So what anime that came out in the past 2 years will become a classic 10 years from now?

Honestly none. Seasonal anime culture has gone so far off the deep end people forget most series with each season.
For example, no one talks about Psycho-pass or Death Parade anymore. It's all about the flavor of the month, and then you move on.
Even Yea Forums's waifu changes every month. The only ones they keep are the meme ones like lain.
>Honestly none. Seasonal anime culture has gone so far off the deep end people forget most series with each season
that's true for every season.
>For example, no one talks about Psycho-pass or Death Parade anymore. It's all about the flavor of the month, and then you move on.
People had psycho-pass discussions for years until it burned out. also those 2 shows aren't very good
Kaguya-sama
Psycho-pass is becoming more and more relevant every day.
No
Lain is just naturally that good.
Heaven's Feel, maybe.
Can we allow a remake like Dororo to become a classic though? Like the original series, I'm OK with having dubbed a classic but a remake not so much. Personally, I watch read/watch way more Shojo manga/anime then any other genre and while I drastically prefer the Fruits Basket remake over the original version of the anime I'm not OK really with the remake anime taking over as being "the classic". And when it comes to Dororo, when your original version came out in the '60s you have to go with the '60s version as the classic one.
That all being said KnY being considered a classic in the future I'm 100% ok with. It's the first Shonen that I watched/read in 12-15 years. The pacing and the characters are so good and I hope the manga ends soon because we could be looking at the perfect shonen series if it does. I mean it's got demon hunting, characters I actually genuinely care about, a whole lot of heart, and Taisho era kimono (which my bitch ass has to say is the best era for fashion as far as japan goes that blend of kimono and western fashion is to have almost your whole family killed by a demon except for you cute imouto who is cute who is turned into an even cuter demon for).
DITF
Imagine how fucking delusional you'd have to be to think KnY will be remembered in 5 years, let alone 10. It can't go a single episode without completely ripping off an objectively superior series which IS remembered.
Gridman
what are you talking about?
I havent seen any rip offs. While I didnt say KnY with the utmost seriousness I still think it has the potential to be a classic
I'd be fine with Dororo becoming a classic as I heard that the plot wasnt a copy-paste and that the time between them was so far between. Although I agree that maybe this anime wont be considered a classic but should be weighed in the future memories of this being a classic series and a classic story. Given that it's likely that many people heard of it through this anime which was honestly a beautiful adaptation (outside of a few obvious scenes that the budget wasnt there) but the story was still wonderful
KnY I think has potential to be a classic. Honestly probably the best shounen of the past 10+ years in terms of story, pacing, time period, art, and characters. Im not sure about the manga, I wont read it till S1 is over. Im genuinely excited to see if it can make its mark on history and (hopefully) be a revival of shounen
Tsurune
Attack on Titan, easily.

Zombieland Saga is the first that comes to my mind.
Some people will disagree but I think Violet Evergarden is going to be remembered for many years to come (the recent Kyoani incident may or may not contribute to it).
>no no no and no
you left one out, Which is the yes?
MiA and Gridman maybe? There's no telling what kind of audience the medium will have 10 years from now.
literally a poor man's ghost in the shell
If I had to put my money on just one show it would be Girls' Last Tour.
SSSS.Gridman and 3-gatsu no Lion.
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou maybe, definitely if the ending gets animated.

Even ditf was leagues better than that schlock.
Code gayass isn't a classic
Mob Psycho, but I also want Houseki no Kuni to go as the first good CG anime.
I didn't realize so many people unironically liked gridman. I dropped after ep. 1 because it seemed like a d-rate saturday morning cartoon. Does it get better? Or are yall faggots who fell too hard for the teenage thighs meme?
>>no new IP
Perhaps your IP counter is broken.
My favorite episodes was 1, 2 and 12, But I think I was in the minority with that opinion, most people seem to think it got better as it went along.
It's a really good toku show, watching it for the girls alone is plain stupid.
>Mob Psycho
This is great.
>Houseki no Kuni to go as the first good CG anime
It was trash compared to the actually animated PV though. Overrated as fuck despite being irrelevant soulless shit. Also 3dcg shit isn't anime.
They don't. It's a tripshit and a spammer.
>Does it get better?
No.
fantastic post, such insight into your reasoning behind those predictions!
>an entire show didn't look as good as a 1:40 min advertisement
Even if it was 2D there is no way it would have upheld that quality.
Made in Abyss, and hopefully just that.
CC ass is what's classic.
>They are the same!!
Did you even watch them? Or are you the kind of person who says gundam is the same as Legend of the galactic heroes cause they are both sci-fi?
Kimi no Na wa & Violet Evergarden.
>in terms of[...] pacing
Ha.
CC ass is so spankable.
Best movie and tv series to be honest.
>I dropped after ep. 1 because it seemed like a d-rate saturday morning cartoon
But the first episode is nothing like a saturday morning cartoon. It's atmospheric, slow paced and misterious. I'd suggest you to watch it again.
If violet evergarden can be a classic then unlimited blade works should be one.
the only good thing about them are the overuse of effects.
>unlimited blade works

