The whole plot of the movie is pirates participating in a festival, marines infiltrating it then at the end defeat Bullet, the evil pirate for whatever evil plot he devised at this pirates fest which took Pirates, Marines, CPO, the Revolutionary to team up and defeat together.

Makes sense. Sanji was about to get stomped by Vergo if that fight went any further. Smoker at least put a sort of a fight against Vergo-san.

law knows that if luffy finds out he is captured, luffy is going to come rescue him. He needs them to carry out the plan. I think everyone realizes that if luffy knows where law is, they are going to come get law at some point - beast pirates stack up their defenses around him.
