Naruto didn't cry like a bitch every 5 seconds and pushed his rival's shit in. So its obvious that he's the better MC.

Do you like capeshit Naruto? Because Deku is what you get when you mash up your typical bland self-insert harem mc with Naruto, a very contrived character whose motivations and actions are based on what's most convenient for the harem trope or Naruto scene the author wants to follow. He doesn't have much self-confidence but still thinks he should be the next All might. He's shy and supposedly analytical but still impulsively charges straight into situations like he's Naruto. He gets picked on by Bakugou but still treats him like Naruto treats Sasuke, as his gay lover. All bnha is, is a shitty cash grab to appeal to low iq retards with shit pattern recognition by straight up ripping off things that were COOL in Naruto and building the story around those cool things. That's why most of the other parts of the story are filled with ANIME tropes and cliches.

Take Kouta who's similar to Inari from Naruto in that both of their parents were killed from trying to be heroes, with both now resenting the act of trying to be a hero thinking it's dumb because it took their loved ones away from them for no reason. Except that in the bnha world you literally get paid for being a hero along with plenty of other benefits, so it's not like they're doing it for free. Unlike in Naruto where it was just one man going up against a much larger force because he was trying to inspire people to stand up for themselves.

So when Horikoshi took Inari's story and tried to insert it in bnha, the context no longer makes sense and Kouta's view point on heroes just comes off as retarded.

Attached: 1531265714206.jpg (1200x986, 113K)

Both are losers who had hax powers handed to them, but at least Naruto wasn't a bitch, and (mostly) didn't take people's shit lying down

Deku pretty much got his whole looking up to Bakugo shit from Naruto who did the same with Sasuke. But of course the circumstances in BnHA make it way more retarded cause they were never friends, Horikoshi was just mindlessly copying Naruto's script, Naruto at least had the awareness to call himself stupid for thinking of Sasuke as a friend when Sasuke tried to beat the shit out of him.

>Naruto didn't cry like a bitch every 5 seconds
yes he did you literal nigger, it was one of the most common criticism about his character especiallly in part 2, how much he cried

deku is a boring cuck but naruto is an absolutely obnoxious and insufferably retarded joke of a mc who literally hyperventilated like a hysterical woman because the life of his buttbuddy was threatened, he also thought a girl confessing her feelings to him was similar to his love for ramen, he's by far the worst written shonen mc ever and that's not even close

Naruto actually had to train

Naruto actually did shit and it took some time for the story to contradict the original themes, unlike heroaca

Deku had everything handed to him, so clearly this makes him a better wish fulfillment character.

Like, you watch this as you are imagining that a super hero comes up to you and gives you ultimate power for no reason.

Naruto is actually likable and hard working

Deku is a crybaby faggot who worships his bully and gets power handed to him

Despite being sensitive on the inside like Deku, Naruto actually takes people shit on the chin, even if he embarasses himself in front of his peers he still keeps at it.

Naruto cries like 4 times over the course of the original series

This. He suffers on the inside throughout his entire childhood but still gets back up inside of constantly crying. He's an infinitely more likeable protagonist. I'm amazed so many people like MHA

Also hax powers doesn't matter that much in Naruto since his actual goal is to be recognized by others. While Deku's goal is just to be the strongest

Herofags are bullied crybabies so they find Deku relatable

Naruto by a country mile

it makes sense when you see naruto getting the shit beat out of him and still standing, they make a point very early on (and often) that he's persistent in his training and beliefs.

i could sort of buy deku powering through his broken arms and fingers up until this fight, i can't buy that deku is this strong a person deep down

Attached: 1538881384786.jpg (1280x720, 84K)

I wont debate which is better written
But I like Deku more. Naruto was a hyper, dumb attention whore. The worst sort of attention whore. And the running jokes about Naruto being dumb stopped really being a joke and just became a fact of life that somehow, some way, this hypertard of a ninja makes it work despite having the brain capacity of a 9 year old who just discovered soda- and its the kind with caffeine too.

Izuku is a whiner and a cry baby. That is annoying early on but he never comes off as stupid. Just irritatingly passive in that generic anime character way that you know in real life someone like that eventually loses their shit over something and finally figures out that its okay to get mad. sometimes people dont give a shit what you have to say until you get mad, simply because they genuinely believe you cant be that invested in it if you cant get mad about it.