Best anime of 2018 hands down, it won't be remembered as a classic because it's underrated as fuck.
And the rushed ending.
Dororo, Violet Evergarden, Irozuku.

People need to actually watch it before it can become a classic.
>clams t's best of 2018
>doesn't even put it in his shitpost
the state of this fickle tripshit
>For example, no one talks about Psycho-pass
Psycho Pass literally just got several movies. Yea Forums not talking about it doesn't mean it's not still popular.
Same with trashman, Back Street Girls etc.. but i digress.
>trashman
What's this?
>ssss trashcan
Lurk moar.
CC's ass is magic.
Did Shirley win the MC bowl in the movie?
Evergarden
Your the only one that calls it that.
And people did watch Gridman. Especially on Yea Forums and in Japan.
The last truly great anime was Madoka Magica.
We had nothing of the same order of magnitude ever since.
I didn't claim Gridman to be the best anime of 2018 though? The OP is asking for anime that will be considered a classic in 10 years and as much as I like Koi Ame that won't happen, Gridman was my second favorite and it was popular so it was a safe choice. Now fuck off faggot.
You think CC likes being spanked?

Classics are dead, no new ones will be classics, and the old ones are forgotten.
whats the best animes this decade would have been a better question
>hating popular things
Popular=/=classic
>animes
Anime is the plural of anime, newfag. Also Anime of the Decade is either Madoka or Evergarden depending on whether you're a plotfag or a productionfag.
I don't know about all of the ones making new threads, but I know I watched it.
>whether you're a plotfag or a productionfag
>being either
Quite pathetic of you.
No, it wouldn't have.
That's Madoka, and it's so overwhelming that anyone claiming anything else is blatantly baiting.
I didn't mean it so literally. Just what people value more overall.
And I called those people pathetic. Because plot and the quality of production are the least important aspects of anime.
>Madoka
nah. More like Evergarden.
accurate list ther than VS, has potential but gotta see where it goes
3gatsu is highly likely to be mandatory viewing in the future.
The only title Madoka gets is the most insufferable fandom of the decade.
>Madoka
plotfag or productionfag.
Are you actually implying that Madoka - an anime with ridiculously high production values, which are arguably even higher then Violet Evergarden, is somehow disliked by """productionfags""".
To the point that even people who don't understand the plot say that Madoka is good because it "looks great and you could print out any frame and put it into a museum"
It's a fucking snorefest.
>looks great and you could print out any frame and put it into a museum
No one has ever said that without sarcasm, or not being called retarded right after.
But it's simply a statement of fact.
>Are you actually implying that Madoka - an anime with ridiculously high production values, which are arguably even higher then Violet Evergarden, is somehow disliked by """productionfags""".
This has to be the stupidest fucking thing i've read all year. aaha ahahahahahhahahahaa
I can see a valid argument for it being overproduced.
How. Fucking how? I get that madokafags are delusional but this level of retardation is astounding.
They are talking about Madoka not VEG.
If anything Madoka is underproduced.
Madoka while being a good show overall has below average production values. Even thinking it's comparable to Evergarden which has the best production values on a tv anime ever is the height of ignorance.
Madoka is perfect. Even if God himself descended from heaven and was asked by the creators:
"God, we are working on Madoka Magica, is there anything you would like to add or change?"
God himself would reply:
"It's perfect as it is. Even with boundless power, it is impossible to improve upon it in any way".
I can't tell if this is false flagging or not. oh my god
I believe wholeheartedly that Kemono Friends will be talked about for the next ten years, if only because of the intense and unending rage, hatred, sadness, and frustration caused by KF2, not withstanding the preexisting rage and all that caused by 9/25.

