You thought anime adaptations turning fanbases into cancer was a meme?
It’s because post All-Star Battle and the first adaptation, people sped through translations regardless of quality to get caught up, and several subtleties and themes got mangled. With duwang it made sense, and people didn’t read too deeply into it, but when Part 5 and 6 discuss fate, translations tend to skimp out here and there. That, combined with people who rely on a wiki that is poorly managed and full of assumptions, leads to people not getting anything. Furthermore, reading a manga via volumes as opposed to in the original magazines means that pacing will be a different thing, especially for speed readers.

I don't think you remember how bad Part 5 scans/translations were
Blame DP for being the greatest anime studio ever.
this, king crimson was memed so hard because the translation was shit and nobody understood it
Part 5 was always the best part, just took a good version of it and a lot of people to see it as the standard to see it as araki peaking in every aspect
>as araki peaking in every aspect
Awful MC.
Absolutely shit final fight.
Yeah, peaking.
> doesn't appreciate giorno as the mix of jonathan's great aspects and DIO's worsts
> doesn't appreciate the thematic conclusion of GER
