Imo it's way worse than season 1. All we get is side character development. The screen on time of Saitama must be about 30 minutes through out the whole series. The only episode that gave him a decent screen on time is the one that he had to fight other dudes in a dojo championship. All I hope is that season 3 won't be utter horseshit and we will actually get to see him beating some boss monster's ass.

It dipped a bit in quality, but season 1 was also miles past all other anime that year in terms of animation.
It also lacks a super mega hype fight like season 1 had.

I know that all the sound stuffs are added when the animation is done. The VAs probably got depressed after seeing the shit that was s2 after what they saw in s1. The only good voice actors were the new ones that didn't participate in s1, in other words, Suiryu's and Garou's. Fuck, Suiryu's crying scene was the best acting in the whole season.

You should pay more attention to what you're actually criticizing. It's established from the very first episode that Saitama seeks a thrilling fight. He gets angry that the very first villain we see only takes one punch. He literally dreams of fighting an army of monsters who can actually hurt him. Even in later episodes he gets disappointed when his opponents only take him one punch to beat.

The animation is worse than the first season but I would say the plot and the characters are even better, I fucking love Garou, he's just the best

Season 3 was supposed to give the big pay-off of the MC faction's big reveal to the world with a powerful display of magic to route an army of a quarter million. This involved sacrificing a large number of the enemy to summon 5 eldritch horrors. All of season 2 and 3 we expected the lion's share of the budget would go to this, however, it ended up being some absolutely garbage cgi for almost the entire thing, minus named characters.

This is actually a low point for Saitama so it would make sense. He is getting more and more bored by the day. Boros actually being capable of taking a few punches was interesting and disappointing for him at the same time. Boros is the one and only God threat the Hero Association has faced and he was barely a challenge to Saitama. He goes to the tourney and finds that Martial Artist are just as weak as the regular monsters he faces. Even a monster martial artist like Goket is a joke to him and dies in a single punch. If the voice acting is showing disinterest, then it's well founded. I don't think Saitama gets any sort of direction change until he talks with King and kicks Garou into the garage.

What you say is true, but the problem is that there's a few scenes where he's supposed to show more emotion for trivial reasons and he VA just plain fails to deliver there, as if he wasn't given the memo and wasn't paying attention himself. That part after Saitama blows Suiryu's clothes away has him animated like he's really scared for a second while the voice barely raises up, it was fucking JARRING.

The seething over King's handicap and the losing streak were fine, though.

What really concerns me is how they're going to adapt season 3. If it ends with Saitam vs Garou, it's going to be 2 episodes of build up to the invasion, and then 10 - 11 episodes of fighting. If it ends with Tatsumaki vs Saitama, they'll have to condense a bit of chapter 94 (though that's for the best), but it'll be more than just one extra-length extended fight scene, which will be likely to bore many watchers who came for the comedy instead.

Plus, if it ends with Tatsumaki vs Saitama, the post credits scene could be Atomic Samurai, Slicing Shemale, Bushidrill, and Iaian vs King

I already didn't expect much when JC staff was announced. Most who expected a lot were the anime onlys who don't much about JC or the fact it wasn't just a bad staff and studio but pre production problems caused the anime to be barely tolerable as well.

As far as the potential S3 goes, it would be beyond retarded to push past the MA arc when you're only working with 12 or 13 episodes. It would be screenwriting suicide. It would be absolutely terrible for the pacing. S3 would crash and burn if they did that, it'd require cutting a good third AT THE VERY LEAST out of the MA arc.

Even if Planet OPM is smaller than real world Earth, that's still a massive fucking continent for a civilisation that consists of 26 cities.

I think the perfect scene to end season 3 past MA would be Garou sitting underneath a waterfall and then maybe a vague hint towards Neo heroes and/or a short narration regarding the aftermath of the MA fight

But it seems like humanity is only the size of Japan's population, on a continent that's at least as big as Antarctica. That's potentially like 5000 kilometers from one city to another.

I doubt it, and we've seen that for one thing: Saitama grew up in a more rural area and that there are still large farms and villages outside of those big cities
each city might be the size of Tokyo itself with just as many people if not more

we have like 114 000 000 people
which seems a ridiculously small number when you put it up against the actual world population and consider that the giant continent takes up nearly a whole side of the planet

We do know the cities are big where 300 something low hero's can't protect it all. Its probably a combo of large and smaller ones(still relatively bigger than normal cities added with the outskirts to give it its size.

Boros and AG being on the same level comes from ONE, and based on what happened on the webcomic, the 1st form could move faster than Flash, was stronger than Darkshine, could block Atomic Samurai slash, and had a special fighting style that was a blend of all the others that he seen with some of his own things.

One said of boros and awakened fight it would be a hell of a fight. But Garou would be superior to him in close combat. Otherwise he said no winner but they are basically compared about the same level. As the other user said he has a style he created himself that is a culmination of all the martial arts he absorbed from every dojo he encountered. He fights saitama and was able to dodge some of his punches.

You can't keep escalating things forever.
Season 1 had an emphasis on power and ended with a fight that involved people being punched to another celestial body.
You don't want this show to turn into DBZ.

Season 2's arc was clearly a deliberate step back into lowered stakes. By re-pitching things with more of a serene and thoughtful de-escalation rather than dragon chasing, the next arc can work back up again from a cleaner slate.
It's fucking sad that so many of you dumbskulls can't recognise these intentional narrative decisions for what they are. You can moan about Saitama and Flatnado being used sparingly, but you can't connect the dots to guess that this might not have been fucking accidental?

Animation quality criticisms are fair game but I'm too jaded to give a fuck anymore.

No one is complaint about different story elements not on saitama or being flashy except anime onlys and people complaining about filler. The anime didn't even present the new story elements right as they rushed through plot elements or skipped and cut parts entirely especially with certain dialogue at times. Or they spend way yo much time on moments that would barely be a minute.

Plus not just animation, sound seeing and art did as well.

Monsters like D-OS and Devil Long Hair seemed to be demon level not based on physical power alone but on their gimmicks.

More than likely. They defeated a few monsters before G5 showed up plus these were new suits. Do-s only gimmick is that she can control others without at she's nothing special. Hell Fubuki could have beaten her if she didn't focus on defending against her comrades and not hurting them.

I like this one. Also a comedy aspect of King being forced to never retire the "strongest man" persona around others because Tats respects his strength and resolve too much. They only unlocked the suits' potential because of Do-S mind controlling them. They would have just had the standard form if they didn't get mind controlled by her, but she's still weak as fuck so they'd still win.

Definitely the latter, she brought out some sort of latent potential or something like that. If the squad could have utilised those stronger forms before the mind control they would have done so before getting caught, but they were also huge pussies so idk.
