No it really is an incredible movie. Contrarian fags just hated it when it came out because it messed with their idea of a happy ending.
I like how it ended up with this a lot better. It leaves it an such a bitter sweet ambiguous note that feels a lot more natural for Urobutchi. Homura reached her conclusion, but in doing so she ruined herself, and possibly ruined the only thing she cared about to create a good ending by force. You're left with so many questions afterwards. Madoka and Homura's relationship was made way more dynamic and put way more into question from how it was at the end of the series. After the original series people only cared about Sayaka and Kyouko as the interesting pair, Homura and Madoka were the boring pair. This reversed it; it made people see their relationship in a very different light.
The world is a bubble on the verge of bursting, Madoka will get her memories back, its already foreshadowed that Homura's world can't function in the long run despite her ruining everything to create a fleeting peace for everyone. What happens next. It legitimately made people wonder.
