Why it has gone downhill since end of his arc?

The Gentle fight was god-tier, but otherwise agreed.

Current arc is better.

It went downhill since kamino ended. The plot started moving at a snails pace, OH and the culture fest were combined like 80 chapters but barely progressed the story.

Horikoshi insists on school arcs but already resolved the students inner conflicts during the sports fest, now they just have new contrived ones or are repeating the old ones.

OH was intresting at least

Mostly a meme people spout after it got popular.. I mean how the fuck can you take stupid as shit like this seriously?

>Horikoshi insists on school arcs but already resolved the students inner conflicts during the sports fest
Not only is this not fucking true but he neglect to even realize that the name of the anime is called My Hero ACADEMIA

The fight itself was top-tier but the writing was kind of underwhelming. Nonetheless it was some of the best choreography we've gotten in the manga.

Just so I can laugh at you how was it underwhelming

I mean nobody does. As you said it's a meme. Just look at Dr. stone threads. that's some hard bullying right now.

The Hawks stuff was great after that and the school class vs class tournament could have been really amazing, but it was a lot of wasted potential. Current arc is just a mess.

>The Hawks stuff was great
Please kill yourself fujo

It's been a while since I read it, but I think my main issue was with the pacing - it felt like there wasn't enough time between the introduction of his motivation and the moment he clashed with Izuku so I couldn't get as invested. Of course, this might be due to binging as opposed to reading weekly, or even just because of the way I paced it out in my head.

Also La Brava - her quirk and relationship with Gentle - left a weird impression on me but I'd have to reread to remember why.

Gentle was also the first instance of an enemy in the series feeling like a "Villain of the week", though that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is both in the sense of him having nothing to do with the LoV, which I think is actually a good thing, and in the sense that there wasn't much lasting impact on Izuku. Izuku is already pretty static as a character, with "exposure to the reality and hardships of heroism" being his one remaining track of emotional growth, so it ends up kind of weak when he doesn't really reflect on anything like that (even if we, the audience, do).

You're fucking retarded. Overhaul's arc was dope and it was followed up by the godlike Gentle Criminal arc. Fuck off.

Only tumblr hated the Endeavor arc.

I didn't really like it because it felt like a very by the book arc. I don't like that Endevour is getting a redemption arc when he clearly fucking shouldn't, its strange for hori to push it. It might've been saved if Dabi actually fought the heroes with a half dead overhaul and the stakes where upped

>I don't like that Endevour is getting a redemption arc when he clearly fucking shouldn't

Does tumblr not love abusive dads? If endevour was steadfast and knew he treated people like shit but felt the cause of being strong far outweighed the needs of his family I might've liked it more. But now he's a fucking pussy

The main issue here is that the "Academia" is hardly the focus of the plot. The focus of the plot are OfA, and AfO and his League of Villains. And none of the students besides Deku has anything to do with the League (except maybe Shoto and the theorical League Spy whose existence hasn't been suggested in 150 chapters), so student stuff doesn't move the plot forward.

Add the fact all the other villainous teams who have goals that could align with some students end up getting killed to further prop up the League, and the "academia" side feels like it hardly matters.

>The main issue here is that the "Academia" is hardly the focus of the plot.
>The focus of the plot are OfA, and AfO and his League of Villains.
This might be the dumbest shit in spouted in this thread.

>The appearance of "quirks," newly discovered super powers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shape-shifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual. Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku's unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might's quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor.
>Enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year's freshmen look especially promising. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.

>The main issue here is that the "Academia" is hardly the focus of the plot. The focus of the plot are OfA, and AfO and his League of Villains.
There's more focus on the Academia portion than than latter also this is the most the villains has gotten any focus since the manga started.

>I don't like that Endevour is getting a redemption arc when he clearly fucking shouldn't
I mean it’s clearly gonna end with him dead by Dabi’s hands so it’s not like he’ll really be redeemed anyway

What are the biggest ongoing plots and mysteries in the series right now?
You have Hawks working for the League, AfO having prepared for his defeat with Shiggy so the LoV would rise, Shiggy having acquired DeQuirking bullets, how Eri's Quirk works, what other Quirks Deku has.
More Nomus being created by Ujiko.
The only two major plots related to the school kids are:
Todoroki family drama. And we all know that will end with Endeavor dying/being incapacitated to the League at some point.
UA is looking negligent... After being attacked by the LoV multiple times.

The other students don't really have any ongoing storyline right now.

What are the biggest events we have witnessed that impacted the plot? All Might beating One for All and Deku discovering he had Six more Quirks. Deku's relationship with other students has also been given little attention, outside of the Bakugo rivalry.