Nah. It's fucking cancer and a butchered adaptation.
Dororo, Evergarden and MIA.
Made in Abyss, certainly. And it's an awful thing given what adaptation did to the fanbase.

Evergarden. It had truly insane production values. Really stood out in a time when studios are cranking out the cheap schlock en masse to try to garner as much profit as possible. Raised the bar for what tv anime could accomplish.
kyoani burned down lol
Stop ban evading KHK.
That's a good thing. Just look at trash like franxx.
Depth of field was used even when Walt Disney was alive, and effects are not new for Violet Evergarden. Is there something about this show that people like other than the god damn effects?
So? What's your point? Adaptions are better. They have the opportunity to rethink and improve improve upon the original idea. Originals don't have that privilege so they're more likely to turn out shit as was the case with franxx.
>replying
The alternative is drawn-out LNs. I'd rather watch trainwrecks like DiTF with no source material for fags to spoil than deal with the tired seasonal isekai or haremshit.
>trolling again
What the fuck? He didn't say anything about DoF or effects, though they were stellar. What the fuck is with your obsession?
>They have the opportunity to rethink and improve improve upon the original idea
This has never actually happened in anime.
Happens all the time. Attack on Titan is a famous example. Lurk moar and watch more anime, newfag.
Imagine being triggered by a mongolian carpet that people really like.
Literally Dororo. An example from this very fucking thread. Massive improvement over the original.
This.
Attack on Titan anime didn't improve shit. Nothing it added is good and it ruined what little good there was in the uprising arc.

What the fuck is with your own obsession?
Why do you think this just above average show is so fucking good?
And no he did not say anything specific, but the .webm he attached had only DoF and filters going for it. The actual animation behind it were pretty meh.
Gotta be the most boring trite trigger have ever done. If you must post something from them at least go with franxx.
Gotta respect honesty.
Only shitposters dislike it.
Stop ban evading.
It's gonna be considered an underlooked gem years from now
Good taste
>What the fuck is with your own obsession?
Stop projecting so much.
>Why do you think this just above average show is so fucking good?
It's the most technically impressive tv anime of all time. It pushed the boundaries of anime. Calling it just "above average" is an understating it's greatness.
>The actual animation behind it were pretty meh.
*is Get your grammar right before you try to converse with people. And how so? There's an incredible amount of detail in every frame of the animation and it's very consistent. You never see that in tv anime.
Fuck off Vegfag. I just want you to tell you one thing:
Perhaps you haven't even realized it yet, but the way the internet works is that everything is connected and all actions are interlinked.
The way you were all the time false flagging Violet Evergarden and raising hate against Kyo Ani by false flagging with your insane boogeyman story.
You actually managed to get people riled up against Kyoani.
Unironically.
You managed that, because back then in when you started postÃng your retarded shit people actually got angry at it.
Angry at you.
And angry by proxy at Kyo Ani.
And some of those people carried your hatred into the world.
And perhaps some of it reached a certain Japanese guy who is now getting charged with arson.
That's right.
It was you.
There is a good chance that you are responsible for Kyo Ani burning down.
You are to blame for this doom.

This is some next level of mad right here.

Violet Evergarden.
The direction was really bad.
no need to reply twice
No, it wasnt ya massive faggots. Shit animation, shit pacing convoluted but did nothing interesating with it.Boring characters and shitty design.
At least the original had that eerie horror athmosphere and one of the best anime soundtracks.
The new one was cheap, bad and soulless.
Violet Evergarden, Mob Psycho 100.

