The cool rival ends up being the fan-favorite character 90% of the time.
Loli waifu.
Because all the other characters are even worse

The rival is always the best character in Rumiko's works. It's almost universal to everything she does, just like how the main heroine is also the worst girl.
Rin is the best sexiest girl in the show.
Lum is best girl though you piglike heathen
>chick writes a villain as sympathetic
>adds a self-insert little girl
yep
Not a fan of ntr but I'd lying if I didn't say I wished for a scene with Kikiyo cucking Inuyasha with Sesshomaru.
Best girl with best boy only makes sense.
Rumiko didn't intend for her to be the main heroine, that's why.
By getting the best character development
Kikyo a best.
Correct.
Best chance for lucky girl.

No, Rin is true gal unlike clay demoness.
I love Kikyo so much.
I wish I could mend her cold broken heart so she could dere at me.
You and me both brother, literally no other girl can compete with perfection.
need to say more?
Because his predicament is genuinely interesting.
He's the older brother psychopath who wants to murder everything around him only he's been handed down an all powerful sword from his father that only allows him to give life wherever possible effectively making him Jesus Christ. He genuinely gets character development contrasting his useless annoying brother and it was quite interesting until the author stopped running out of ideas and things for the character to do other than pout and act like a tool again.

BOKUTACHI WAAAAA
The revival sword isnt even the most Jesus Christ tier he gets, it's when he manifests a sword out of his ass that gives him the exact power to kill Naraku, and basically every other demon in that universe if he can land a hit on them.
Personal second favorite.
