I hate when I try to make threads about medabots on Yea Forums and the anons just reply "lmao no body cares about that ded series".

Seems like bad luck. There have been some great Medabots threads on Yea Forums that end up hitting the bump limit.

dont do this to me user don't play with my heart like this. is it true? will there be some added scenes? I would like for more scenes in the early robattles

Amazing

I'm not even a fan of the games same with those gundam vs games, don't know why but I jsut dont't like them maybe they look/feel to slow for something that is first person

>still giving a fuck about medabots

Straight release unfortunately, first going for dub only of S1 but more to come.

Both seasons would easily fit on a Blu Ray.

it would be nice,a miracle even if there was a new medabots ova packed in as well that could be potential for a revival. I honestly don't get it medabots is basically gunpla how is it not popular? they even had to reduce to making an all girl cast and if I heard correctly loses pieces of clothing when they take damage
I thought s2 was trash? its why I haven't watched it

Could be better, but hell; I'll take it.

Was this show done digitally?

more people give a fuck about medabots than people who give a fuck about you

Yeah, but the first season is the only one anyone cares about. Second season was a massive step down.

True, but let's just take what we can get.
Season 2 in this instance is the second half of the first series, so episodes 27-52. Seasons 3 is technically Damashii/Spirits.

You're both thinking of Medarot Damashii/Medabots Spirits. The "second season" is the final 26 episodes of the first series.

>take self-aware robots
>sell them as pets/toys for children
>but equip them with weapons that use LIVE AMMUNITION and make them fight each other for people's entertainment
The concept of Medabots was a little more disturbing than most of these "collect them all" shows in hindsight.

which is why season 2 was so on point

Completely in line with Pokemon and other monster collecting shows. You think the monsters don't use live ammunition?

>SD Blu-ray
What's the point? No, genuinely, I don't get it.

Not really. In fact, I recall watching it and it was ok...but I have no fucking clue how the show actually ended.

That's nice
now if they'd only make another decent game with fake girl gimmicks

To make retards excited thinking they're getting a real bluray release when it's just a dvd ripped to BD.

Watching Medabots as an adult will disillusion you of your childhood so fast. I don't think there's ever been a show where the difference was so large between how good I thought it was as a child and how good I thought it was as an adult.

>dub only
What is even the point then?

I think it's a matter of context. In a show like Pokemon, Pokemon are largely considered their own things. They interact with humans and live with them, and some are artificial, but they're supposed to exist as their own beings who will cooperate with humans for fun, work, sports, etc. Their abilities are largely their own natural ones, and aren't specifically made to be dangerous. They just can be. Obviously in a "real world," the settting and treatment of such powers would be radically different, but it's not so odd that Pokemon is the way it is in comparison to Medabots. In a show like Digimon or Monster Rancher, the context of the setting makes it so that the actual combat is a serious thing, something that must be undertaken to fight evil villains and not just for fun.

In Medabots, the Medabots are entirely artificial, or at least presented as such for most of the games/show. I recall there's some sort of cryptic backstory, but nothing I can specifically remember. But in any case, as far as most people know, humans are going out of their ways specifically to make sapient robots that people can buy and own and trade and are equipped with dangerous weapons and abilities just for sport.

why not
there are retards that think the Digimon dubbed op is better than the original, there's probably one of those retards in this thread right now
the market is clearly there

>I recall there's some sort of cryptic backstory, but nothing I can specifically remember.
There was some ancient civilization of medabot-like beings who went extinct and their only remains were the original medals, if I remember right.

It might be a footage thing. If the dub has any significant changes, the audio won't sync. Blu-rays don't have alternate angles, which beg the question as to why they didn't do DVD

nobody buys DVD sets anymore
it's a relic, no matter when it's made

Not him but because this is a 480p release with only 26 episodes. They could've easily fit dual audio or released a proper bluray version but they didn't bother with either.

Anyone who supports this high jewing is a retard.

