It's always been my favorite Shonen. I've always been fascinated at where it stands on a sales and popularity spectrum in Japan. I'd never heard a company selling a series to another before this and was blown away by the news.
It's had like 4 series, half of which were cancelled, so I'm surprised a new anime was even on the table, too bad Takei had a stick up his ass.

The ending had very interesting concepts and the final twist was great but it became a huge clusterfuck in general.
It would be nice if SK could get the same treatment of FMA and have a new anime closer to the manga, except in the end where it is tweaked a bit to help with the pacing and make it the definitive SK. I think Takei was dealing with imminent axing back then so had to rush things.
