I have no idea, Rolling Stone was fucking stupid and I really wish the Anime had placed it earlier even if it would go against Araki's original work. Putting a weird prologue starring somebody who isn't even the main character after the final battle makes no sense.

Main issue is them losing their time slot. Made it seem anti climactic as fuck. If things had just gone normally and we had the two episodes a week apart i think it would have been okay. Also ending the third from last episode on Giorno winning was a retarded move.

It doesn't really have to do a lot with planning user. Recaps are there since these episodes are still weekly broadcasted on Television. DP expects you to still watch this on regular TV. With this schedule ofc some people would miss some episodes here and there, hence why there's Recaps. Do I agree with this broadcasting structure? Nope.

It was actually a few pages showing what's going to happen in the future, not a flashback.
