What anime, regardless of whether you like it, has your favorite art style?
What anime, regardless of whether you like it, has your favorite art style?
Family guy
That artist tries to be so fucking 2deep5me is not even funny
The Cleveland Show
Uenosan
KLK, but that might be more because of the motion than the keys.
I'd say Dowman if we allow manga and the Bakemono s1 ED
Anything from Trigger
Pic related.
Gurren Lagann
fuck anime
Bleach is the single most beautiful manga
Literal dark souls ripoff
fuckin this
Ghibli is a major contender with either Porco Rosso or Spirited Away or Laputa.
But Haibane Renmei is probably my favorite.
I fucking love that old renaissance painting color palette.
It's so comfy.
impeccable taste.
I've been watching anime for almost 30 years, and I've never seen anything that looks as good as Ping Pong.
The samurai episode of animatrix.
Mononoke (not princess mononoke)
katanagatari
Kiznaiver is really beautiful
I really liked the backgrounds in Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
Gensou Assgar
somewhat boring isekai premise, but just a gorgeous soft aesthetic
Ancient Magus Bride has some really beautiful art and emotional scenes. Overall it teeters from good at times to calm and otherwise average though.
I always thought of katanagatari's background art to be pretty lazy given their release schedule.
Nicely animated though.
Boondocks
I like Ume's art style.
Rayearth. SZS looks great too.
Haibane Renmei is my choice too. I'd give anything to live in Guri and I believe the character designs are some of ABe's best work.
>kubo went back in time to release first
Name 1 (ONE) (x€N, x
Kill La Kill. There's something deeply sexual about it but I can't place what it is.
The Berserk manga looks really good.
Berserk is beautifuly overrated.
Tatatmi/Ringo and Haibane
I like stuff like this.
Lain
I think clannad is the greatest looking anime created so far
FLCL has the coolest style though
Lain looks scuffed
Either Hidamari Sketch or Lucky Star.
I cant remember the name, but it was a 2-5 minute, 12 episode long short series about an OL who would stop at local restaurants and pair food with alcohol. Comfy af.
What a visual feast that was.
I like Shinbou's Shaftshit.
I really enjoyed the soundtrack for this show as well.
This one.
Taku Iwasaki is great, I always recognize him even though he does a large variety of music styles. The art of Katanagatari really grew on me throughout the show, but if I had to choose my favorite, probably one of the ABe + Konaka shows, or perhaps Mushishi.
if they can pull it off it'll be dorohedoro easily
otherwise it's probably houseki no kuni. i'm not a huge fan of the cg animation but the backgrounds are amazing
I'm still blown away at how great Mushishi's second season(s) looked even if they had to delay a few episodes and merge a few into two-parters. IIRC Nagahama and Umakoshi worked fucking hard since their team was much smaller than last time; Nagahama storyboarded/directed 90% of it while Umakoshi was chief AD for every episode, and also key animated/AD'd another 90% of it.
Agreed on the ABe/Konaka shows too. Really love anything with Atelier BWCA/Hidetoshi Kaneko as art director, like Texh.
Kiruminzoo. I can't quite place it but something about how the characters are drawn and coloured makes them look really soft.
Kaiji
fate cooking spinoff
It's just so pleasant
Girls last tour
Weed soup...
People with the finest taste.
Good choice.
I'm a slut for early Gainax. I just love old school, detailed backgrounds.
The witch barriers of Madoka are gorgeous and quite possibly the pinnacle of art in anime.
So does Tkmiz and everyone sucks his microdick like it's candy.
Trigger-style animations got me hook into Anime tbqh.
This
tkmiz art is actually fun to look at though
Not disputing the substance of your claim (i.e. SHAFT makes good shit) but I don't think Nisekoi is Shinbou's (can't remember the name of the true director right now).
kemonozume if you mean anime original
agreed
Kimestu no Yaiba
The ocean-y blue on his sword and the electric hues on that wimp guy that 'suddenly-gets-strong-when-hes-unconsious' , good stuff I'll say
Shinbou barely directs anything himself, he's more of a supervisor. Shaft team has picked up his style and is quite good at imitating it.
Show was aight and the backdrops left a good amount to be desired but I always felt the characters were drawn beautifully
Mononoke
Thats the guy who killed the panda.
Ttgl except ep4
Bwahahahahaha
Posing the manga
/thread
Ping Pong was pretty fucking crazy
lol care to explain?
The furfag admin has that whore as his avatar
Lesson 4, Johnny
I really like anything that isn't just the same disgustingly generic bullshit.
He must have good taste
He's a MLP fan
Eh, I'm not too crazy about the whole "it's all messy and scribbly and you can't tell what's going on half the time but it's technically more skillful than MC Escher trust me I'm an artist" type shit. People say stuff like that about ONE too and I don't buy it, I know he's a lot more skilled than his art immediately implies but he and Tkmiz both aren't automatically better than anyone who gives enough of a damn to refine and clean their shit up.
yikes
Did you not realize all the ponyshit in the website? (Error codes, Hentaiverse minigames etc)
Didn't care for the source material or story, but god was Gankutsuou pretty.
draw backgrounds
Kimetsu no Yaiba's art and animation is actually good.
So true.
Ueno is a cute. A CUTE!
for what purpose
agreed
>those beautiful eyes of every main character
Monogatari Series and Violet Evergarden, there are better artists, but both those bring me joy, as different as they are
work under the stress of your series losing popularity
really though what can’t he do, the art work for the new Sakura Wars game is amazing
Wanwa the Doggy
Actual Show was dog shit but Studio Boners has earned their name for what their animation and art styles do to me
Something something man of culture.
Have you read the Houseki no Kuni manga? I like how its anime looks too but the anime and manga have different appeals with their art. I especially like how it uses a lot of black backgrounds and lots of blacks in general.
