Yes, I can't really fault it for anything before Rukia is taken. It's not overly ambitious but not complicated either.

I think things are still decently written well here, the twist with Aizen legitimately took me off guard. The only poor writing I would say would be the totally unnecessary time-dilation nonsense that served no purpose, and Ichigo defeating Kepnachi / getting Bankai so damn quickly was the first real ass-pull of the series. Still not bad though.

This is where I'd say shit starts getting unnecessarily convoluted, culminating in three more ass-pull power-ups for Ichigo and making the overall story of Bleach much more incomprehensible with the sudden reveal his dad was also a Soul Reaper, the constantly changing rules of the Hogyuoku and constantly fluxing power-levels.

No. As a whole it started strong but after the Soul Society arc Kubo ran out of ideas.
His ability to create appealing aesthetics is top tier but his plot skills are weak.
