And only after Rebuild 4.0 has just released, no less. Has Anno's interest in anime been revived?
>Production: Tsuburaya Productions, Toho >Scripts: Hideaki Anno >Director: Shinji Higuchi
>Studio Khara announced on Thursday that it is producing a Shin Ultraman (New Ultraman) film for release in 2021. Shin Godzilla director Shinji Higuchi and his Higuchi-Gumi team are helming the project, and Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno is in charge of planning and scripts.
>A draft of the script was completed on February 5, and Anno will focus on the project after completing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||), Studio Khara's new Evangelion film. TOHO will distribute Shin Ultraman.
>Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 (Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||) will open in theaters in Japan in June 2020.
Don't retreat into infantile escapism, unless you're Anno and can play with your toys and get paid for it

The amount of non-live action projects that aren't raping Evangelion's long skeletal corpse Anno has been involved with post Gainax is literally 0.
Liam Jenkins
Nah, it is more like Khara is credited as a production partner because they are handling things like the script, direction and maybe design work, that is something like they did with Shin Godzilla, so more like the ones throwing bick bucks to finance this seemingly live-action movie are Tsuburaya Pro and Toho

>Ultraman >anime Especially unlikely since he probably got the job thanks to the success of Shin Godzilla.
Michael Carter
Is the reason as to why Anno isn't directing because he is to busy with 3.0+1.0? If so do you think he is salty, since directing an Ultraman film would probably be a dream come true for him. Maybe he will hate Evangelion even more now.
Jacob Anderson
Based, it's going to be god tier like Shin Godzilla.
