Closer to the timeline, i'dd love they decided to go from 6 to 10 competitor per side. Baki could go to america to recruit Ali Jr (with a matured fighting spirit), Shibukawa would bring Jak (who understood in his fight with Motobe that he can't rely on pure savagery like he did), the Orochi could go to China to recruit Kaku Kaio, who would decline and propose Dorian Kaio (who is currently training again in chinese kempo) and Sukune could propose to Oliva so he could have a revenge by proxy against another sumo.

It would add a boxer, a chinese kempo user, a grappler, a pure brute, and give to all those guys a chance to shine a bit again.
