There are only supposed to be a certain number of people in the world and for each person there is a grimoire that is directly connected to their magic. This connection should happen at birth so they have magic without physically possessing the grimoire. The one outlier is Yami who got isekai'd from a world without magic. He shouldn't exist in that world but he does and a grimoire linked with him and gave him magic. So the balance between humans and grimoires is now off by one. The demon possessed grimoire was just hanging out until it found the perfect host of a child without magic that is capable of using demonic anti magic.

Asta's and Yuno's lineage is up in the air anons. While we know now Yuno carried the soul of Licht's son, we still have no idea where he cme from, and he was alongside Asta when they were left at the cruch. Asta having no mana is really weird, everyone that is born in this woirld has at least an ounce of mana, no matter how miniscule is it. It doesn't matter if he's a failed attempt of mixing different races or if he's actually a human with nothing going for him, he did work his way up with this condition.

Basically, "akuma" is more towards a "devil", as in it comes from hell itself. While "majin" is more towards a "demon" which doesn't usually come from hell, but is created from a human.

Akuma is "悪魔", which is the kanji for "evil" and "evil/magic spirit".
Majin is "魔神", which is the kanji for "evil/magic spirit" and "god".

They are considered synonyms, with each work using them in different ways.

In Black Clover the devil comes from hell while the demon is created.

So the difference is about how much they put an accent to the evil side.
In Toaru Majutsu no Index, for example, Majin refers to magicians (魔術師) who mastered magic to the point they became literal gods.

In fact outside of anti-magic and fundamental physics concepts such as light magic, space magic and gravity magic I don't really see anything that could beat time magic.

If you have the basic attributes you are limited to various basic spells and only your mana determines your strength, even Noelle's dress requires loads of mana and is the most complex basic attribute spell. Why is Clover at risk of being destroyed now? Julius has been weakened but some of the other magic knights like Fuego and Asta have grown stronger and Clover could also guilt trip the 4 elves to help out for a while. If anything the kingdom is probably overall stronger now. You could argue that rebuilding is an issue but only the capital has been destroyed. Most of the countryside where the fighting would happen is still fine and it's not like the capital is responsible for producing food or something anyway. You'd also think that the earth mages would be able to repair a lot of the infrastructure by the time that word of Clover's current state actually reached Spade/Diamond and they decided to mobilize their armies.
