I'd say the weakest part about Kasane was the ending/final chapters.

It was kind of rushed but overall I enjoyed Kasane's ending

Death Note shits all over itself with Near and Mello. But at the end, when Ryuk writes Light's name down and he freaks out and panics at his own impending doom followed by Ryuk's nonchalant farewell to the rest of the humans was a top tier ending.

I think the last flashback is weak but the manga's ending is glorious in overall

That final chapter had me sobbing like a baby.

It's more of the same slapstick.

Didn't like the ending at all. Didn't feel consumate with a dying world to have it come crashing down to a definitive end. That never really fits the dying world as a setting. I think the authors depression flared up toward the end.

Nothing came crashing down. The end of humanity was not some movie last stand but laying down hungry in a cold environment, wondering what you could have done differently to survive, then realizing you would have just died somewhere else eventually anyway.
It was about enjoying life harder because it will end.

The manga completely 180s on the early chapters where there are some people left only to drop the hammer and say actually there's no one left now get to the top of the tower and go to sleep.
It's not inline with the manga and so I don't like it. If you think the ending isn't a pivot I don't know what to tell you. It just is.

The ending was honestly pretty abrupt and disappointing, if you ask me, especially considering the top quality you got throughout the manga up until that point.

I fucking hate Kasanes ending. Mom coming back to fuck over Kasane was a brilliant idea but it had no set up. If there had just been ONE panel somewhere of mom reading a letter with a shocked expression somewhere to set her up as the Chekovs gun it would have worked. As it stands she just sort of came out of nowhere and it sucked. Need to have a set up in order to have a payoff. I hate saying this because the rest of the manga was so damned 11/10 good.