Pretty much but also Dororo.
Dude, this is like the 4th time you've shilled this dumb show. It sucked, move on.
>It's so fucking boring people just have to see it!
Just because one insane retard spams this doesn't mean it's true. If you think Evergarden of all things is boring then you haven't seen enough anime.
>hurr durr everyone is a samefag
Fuck you, dumb schizo. Dororo is amazing.
>It's so fucking boring people just have to see it!
that belongs to 3gatsu
opm season 1 came out like 5 years ago, and season 2 was shit
Unironically bunny senpai.
None of them.
Girls' Last Tour.
I dropped halfway into the second episode
Even the secondary characters have low functioning autism and Violet herself is basically Rei Q tier.
literally
>What is like?
>What is love?
Can you fucking imagine a human ignorant of a concept of joy? Even deprived of any affection she would still observe people abround herself liking things and talking about wives .
Liking things is so simple one cannot avoid liking something in his life, even held in a cell since birth you'd enjoy the most basic things like taking a big shit. And then be like
>Like? Is it like taking a BIIIIG shit? I like that.
This is fucking retarded, i can't even imagine how they come up with that.
Also she's a blatant Saber ripoff.
Or maybe she's Saber's Q.
Also the drama between the secondary characters was forced, autismal and cringy as well.
indeed
It doesn't get better. Some people just like listening to Yuuki Aoi shouting.
>in the past 2 years

If Redline can be remembered as a classic based solely on its animation, so will Promare
More like 4, it aired fall 2015.
>So if I watch enough boring anime, this will become less boring?
Unironically yes. The more you watch the more you will come to appreciate things like differences in directing style and presentation. Try to complete kekkai sensen or "in another world with my smartphone", that's an actual boring show.
>kekkai sensen
>boring
VEGfag continues to show his abysmal taste.

Animation is fucking dead and Redline was it's funeral ceremony. Like saying to it goodbye for the last time.
I expect Promare to be a series of hyper stylized still poses and frames with only the mouths move.
Because on top of everything Trigger are POOR.
Yea it's atrocious. Especially the "kiss".
I agree it's a classic, at least a cult classic but it's too old. OP said last 2 years.
it took 6
>Force yourself to watch shit shows so you can appreciate my mediocre show
How about I just watch things that are good instead?
the only anime that was mentioned multiple times in this tread and had no one question it has been MiA
Because it was so mediocre no one cared enough to argue.
>I expect Promare to be a series of hyper stylized still poses and frames with only the mouths move.
you couldn't be more wrong
Unlike your average Rei-type she actually wants to understand herself and other people. I find your shitpost extremely forced.

Evergarden. Truly the gold standard of visual storytelling.
>Truly the gold standard of visual storytelling.
Anime would truly be dead if this was true.
Why is everyone saying Dororo? I found it good at best, and much of it was incredibly boring. Didn't realise there was so much love for it here
>your average Rei-type she actually wants to understand herself and other people
That is the most common characterization given to a Rei-clone.
An average Rei-type thinks and figures things out or rather knows everything already but just is cripplingly depressed or detached from her own feelings.
He's right. All you can do is unfounded bullshit.
>He
This.
that instant you realize youre in a thread with a loon talking to himself
I liked the scene that opened with huge bouncing tits.
>you couldn't be more wrong
I checked the trailer.
it was 80% 3d and 15% super jerky 6fps animation with characters basically telephoning from one exaggerated pose to another with no in-between transition frames.
One scene with them running was probably the animation kitsch on which they spent most of the money.
This isn't even on the level of OPM S1 which had an amazingly detailed mosquito gir's face.
But their 3d blends in with 2d actually well, i give them that it's pretty, but doesn't move well.
Couldn't agree more.
upper left: hair blowing in the wind, nothing new
upper middle: slap cheek, this shit happens in most shonen where they focus a little on females
top right: just lip flaps and a fucking blink
middle left: Not gonna lie, they did good cannons.
middle right: 2 frame tremble with some blobs of water falling, also a hand moving as if that never happens
bottom left: nothing
bottom center: another hand moving...
bottom right: It has a good movement with both her taking the hand, bowing down and having the clothes move realistically with her
2/8 were anything good, and you think this is top tier.
Can't spell Cattleya without cattle.

Kill yourself KHK, no one will fall for it.
>It's so fucking boring people just have to see it!
This.
>2/8 were anything good, and you think this is top tier.
No. I posted the grid because it looks nice, not because i thought it was an amazing example of visual storytelling. Episode 5 is the gold standard though. They literally hand animated over a dozen unique intricately detailed dresses to demonstrate the princess's extravagant way of life. It doesn't get nearly enough credit.
I'm certainly going to watch it because it looks like massive fun.
Is anything other than camrips out?
>There is only one person who does not like my favorite show

There has been 2 actually.

