there from the true start as he appeared in the original Kemurikusa, with only slight differences. Anyways, the whole idea of "males ruined Tatsuki's popularity" is stupid and just a stupid attempt to force an agenda
Adrian Miller

Jack Roberts
Either way is fine by me.
Even though I don't like asanagi too much and hate to think about what someone might do to the oni with a doujin like that, I'd love to see it
Liam Hill
Who mentioned "males"?
if you have "few" dedicated shitposters what does it say they came up with the filtered meme, I'd say its overwhelming amount of shitposters hating on wakaba because hes so garbage and they were so many fans trying to transfer over from the kf generals who were disappointed.
As for fanart, sankaku has 300 entries for kemurikusa and 62 for wakaba. Kemono friends has 25k entries with 4.5k entries for kaban.
And you seem to know whats up with mal scores.
In the end Wakaba ruined the show for most people who were prepared to tolerate the shit animation thanks to Tatsukis other qualities. Having characters standing perfectly still for half a minute+ wakabas whining was too much.
Jacob Cox

I was jumping to conclusions a bit so it's my bad if you're not actually one of the /u/fags but almost every time, even in the older threads, it was a forced meme by prickposter and other del/u/sional anons who can't handle males. A lot of people on these threads like Wakaba, and a decent amount of people who stuck around that disliked him at first ended up enjoying his character growth later on. Also, I wouldn't say it's very fair to compare Kemurikusa's numbers with KF's when there are a lot more factors that caused it to be smaller.
>completely missing my point with mentioning the idiots at MAL
Regardless, I don't get why you're trying to force this idea about Wakaba ruining the story when he's quite popular with fans of the show and did a lot to help with the story

Wakaba is a deconstruction of the beta harem MC.
Episode 1 was brimming with all the cliches of a useless guy and a girl who just suddenly fell in love at first sight.
But we all came to discover that useless guy was far from it at all.
He was like Sam of Lord of the Rings. He has no powers, no name, no legend to fulfill, nothing but a sense of heroism.
He never had the glamour and shine of the power fantasy turds.
Nor did he had the heavenly situation of the self-insert fags.
He is just an average joe who does what must be done.

rin would be a fantastic dom
Dylan Rogers
The guy that did the Rin on OP's image already did a Nezumikusa's Rin.
twitter.com
Samuel Gray
John Hughes
Pretty normal trend, the difference would be worrisome if, for example, Shiro or Midori were getting more fanarts than him or if Rin or someone else of the three main sisters were getting like five times the amount of fanarts of Wakaba.
Besides, the one thing that matters here are the Japanese people posting fanart on Twitter or Pixiv, not the people re-uploading a selection by their own hand of fanarts to boorus like Sankaku were they have a clear preference for fanarts featuring females.
Carter Hughes
Yes, they are angry because they did not get liquid food put on their mouths like they wanted and I am not making shit with the "liquid food on mouth" thing, because that is a metaphor literally made by an award-winning old timer guy working on the anime industry since the early 60s.
Juan Morgan
Well, the Kemurikusa thing was not a betrayal, because Wakaba was on the original short since the first minutes of the running time of the short, besides that you have more irodori shorts like Megane (the first one) and Last Onmyuji featuring the trope of nice guy x tsundere female and Wakaba is too important on both versions to be removed or get a change of sex, so those /u/fags or prickfags or harem paranoids are nothing more than a bunch of misinformed idiots, thinking that CGDCT is the only thing that he is willing to make or that he should lick the assholes of them.
Meanwhile Mine should start using the middle name Traitor tanks to all the bullshit he has done to his own franchise and its fans.
Henry Moore
Then have you watched only the first half of the first episode or what?, because he did admirable and helpful things since the last part of the first episode when he helped pretty much to save Rinako of the huge Red Mushi and we could count at least one occasion per episode of him doing something similar, plus also occassions were he was a badass like what he did on Mount Fuji with the nushi or him making a tag team with Rin against the Red Three on the last episode.
Dylan Brooks
Well, if Osamu Tezuka were still alive he would be getting aroused with all that Nezumikusa sisters fanart.
Caleb Lee
No as far as I know, that shit must cost a lot of money and take a lot of manpower hours and knowledge to make, until now I have only seen two guys making a completely functional Shiro robot, although I like best the one on the video even though it is a little bit smaller than the one done by the other guy.
Liam Morris
Nah, the oimo thing was started by the fans and then got a bigger push when Tatsuki posted the wagging oimo tail gif, basically that means that sometimes official pictures hit the nail and that results on an explosion of fanart and fan works and on the birth of a new meme.
Josiah Bennett
The nice thing is that Yaoyorozu was faithful to tradition and released Kemurikusa as an half price show like KF1, so you can get the whole series for 22680 yen, that is half the price of 45360 yen that would cost your average 12 episodes on 6 volumes late night anime, plus you get a lot of extras both on disc and accompanying the discs, so I think is a pretty fair deal.
I would only be interested on a dub if they translate all the audio commentaries and booklets, if they do the bare minimum job of making a dub and dubtitles and then slapping that on two BD50s put inside a simple BD case then I am not interested on an US release.
Jayden Rodriguez

Well, you have until the seventh day of this month to go and see that thing, so try your best to find a window of time to go and pay it a visit.

What's in store for Tatsuki now?
Brandon Allen
The people is expecting him to release a DVD with the Twitter shorts on the fourth day of the Comiket on Monday, August 12 and if we are very lucky an announcement of a new TV series.

I had so much fucking fun teasing my nephew over that.
"No, Wakaba's clearly some kind of alien. He has read blood, he isn't made of leaves, he doesn't regrow his limbs. It's pretty clear he isn't human like those girls are."
Kept that bit going right up until episode 11.
Adam Martin
The girls were made using combination of different Kemurikusa to basically transmute Riri.
Green Kemurikusa only returns things to their original state, but I imagine Wakaba's connection to it is pretty unique. I'd like to think there was a little bit of Wakaba in Midori, just so Ritsu's connection with was more than just her projecting her own feelings onto plan.

Well, that is the problem, each case is unique, because they did use different sorts of Kemurikusa on different ways and with different results, so that is a bit like the Ship of Theseus.
And yeah, how much of Riri personality and memories influenced the sisters and their way of living before and after they meet Wakaba is something interesting, for example, some of the phases used by Doc Wakaba on the eleventh episode are similar to phrases used by Ritsu early on on the series