But Izuku at least seems to be getting over his most annoying habit. Nardo is still a tardo tho

And Sasuke never targeted Naruto personally like Baku did to Deku
Sasuke saw him as annoying but at least early on shown that he sympathized with his suffering as shown when he looked like he wanted to kill Sakura for making fun of Naruto for being an orphan

Baku never shown that he would give a shit about Deku, he personally targets him for something that happened years ago, he never apologized for what happened and likely never will , he probably still blames Deku for everything

naruto isn't anything like that in the end though

Naruto was a attention whore because he had no family and friends. Everyone in Konoha was just ignoring him. Even if it's by being a annoying prick, he wanted to be recognized.

There's literally no good reason why Deku is a crybaby. He had no powers but if he really wants to help others he could be a cop. He was bullied by Bakugo but it wasn't because he's quirkless, it was because he's a fucking stalker who won't leave Bakugo alone.

>Obito is the coolest guy
Well yeah

has nothing to do with what you said

In Naruto:
>The villagers are idiots for treating Naruto that way and it could have backfired badly on them if he ended up like Gaara and started killing anyone who looks at him the wrong way, and he proved them all wrong by ending up being the hokage despite what's inside of him

In BNHA:
>Lol Deku deserved to be treated that way for being born quirkless , only reason why he stopped being treated badly is because he stopped being quirkless proving everyone right that quirkless people are useless scum

Basically in Naruto it's about proving prejudiced cunts wrong, in BNHA it's about conforming to avoid being treated like shit

What do people defend BNHA again?

Not too mention the reason why Deku is so obsessed with Bakugo is literally just because he has a cool quirk

Stop trying to stir up your tier serieswar autism you retard.

he wasn't being bullied because he's quirkless though, he was being bullied by Bakugo because he's a psycho obsessed with Bakugo. Also being quirkless isn't that important considering most people have completely useless quirks and you can't even use them if you're not a hero.

Wrong on both accounts dumbass

youtube.com/watch?v=v2tkz92eG_E

Early Naruto was more endearing since he was a dumb but charismatic underdog. Once he becomes ninja Jesus and the world bends to his retarded will he becomes insufferable.

Deku is all around insipid, just an MC to have the plot moving forward.

Early Naruto > Deku > Ninja Jesus Naruto.

Naruto actually matured

>he wasn't being bullied because he's quirkless though, he was being bullied by Bakugo because he's a psycho obsessed with Bakugo
It was because he was both, he's a psycho who leave Bakugou alone and the nigger see everyone as below him, especially the quirkless. If Deku would just leave him alone this whole forced rivalry drama shit can be avoided.

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal user can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Yea Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

>Not using Ninjesus
Opinion: Disregarded

*who won't leave

How many times are you going to force this bullshit?

Plague is a fucking idiot because the series isn't about "nobodies can beat geniuses with hard work", that's just Lee's arc and he failed. Naruto was never a talentless nobody, we knew he was strong and special. Naruto's arc has nothing to do with hard training and talent. He only kept saying "I'll become the Hokage" to get attention. His arc is about being acknowledge by people around him

>nobodies can beat geniuses with hard work
>Naruto was never a talentless nobody,
>Naruto's arc has nothing to do with hard training and talent

Attached: 1555605904137.png (290x550, 320K)

>So when Horikoshi took Inari's story and tried to insert it in bnha, the context no longer makes sense and Kouta's view point on heroes just comes off as retarded.
This is definitely a problem with BNHA.

Take Aizawa for example, why is he introduced as the teacher with the highest expulsion rate?

Because Kakashi did it.

Attached: Aizawa.png (450x305, 29K)

Naruto had no fucking talent, was a dropout and needed help with everything. His arc was all about being a nobody who rose to become acknowledge for his feats as a ninja. Part I hammers home thiis plain as day which is the basis of Naruto and Sasuke's entire rivalry because when Naruto actually caught up with him he got butthurt enough to leave the village.

Imagine being retarded enough to respond with a copypasta using another copypasta

You know this makes a better argument as to why Naruto is a poorly written character or at least a victim of bad writing than anything said about Deku in this thread.

Naruto by a mile and I don't know how is that even a question
Naruto actually had a character arc. Deku is barely a character and literally has nothing to himself other than"i need to become stronger" and having poorly handled insecurity issues(which was already done with Naruto and infinitely better). With Naruto, we know exactly why does he act the way he does. With Deku? "Well, hes just a normal kid". Being "normal" is ok, but it makes for a bad protagonist

>His arc was all about being a nobody
>has literal infinite chakra demon inside him
>learns a forbidden jutsu only he can do in the first chapter
that's not how it works

>((((damage control spic))))) is here

they establish in the zabuza arc that naruto has the most potential of all due to his chakra, even more than sasuke (kakashi says it during the tree walking training)

Naruto is more of a bad writing victim(just like everyone else towards the end), but definitely not poorly written

>e-celeb
>retarded
What else is new

>has literal infinite chakra demon inside him
And?

