And this is why the series is so shit. Cases like this most often occur via the man grooming the girl into becoming his wife. Having the girl pursue the relationship is absolutely unrealistic. Many people have no problem with physically unrealistic things like magic or jumping fifty meters into the air happening in fantasy anime but will draw the line at the psychologically impossible. A girl who is Latina's age will never come to harbor feelings for a foster father.