Damn so you are so fucking dense. Read this() post again. They designed and hand animated over a dozen intricately detailed dresses, to convey a point, that's what's impressive. Any other show wouldn't have gone that far, wouldn't have been as detailed or would've have simply used stills or cgi.
I know, that's why i didn't say that, kid.
>no other show has ever changed the clothing of its characters
Can't argue with that.
>Dororo
I honestly had to drop it at eppisode 4 or something.
Shit was so boring.
This version would be a solid 10/10 if every other arc was that level of quality, but the rest of them range from just alright to good.
At Dawn>King of Distortion>VS Imaginator>And Others
Agreed?
>They designed and hand animated over a dozen intricately detailed dresses, to convey a point, that's what's impressive.
But how is that so great example of visual storytelling that it shows why VEG should be the gold standard? A princess being extravagant isn't something that needs to be explained in the first place. A princess having detailed clothes tells us nothing new about her character and adds nothing to the narrative.
>Any other show wouldn't have gone that far, wouldn't have been as detailed or would've have simply used stills or cgi.
Yet this would have gotten the exact same message across.
I would love a good Shonen revival. Shonen is such a gateway into anime and manga for so many people, but it's just that the genre turns out so many bloated series with no heart that feel like they're only in it for the money and it's so disappointing to me. I like stories with good characters so I tend to drift to Josei and Seinen more and more with touches of Shojo.
>spoiler
Are you me?
I think that King of Distortion was just as good as At Dawn.
Thunderbolt fantasy
Jesus fucking christ? Is post strawmen all you fuckers can do or are you this(191299344, ) spammer? Other shows have changed their characters clothes but none are anywhere near this intricate or animated.
I was gonna post this till I realised it was too old. Pity,
Being well animated=/=good visual storytelling.
You could have great visual storytelling with low detailed still images.
>But how is that so great example of visual storytelling that it shows why VEG should be the gold standard?
Because it does it's job and is more impressive than anything you'll find anywhere else. There isn't anything as noteworthy,
>A princess being extravagant isn't something that needs to be explained in the first place. A princess having detailed clothes tells us nothing new about her character and adds nothing to the narrative.
I personally disagree. I rally think it does add to the overall atmosphere and world.
>Yet this would have gotten the exact same message across.
You can do something well or you can do it like shit. May as well read a book at this point right user? Simply being told would also "get the message across".
I see you've never heard of endless eight.
>Being well animated=/=good visual storytelling.
It does here at least. I don't think you understand what visual storytelling is. It's quite literally taking advantage of and telling the story through the visuals. This does it's job and it's really fucking impressive too.
>You could have great visual storytelling with low detailed still images.
Maybe but this example does everything "low detailed still image" could and more.
(excluding sequels)
Poputepipikku
Yagate Kimi ni Naru
Honorable mention:
Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight
>oh no, I have an incurable death curse
>good thing there's an insane immortal shota so I can take on his curse too
The OVAs were much better
You greatly overestimate how noteworthy it is for a princess to have multiple dresses.
And I fail to see how it adds anything at all to the world.
>You can do something well or you can do it like shit
Obviously being well animated is a virtue on its own, but it does not mean it becomes better visual storytelling for it. It being well animated and highly detailed adds nothing to the story, the world or the characters.
>It's quite literally taking advantage of and telling the story through the visuals
Yes, but adding details to the dresses and having it be well animated adds nothing to the story that wasn't already there. The dresses could just be shown in her closet or something and it would tell the exact same story. Nothing is added to the story because it is impressive to look at.
Which also means that making it well animated does not improve the visual storytelling.
>Maybe but this example does everything "low detailed still image" could and more.
Not in terms of telling a story it doesn't.
>You greatly overestimate how noteworthy it is for a princess to have multiple dresses.
I don't. It's not simply that but also the fact that they're intricate, well designed and fucking animated too.
>but it does not mean it becomes better visual storytelling for it.
Yes it does.
>It being well animated and highly detailed adds nothing to the story, the world or the characters.
It really genuinely does. That's what separates real art from shit.
>It really genuinely does
What exactly does it add?
How does our understanding of the story, world or character become any better by it being detailed?
>Yes, but adding details to the dresses and having it be well animated adds nothing to the story that wasn't already there.
Those details literally change the world. Clearly you can't appreciate art. To you it's meaningless whether a story is told in it's most bare bones fashion or not.
