K-On was fun to talk about because it was a good show and it made so many people mad that we were enjoying it.

I recently tried to watch it to learn japanese, but I just can't get warm with it. I hate most of the keys and don't find them the least cute. And their music is absolute garbage and I hate that their such filthy normiefags. No offence if this appeals to you, but this is literally made for Spice Girls and Britney Spears fans.
I'm currently watching Kiniro Mosaic and like it a lot, so it's not just that I can't into moe. I simply hate idol shit.
That's exactly how the whole pony thing started too.
>this is literally made for Spice Girls and Britney Spears fans.
I don't think I've ever experienced someone more disconnected reality than this.
But it's popular and it's cool not to like popular things.
K-On hasn't aged very well. When I watch the show I think "ew, how did we enjoy this art style back then?"
what? It's complete soulless pop trash with underage girls. What would you compare this too? To be fair I hate all japanese bands I heard so far, except for this: youtube.com
Still aged much better than Haruhi though. That shit looks like an early 2000s VN adaption.
Horiguchi is timeless you pleb
>unironically listening to metal
jesus, no wonder you're retarded.
It was alright my two biggest gripes were that the characters had a really bad case of same face, comb Ritsu's hair different and you've got Yui's twin.
The other thing was the disconnect between the opening and closing scenes I was expecting them to go on and make a band after they got out of school and that never happened so it was a let down.
>I was expecting them to go on and make a band after they got out of school and that never happened so it was a let down.
you kind of missed the point
you mean the point that their music was complete shit and no ones wanted to listen to them?
the point that they enjoyed slacking off more than playing music most of the time
Why is Azusa so sexy?
Yea I know but I watched most all of it and was waiting for something to happen and it didn't,honestly I never finished it because of that, just got boring.
What a fag.
K-On's character designs are classic, like a precursor to today's more rounded styles while still being distinct from them. Doesn't look modern but doesn't look old, either.
>girls claim to worship Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page
>still make forgettable J-Pop
truly encapsulates the spirit of Nippon
>he didn't listen to the official albums
You're watching K-On! for the music and for the moe. The two aspects which are not important to the show.
K-On! is about growing together and improving thanks to the people around you.
Furthermore, I don't have anything against KinMoza, but if you think that it was made with nearly the same amount of love, passion and care as K-On!, then you don't have a pair of working eyes.
I too think their music is nothing exceptional (still more interesting than what you hear in 90% of other anime), but it has soul, you see the thoughts and the feelings of the character that were put into those songs and how they reflect the various events in the series.
K-On! is the single most overrated anime in history, the only reason it's so popular is it was massively promoted by Disney and it's lots of people's introduction to the genre
>K-On! is the single most overrated anime in history
lots of people hate it, what are you on?
K-On! is one of the best anime ever made, it wasn't my introduction to the genre (whatever "genre" may mean) and it still holds up after every rewatch.
Ritsu was my favorite character, also really liked Yui and Azu-nyan