If you have blu-ray player, you can play DVDs.

it says the japanese version is gonna come at a later date

that's irrelevant

I feel like Medabots it's one of those anime I really liked as a kid, but if I go back to it nowadays it will probably be pretty mediocre, just like Sakura, Saint Seiya, Trigun, etc.

Attached: 979809878977259450.jpg (806x957, 142K)

I rewatched CCS recently and it really wasn't that bad, the art and the music still hold up extremely well and Sakura is entertaining. It's episodic but I just watched it in small batches instead of trying to marathon it.

>sakura
probably not since it mahou shoujo ive never watched it but I think it would hold up to todays standards for shoujo girls
>trigun
maybe
>saint seiya
yes
I recently Just rewatched beyblade(og) and its not as hyped as I remembered it but watching the battles still had some enjoyment for me along with the music, but g-revolution on the hand I would probably like very much,

physical media of all kinds is becoming irrelevant

>I honestly don't get it medabots is basically gunpla how is it not popular? they even had to reduce to making an all girl cast and if I heard correctly loses pieces of clothing when they take damage
Basically because the games are actually worse than the show for once, and they didn't improve quick enough to maintain hold. I mean, look which of the current line of model kits sold AND I HATE IT BECAUSE THAT MEANS CHROTOJIL KIT NEVER

>Be ancient civilization
>Manage to preserve your souls so that a future generation of intelligent beings can revive you
>Finally, society has found a means to revive you
>You get turned into a pet that beat down your own kind until they're literally unconscious

It's what was happening to Digimon. The games for that have been slowly but surely improving but with Tri, the anime is now what sucks.

Yeah, most of the time these shows age like milk. But recently I've finished watching pokemon indigo league and I surprisingly had fun watching it, I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone though.

Who licensed this?

PSA: if your favourite medarot is
>Metabee
>Rokusho
>Cyandog
>Saikachis
>Arcbeetle
>Arcbeetle-Dash
>Tyrelbeetle
>Gunknows (lol)
>Sanjuro (double lol)
Then you can get a model kit of it. Otherwise cry.

discotek

I forgot if it's mentioned in the anime, but in the games Medals originally came from space. Rare Medals like the one Metabee has are the originals, while the normal Medals are replications.

Gundam vs games are fast as shit once all four players start using everything in their arsenal,I mean missiles flying everywhere with laser cannons and rifles and the occasional madman trying to stab you with a sword,it gets really hectic.

but why are they so expensive and they only have like oen sizze from looking at hobby japan

Because Kotobukiya don't have a factory in Shizuoka like Bandai do

>sd blu-ray
>dubbed only
Well my hype instantly died.

What did you want instead of SD blu-ray?
10 DVD so you can swap after every 2 episodes or "1080p High definition remaster" where they crop the video and add a terrible sharpening filter?

how about at least the jap track on the blu ray

>Dissing Sanjuro
You are no friend of mine. You might find him goofy looking but it's undeniable that he has the best weapons out of all the KWGs.

That would be nice yes.

Good HD releases of old show exist.

Damashii too?

YYH is 28 episodes across 4 discs on DVD. What are you on about.

Why do I have to choose between shit and shit?
I'd prefer a good HD remaster in the proper aspect ratio with both English dub and the original Jap audio with English subs.

>whole point of robots fighting is because they can maul eachother.
>the show doesn't do that because dem kids.
nice picture, really made me think.

Medarot aged like fine wine, I've rewatched all of it twice already, really love the comfy small town setting and most of the cast is likable. Plus there are some crazy episodes like the ninja park one directed by Imaishi. Shame the staff apparently fell behind schedule really early into production which led to some wonky looking episodes, the potential was there.

Presumably in a future release, yeah.

I wonder if the episodes will be in the right order or if they'll be in the fucked up Western broadcast order.

He's not my -favorite-, but I'm actually kind of fond of Gun-Nose. He has this "scratch built in a garage" look to him that's fairly endearing.

Attached: 1550408838307.jpg (1000x513, 159K)

Odd, I thought they would re dub the whole thing and have the japanese audio as well.