No he is poorly written.
That's literally what the manga says dipshit

Attached: 1436140878863.gif (320x228, 1.78M)

>has literal infinite chakra demon inside him
Yet he still flunked the academia and was behind the bulk of his classmates.

Naruto is a social underdog.
The thing is that even this whole strength measuring stick always boils down to relationships between people. Literally everything in Naruto boils down to that.
Even as for the example you did, Sasuke explained in one of his inner monologues towards the end that he just wanted to go in one line with Naruto and was afraid that he becomes so strong because Naruto would turn his back on him and leave him alone just like Itachi did

Because anyone who isn't a mindless hater realizes that Naruto is poorly written but we can't acknowledge MHA as being better at anything so we need to keep up the charade.

>I have no argument
Fuck off Yea Forumsmblr

Amazing arguments right here, baiter-kun

>Naruto is a social underdog.
And this isn't true at all since Naruto's secret ability was that he was able to get close to people (straight from the fucking manga too)

>Sasuke explained in one of his inner monologues towards the end that he just wanted to go in one line with Naruto and was afraid that he becomes so strong because Naruto would turn his back on him and leave him alone just like Itachi did
This is wrong too. Sasuke was jealous of Naruto's strength.

>Please take my bait

Pathetic

>Deku had everything handed to him, so clearly this makes him a better wish fulfillment character.
Everything Deku had to work for and nearly got himself killed to achieved compared to Naruto who was born with everything and had a predetermined destiny from the beginning.

Because he doesn't actually care about being Hokage, he just says that to get people's attention. As I've said, Naruto's story isn't about an underdog training to become the strongest. It's about getting acknowledged by others, and he did that at the end of Pain arc. Training and fate has nothing to do with Naruto's arc

the destiny was wrong though, as sasuke and naruto aren't fighting anymore.

>As I've said, Naruto's story isn't about an underdog training to become the strongest.
Tell that to Kishi

>Everything I don't like is bait
Someone call the wambulance for this crying autist

Don't bother, this retard won't even try to listen

>the destiny was wrong though,
No it wasn't
>Because he doesn't actually care about being Hokage
Of course he does. Being Hokage means eveyone in teh village respects you and that's why he wanted the position if that's all he wanted he would have stopped his pursuit after the Pain arc.

>Training and fate has nothing to do with Naruto's arc
It has everything to do with his arc

>this hypertard of a ninja makes it work despite having the brain capacity of a 9 year old who just discovered soda- and its the kind with caffeine too.
Yet as a 12 year old he did a strategy that outsmarted a trained adult while 15 year old study nerd Deku beat Bakugo only because Bakugo had a retard rage nerf put on him
But yes, NARUTO is the idiot. Not 'I CAN KICK!?' Deku

>no argument

Figures

>No it wasn't
It was though, the story proves it.

>act like a reckless retard
>it all works out thanks to hurr askhully I was just fakin' it. I can just conveniently pull more power out of my ass whenever I feel like it.
>gets handed most op quirk afterwards

Naruto is never the underdog though. He's stupid and lazy but starting from the Zabuza arc, he was at the same level as Sasuke, the number one rookie.

What the fuck are you talking about? At least try to make sense.

It wasn't. The story proves it.

So you don't read the manga at all.

>Naruto is never the underdog though
Keep saying that. Maybe it'll be true someday.

>No it wasn't
>It has everything to do with his arc
Why do I have a feeling that you are that one guy that uses "Wrong again, dumbass"? Literally the same level of argumentation
Also imagine not understanding why did Naruto's goal change after Pain's arc

>he was at the same level as Sasuke, the number one rookie.
He was so retarded he couldn't do a simple clone jutsu and failed his classes because he was actually dumb

You are being a stubborn idiot, their destiny was literally wrong in the end, it was meaningless.

>Also imagine not understanding why did Naruto's goal change after Pain's arc
His goal never changed you fucking liar.

Naruto had it 100x worst and didn't cry like bitch every other moment.

>their destiny was literally wrong in the end,
But it wasn't.

It helps that I now enough about Naruto to see which posters are bullshitting and which ones are not.

Fuck off with your retarded non-arguments already ESL

>t. brainlet
have you actually read the manga? What do you think the whole thing about "the cycle of hatred" was? Herofags are truly retarded

>Naruto had it 100x worst
Yeah being the child of prophency and having the ultimate power at a young age

Really? I don't see part 1 Naruto screaming something about creating a world peace, and you just keep exposing yourself as a very annoying baiter

You didn't post one to begin with moron, you drag every conversation down to retardation levels with your stupidity.

