As many as it takes.
0, very often.
But I have dropped anime at over 50 episodes in.

shut the fuck up mongoloid retard

Intelligent person here. It should only take you one episode to decide

I dunno, like 11 or 17

No anime is worth my time

Zero, it's pretty easy to tell what you will like and what you won't when 90% of anime is adaptations. Just watch shows you were reading.

0-3

It depends from the content you are watching really, I was really enjoying stains gate 0 but I ended up dropping halfway tru the show cuz the plot was prigressively going downhill and never finished it. Also dropped jojo part 3 cuz of its boring villain of the week structure and too many episode, surprisingly enuff i found part 4 & 5 rly enjoyable

0 to 1 episodes honestly
Some anime are bad enough you can tell from just looking at the cover image and source material details. But if you get past that then you should be able to tell in the first episode. Look passed the premise and any bs they typically use to try and hook you and look at how its shot/directed/animated/paced.

You can easily understand if an anime is worth your time or not easily if you've watched enough anime. 3 episodes rule is a reddit meme

Even MORE intelligent person here, stick to the three ep rule

Three episode rule and please don't make this a JoJo thread. Though sometimes anime need patience to get to the good parts.

Somewhere between none and all. With some shows you know they're garbage just from the name, the plot description, or the director/studio behind it.
Other shows string you along only to reveal at the last moment that they were wasting your time all along.

Depends on how long it takes for me to determine that it is, in fact, a waste of time.

Most require less than an episode because I know what I like. Sometimes I'll give a series a chance and use the three episode rule as a guideline and extend it by three episodes as needed whenever I go through a series, which spared me the trouble of sitting through all of Darling in the FranXX.

Three episode rule is for casuals and idiots, one episode is all you need to tell if your initial assessment is right or not

Usually just the first episode, but if I hear that it gets good I try to force myself to watch it, after months I'm still stuck watching the first season of jojo

Yeah I dropped 3 and 4 for that reason
5 and 2 felt way less villain of the week and felt more like linear plots

1

if it has cute girls = its good
no girls = bad

I only watch anime if I like the characters

More inteligent person here, you should just listen to what Yea Forums recommends

shallow and pedantic

usually 1-3 but if the show is long you can give it a little more time

I'm usually wary enough that simply watching a PV or reading the description is enough for me to not bother with something.

I have a very huge autism about finishing what I started, meaning I usually grit my teeth and finish shit even if it gets progressively worse towards the end (like Kill la Kill, Guilty Crown or the bigger portion of Naruto Shippuuden)

The only one I wish I'd just stop following is One Piece
I hate that shit and what It has become, but at the same time I've invested too much time in to it to not see it through.

If I like some of the characters, thats enough.

Depends. Between 1 and 12.

shoo moetard

2 episodes

i don't base it on episodes, but rather on whether or not it has the theme that i like.

i dropped Occultic nine when the first 2 eps look like it will just be about noob MC investigating fake rumors with airhead girl with big boobs, rather than something with a vibe of serious paranormal investigation like Ghost Hunt

I would usually drop around 4 episodes in. But, since Gurren I upped the ante to 14.

However many it takes until I get bored

With experience, about 2 minutes is enough

user, please. i know exactly how you feel but it gets so fucking good i promise. Part 2 is probably one of the best animes i’ve ever seen

If you haven't watched it fully you can't judge.
> But my time is really valuable
Come on faggot, you're posting on Yea Forums,

>you’re posting on Yea Forums

user you just fucking killed that guy

Reading synopsis

0, because you can just check MAL score to see what you should watch
anything below 8.00 = hard pass

12. One cour is all it should take to decide.

unless you're a brainlet who can just get distracted with flashing lights the premise is literally the least important aspect when it comes to how good an anime will be

>MAL
Good bait, made me reply

>thinking that myanimelist scores or reviews are reliable in any way shape or form
I'd rather consider unironically reading a journalist review than anything on MAL

Yeah i remember dropping anime after finishing it once.
