Most of her parts are boring in F/ha. A lot of it's slice of life, but hers are full throttle. The conversations are mostly just "normal" everyday things like school or cooking, or basic flirting.

In fact, out of the few scenes Shinji has in F/ha, only one is with Sakura, and that's a gag scene where they break into her room, read her diary and she goes full Dark Sakura to punish them. Considering this is a post-UBW Shinji (the only route he survives in) where he becomes a better person than he was in F/sn, I kinda wanted to see how the New and Improved Shinji interacts with Sakura.

I liked final waterpark scene for that reason, because it at least showed Sakura acting smug around others before being btfo by Leysritt, not focused solely on Shirou.

F:HA isn't just just post UBW route, its post all routes in a sort of amalgam of best scenarios you could get since everyone survives except for Kotomine that by what it's stated no matter the outcome he would never survive the 5th war.

But I think the problem is that her whole world is "Senpai" and as long as Shirou is present you won't see any more part of her, probably the only time we see another part of her is precisely at the end of UBW when Shirou is now with Rin and she lost her place next to him so she goes to Shinji that also improved his behavior and even that is very brief. Even Rider all stuff in HA is suppressing her feeling for Shirou so Sakura can be with her.

Once it becomes a reoccurring thing it stops being rape and becomes her being too much of a wuss to stop it.

We see her sweeping the entrance to the temple, we see her shopping in the shopping district, we see her buying stuff for her hobby. Look at Lancer. We see him fishing at the docks, doing all sorts of part-time jobs and hitting on girls. Even Archer rescues a cat. But Sakura? Sakura does the same things she always does. We almost never see her in different elements. We're rarely exposed to a different side to her. We don't see her indulge in new experiences or speak with friends at school.

Also, Sakura wasn't sniffing his shirt, she hugged it, as she was fixing it, its not like Rin wouldn't hug his shirt while giggling like a schoolgirl, she would just fly off the handle about it before apologizing.

Not one character ever says something like, "it's not your fault." Not even Shirou says that to her. The whole route is about accepting that sometimes the person you love can be a shit, not some great person, but an envious, possessive, clingly, needy, and vindictive bitch. And understanding that you still love them in spite of that, and that you will accept and protect them from even the consequences of their own mistakes. Even if it means dying. Both Rin and Shirou make that choice. That is the crux of the route.

Shirou’s relationship with Sakura is not shown. They spend the first 1/3rd of the route doing nothing but having them spend time with eachother. The affection was never developed, it was just told as something that had always been there. We never got to see what resulted in it. We never got to hear what events led to him feeling this way about her. All we got was that he felt homely around her.
He never directly confronts the consequences of his actions. We are shown them through the perspective of other characters, he is told them by other characters, but he never has to face the victims or anyone related to them because of his actions, because it would break the entire "hero" illusion that is brought up by him giving up everything for her, because in reality it's a completely fucking unjustified mess dependant on the worst written relationship in the entire franchise. She is an objectified character because this whole narrative only holds up as long as she is viewed as nothing more than an object who can only be saved by the love of someone else.
Anyone trying to act like the shit in HF was Shirou "confronting" his ideals is fucking lying to themselves in the worst possible way. He throws them away for the sake of the reader with the justification of the "love" that's so badly written that the VN itself can't even give real fucking reasons or events that would lead to it, despite it being the crux of the entire story and this implied "development".
HF is a case of character regression and nothing more. It's a piece of shit route that's made for the worst possible self-insert faggots who wants to view the heroine as nothing more than a damsel in distress who needs all of their love and attention and believes that the world can revolve around them without issue. There is no loving relationship, there is no support between the two that makes them grow as people, it's plain garbage.

HF Shirou is the worst shit. Abandoning his ideals is essentially his way of throwing away everything that made him as a character, and while that could potentially make for a good story, HF was everything but that because of Sakura being written so inconsistently that Nasu had to outright retcon expository dialogue as being "lies" to have her come across as remotely sympathetic.
The fact that his relationship with Sakura is 100% telling instead of showing makes it even weaker, since we're essentially made to believe that their bond was immensly strong without anything pointing towards it. Rin at least had her actual developing romance with Shirou be a core part of the story, something that we saw progress and actually happen. With Sakura, it's only implied, and they place much more weight on those actions to the point where it just becomes absurd. HF Shirou is the worst type of self-insert because it basically abandons the character itself for the purpose of making the reader treat the heroine as an object of affection rather than an actual character. They'll say that throwing away his ideals makes sense because doing something like that for someone you love is 100% natural, but they won't even stop to think about the consequence of said actions just because the character himself is never made to confront it in anything but thought.

To fix this, throughout history there are set events which are used as the "base". Important events that either control or boost the advancement of mankind. If mankind advances too quickly or not fast enough, that world line is purged. Mankind advances at a highly controlled rate to ensure it does not stagnate nor skyrocket. At turning points in human history, the world selects a couple lines, the lines with the perfect balance of suffering and happiness with only minute changes between them. Every other line is purged, and the split begins anew from those chosen world lines. Nothing can alter the events that happened before that "point" as it will simply be reset to the backup of the "perfect" state. That is the "quantum time lock".

Effectively, if Saber used the grail to successfully return to her time and prevent herself from drawing Excalibur, her world line will have a limited life span, for the fall of Camelot is a important time in the worlds history, and it will be erased very shortly after changing it and history will revert using the "base" world line so nothing that was changed will effect the future.

Sakura has a bad habit of blaming herself for the faults of others and putting their happiness over her own, but simultaneously, if she's offered hope and happiness, she won't allow anyone to get in the way of it no matter what, as the two things she won't stand for are having the rug pulled out from under her and losing those she cares for. If she's somehow angered, Sakura's rage is cold and calculating, to the point of almost seeming gentle despite its ruthlessness. Even when not angry, Sakura sometimes displays gentle snark and teasing, similar to Tohsaka, but done in a more kind-hearted way.

The moment she accepts that she's not just a victim but the one of the monsters that hopeful side just crumbles and she rejects her own chance at happiness and curses her abjectness. But in HF the hope doesn't stop being fueled, and so she falls back on her victimhood for as long as she can and possessively latches onto Shirou as her anchor. The breaking point comes when she sees that she's the one corrupting and breaking him - it's not him saving her against all odds like she dreamed or at the very least mercy killing her - so she stops being the victim and becomes the perpetrator.

I must confess: I judged, criticized, and dismissed Sakura as a character before reading her story in the VN. Now having read the VN, as a dedicated Saberfag, and having considered Sakura previously to be the "worst girl", I can tell you that Sakura is a much better character in the limelight than out of it. If Saber didn't get killed off early on she would have stolen the spotlight like she tends to do, so in a way I think having her removed from the story allows Sakura to actually shine. Out of the three girls Sakura is easily the most human of them. Now and forever I will always love and cherish my King. But I still must say:

I misjudged you and your heroine.
Sakura is not the worst girl.