>i've watched a shitty e-celeb video
>which means i know what i'm talking about

>inb4 "No i don't" is the answer

and then he learned a secret forbidden jutsu in a day because he actually tried to do it

>O MUH 7 QUIRKS
Naruto was 15 when he heard about prophecies and being the one. In the Naruto world being the one wasn't exclusive to Naruto. Jiraiya thought Nagato was the one too.

Everyone is retarded in Naruto. Guessing that Hidan was standing in his circle had something to do with his jutsu was enough to crownn Shikamaru as a supergenius.

>GREEN BOY BAD
>ORANGE MAN GOOD

Is the extend of your argument

2bh it kinda ended up working for both. I think it was just kinda all about Jiraiya's choice more than birth factor. Poor Minato never had a chance

I've been reading Naruto since before you were born bitch
Which is just bad writing
>7

You can't even spout memes right

you are pathetic

>O MUH 7 QUIRKS
>7
Also had nothing to do with prophency shit or Deku being special. Try again

>Naruto was 15 when he heard about prophecies and being the one
And?

>In the Naruto world being the one wasn't exclusive to Naruto. Jiraiya thought Nagato was the one too.
Wrong

Unironicaly

Attached: IMG_20190407_131518.jpg (3000x2834, 743K)

Don't bother. He already got exposed with not even reading this manga by stating that Naruto's goal hasn't changed and being too afraid to answer people calling him out on that

I don't care about memes from animes I don't even watch.

At least we can all agree on Boruto being a worse MC than both Naruto and Deku

Most british people were peasants who according so some Indian traveler lived even worst than most Indians during the early 1900's, that didn't stop them from thinking they are some kind of a master race because their elite was controlling a lot of the world

At least Boruto is smart.

It's not bad writing. He didn't even know the hand seals because he just didn't care about being strong. At first he was just yelling "I'll be the Hokage" to get attention

Having obscene luck and getting handed everything because the plot is sucking your cock at every turn is more than enough for someone to be specia
>And
>Wrong
Could MHAfags be any more braindead.

Wrong faggot
He's literally subverting shonen with his character arc.

Not him, but that kinda describes both Deku and Naruto

>Having obscene luck and getting handed everything because the plot is sucking your cock at every turn is more than enough for someone to be specia
No that's you being retarded all the more ironic that you're defending someone born with everything set out for him.

Nope just Naruto.

>subverting shonen
Did I just sense...a secret hunterfag?

>No that's you being retarded
>Hurr I"m a dumb bnhaspic and have no arguments
>N-No u
You are seriously a garbage poster

Ouch! How will I ever recover?

Why did Americans love Naruto so much?

One would think One Piece is more to their tastes given how much western influence it has

Nah boruto is a better MC than deku

One piece is igly as fuck. Both character design and the powers in general.

Deku was handed 7 quirks in a world where just 1 quirk sets you for life.

Deku might of been given the greatest super power, but he wasn't destined to be the reincarnation of one of the greatest ninjas in history

No quad sama

By the time Naruto came out, I considered it to be like Pokemon, a cartoon for young kids. I never fucking watched it. It amazes me how big of a deal it was.

Attached: blackheaven1.jpg (512x384, 21K)

OP has unappealing art.

Not America, the West in general
Maybe it's because OP dub was garbage, idk
The world of Naruto simply looks more tempting for kids. Everyone wants a cool headband

I blame 4kids

You can really see how much that breaks the whole idea of quirk=personality that was there from the beginning

being the reincarnation literally doesn't give you any special powers. Actually read the manga before spamming this shit. Also the reincarnations of the sons are destined to fight and kill each other but Naruto and Sasuke didn't do that so the destiny is wrong

If you had a choice, would you rather watch Naruto(part 1) with modern artstyle and character design, better animation BUT! at the cost of soundtracks or have it be the same?

>modern artstyle
Read the manga you mong.

>modern artstyle and character design
why would I want that

>destiny is wrong
You mean destiny is not always right because Neji was right.

the only thing i'd like is for them to redo the pain fight and maybe the naruto v neji fight (the animation is pretty shit in that)

>modern artstyle
That applies to something like Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin not Naruto.

OP had the worst dealt hand it could possibly have.
>Was given to 4Kids who didn't want it and believe anime is for kids harder than Yea Forums.
>Then was given to Funimation who for some reason accepted dubbing the FILLER ARCS, and started airing SKYPEIA when the anime in Japan was starting post time skip
>Then Toonami takes it, airs it on graveyard hours.
>Again this included the fillers
>Then made worse by the fact that when OP hit that point in Enies Lobby where they go from the crew Crossing into the tower and recap filler (which alone is enough to make someone drop the series as it's a month of non plot progression) DeMarco decided to air a month of anime movies because it was the Holidays and nobody would focus on Toonami
>Thus shocklingly OP drops even further because two months the plot had not progressed
>Then got dumped because nobody is going to wait weekly to watch one episode of a 5+ year old arc in a Kai era Funi dub

>surf no jutsu
What were they thinking?

