caught up with the manga a few months ago but reading this mediocrity weekly has me close to just dropping it completely.
The story is just dull, zero character development and the artwork is uninspiring. The progression is also way too fucking fast, now they are using drones where just a few weeks ago they were struggling to create basic medicines.
Wont be long until the series hits a brick wall

Unironic 9/10 in my opinion. Could be a 9.5/10 if it sticks the landing.

The plot isn't anything special, characters aren't super deep, and the themes aren't very heavy, but it's fun. It's pure fun. Seeing the characters interact is fun, seeing them learn new mysteries and develop new things is fun, and the emotional moments hit, on top of it being one of the few manga I actually find funny.

Catches way too much hate here. Hell I don't even understand why people hate the prologue, I think for as short as it is, it's really cool to see the characters trying to figure out how to face off against Tsukasa.

Even in the first chapters people wanted it to bomb. I always just thought it was because people just generally hated Boichi and manhwa

The first part with Tsukasa, Taiju, and Yuzuriha isn't as bad as people act like it is.

It’s a fun show, that’s really all it is. If you’d like to sit down once a week and watch a story that not many have done then you’ll like it. But if you want to get really deep into it and really think about it the story will crumble.

Because they needed Yuzuriha to not be a liability, and they were acting on emotion because they're very old friends. Tsukasa even notes that the most logical thing Senku could've done was to bury Yuzuriha's statue and come back for her later so she couldn't be taken captive, but he still revived her anyway. He's not a cold, heartless machine that does everything clinically. Yuzuriha moving comfortably was more important.

I read the manga, I think I'm a few weeks behind

1. Character development is garbage, I like the characters when they're introduced, but they either go nowhere or get flanderised.
2. The science. It is absolutely going way too fast for a series meant to be grounded in realism. Creating that massive fucking ship, as well as radar, is why I dropped it.

It isn't exceptional. I'd say it's still worth a read, probably not a second one though.