*Then got dumped because nobody is going to wait weekly to watch one episode of a 5+ year old arc in a Kai era Funi dub at 12:30 at night

The ending of the episode, where Naruto almost frees Kurama, was so well done, but can't enjoy it as much simply because of the madness that was happening before

Naruto.

Kishimoto's only problem as a writer was his inability to handle the scale of the story he committed himself to, and that story was good. Horikishi's writing is all over the fucking place and literally every event is some sort of COOL QUIRK BATTLE or a single chapter of someone remembering something in order to provide cheap, last-minute character development to provide stakes for the relentless stream of cool quirk battles. Todoroki has a stake in this sports tournament? Great, give him a few pages of remembering why he has a scar on his face and arguing with his dad to set up his cool quirk battle. Hero class? It's a cool quirk battle. But wait - the villains show up, it's a cool quirk battle with STAKES. There's a culture festival? Better have all that shit happen offscreen so Deku can have a cool quirk battle to stop some youtubers from ruining the culture festival. Training camp? Surprise, surprise, another cool quirk battle - this time with extra STAKES (the villains show up.) Oh shit, we have to rescue Bakugou? Time for a cool quirk battle, only let Deku remind everyone they'll have to account for the fact Bakugou hates him for 1 page.

That kind of bullshit - a constant series of duels or battles - is something a writer like FKMT can pull off because he's capable of writing characters with personalities and making the stakes legitimately interesting, he's written a shitload of manga and can more or less adjust the scale to the story he feels like telling, and he genuinely has a grasp on human psychology. Horikishi cannot. Kishimoto was smart enough to make the setting a fictional universe, which allowed him to expand on the worldbuilding as he went along, but Horikishi went for "our world but with superpowers!" and he's seriously struggling with the setting he chose, making any of the struggles his characters face seem meaningful, and overall narrative pacing is shit because he's bitten off more than he can chew as a creator.

contd

I would genuinely like to believe that at some point, BNHA will "get good", but I'm not holding my fucking breath. Horikishi has just barely started to expand his narrative skillset with the current villain POV Cool Quirk Battle arc, and he MIGHT develop more skill or flourish with a more competent editor, but as it stands he's still fucking up way more than Kishimoto ever did. I like Deku. I'm fond of some of the supporting cast. I'd like it a lot more if they were anywhere near "well-written".

* Horikoshi. damn I got mad

>Americans
Naruto is the most popular anime in my Eastern European shithole too. First watched both of them at the age of 10 and One Piss was always boring for me as a kid.

So Hori's main problem is his inability to remain the tone and build up consistent and to make the story linear? Because his characters barely have what it takes to move the story forward?

It's his first series longer than a one-shot, basically, so he's approaching it like "stacking a bunch of one-shots together" and then trying to build a larger story out of it. I honestly think he's insecure about his ability to make anything interesting if it isn't a battle scene. He's pretty fucking good at those - the Endeavor vs Noumu fight was great, a lot of the team vs team "class exercises" were interesting and fun, the Mirio-loses-his-quirk-and-gains-a-loli - I mean "work internship" arc was really solid, too. But they don't particularly work as a single continuous narrative. Nobody really shows any growth or character outside of literal battles, which have their own peaks and climactic moments but don't do much to sell you on the idea that those characters exist and have lives outside of pivotal moments in battles that only "matter" because of what we're told upfront. Nobody needed Naruto to take a page and a half to explain what his motives were when he bludgeoned some perspective into Gaara. You already knew exactly why he was doing it, why it was painful for him to watch, and why he was desperate to convince Gaara that being a chakra demon container didn't make you a monster. Gaara's fight with Lee in the Chuunin exams and the attitude his own siblings took with him weren't just "hey, this character had a fucked up childhood!" - his character design, the way he behaves during the match, and the fact that he sincerely wanted to kill Lee already told you half the story, and the flashback provided context to what you'd already figured out and clues about how he'd behave later on in the story.

Basically, I'm hoping Horikoshi has now started to write a bit better during the whole Shiggy versus cult town arc, and I think if he improves he might be able to tie everything together in a satisfying narrative by building on what he's already done and making it matter. As it is, to me it really seems like Junior's First Writing Project.