>The dresses could just be shown in her closet or something and it would tell the exact same story. Nothing is added to the story because it is impressive to look at.
It wouldn't be as good to watch. What you're saying is like narrating an account for a battle isn't of actually animating it.
>Which also means that making it well animated does not improve the visual storytelling.
>Not in terms of telling a story it doesn't.
Yes it does because the events are literally different. Nothing impressive about showing shit in a closet.
I was so worried that the fire got you too, Violet.
What exactly does it add?
Those lines change the "feel" of it. Again user, if you're asking this, you may as well be reading a fucking book. This is what separates visual storytelling from written storytelling.
Remember VEGfag. KyoAni... was your fault.
Now continue coping.
crybaby
>Those details literally change the world
How?
>It wouldn't be as good to watch
Maybe, but there is more to enjoying anime than simply visual storytelling. It is more enjoyable to watch something well animated, but that doesn't mean it visually tells it story better.
>What you're saying is like narrating an account for a battle isn't of actually animating it
That is not what I am saying at all, what I am saying is that having that battle be well animated does not mean it is told better.
>Yes it does because the events are literally different
The events aren't actually different though, they are just more detailed. They still tell the same story, in the exact same way. It is just more pleasing to look at.
The fire.
The hatred.
The reason was you.
It was you.
You are to blame for this doom.
Made in Abyss definitely
>Those lines change the "feel" of it
The feel of what exactly? Just because something being well animated makes you feel something doesn't mean anything was added to the story.
What separates visual storytelling from written storytelling is that one is visual and the other is written, nothing else.
>How?
Literally. That's what i mean. Otherwise you may as well be reading a book as that still "gets the message across".
> It is more enjoyable to watch something well animated, but that doesn't mean it visually tells it story better.
Yes it does. How is this so hard to understand?
>That is not what I am saying at all, what I am saying is that having that battle be well animated does not mean it is told better.
It fucking does mean it's told better. Kyoani's art is their own visual language. It's a better way of expression.
>The events aren't actually different though, they are just more detailed.
Thy would be different because they'd be missing those finer details. It wouldn't be as fleshed out.
Whatever the fuck is popular.
No matter how much you turbo virgins cry, anime like Sword Art Online, Shingeki no Kyojin, Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto, One Piece, etc it all will be remembered and praised as classics, regardless of how bad or good they are.
Many amazing anime ends up falling into obscurity and no one ever remembers then, so being a "classic" has nothing to do with its quality.
>The feel of what exactly?
Setting. By your logic we should just fucking read books.
>What separates visual storytelling from written storytelling is that one is visual and the other is written, nothing else.
If you understand this, stop being so retarded.
Violet Evergarden!! That show was so good.
>Literally. That's what i mean
That doesn't tell me anything, what about the world does it change? How is the world different from having those details in it?
>How is this so hard to understand
Because you haven't explained at all how it changes the story. So there is nothing to understand.
>Thy would be different because they'd be missing those finer details. It wouldn't be as fleshed out.
Those details fleshes nothing out though. The dress having a few more crevices or pearls on them adds nothing to anything. Nothing changes except that the dress looks more detailed. It doesn't add anything to the story of the extravagant princess.
Fire!
It was you...
You are to blame for this doom.
Could one of you please mention that you/re discussing the direction of a show and how that's not the same as animation.
>Setting. By your logic we should just fucking read books.
>If you understand this, stop being so retarded.
What you are saying here only makes sense if you think that something being not as detailed or well animated as VEG = it being a book. There are other reason to have something in a visual medium apart from visual storytelling. One of those is that you can also make it interesting to look at, but that doesn't necessarily add anything to the story.
It's not simply about knowing that events take place but understanding how with detail. It's like the difference between something with 3 tone shading and 5. With 5 you're told more about it's shape. Or the difference between a sequence being on 2s or 1s. With 1s you have more info on somethings position. This changes the story because you know more about it. You're just taking advantage of the visual medium more.
So are we going to ignore all of the hamfisted visual direction because you're impressed by the episode where they design multiple dresses? The dresses could just as likely be attributed to Kyoani trying to show off. Which they clearly were. Also shoujo anime must the pinnacle of storytelling.
I hope you are not implying chode gayss is a classic or anything remotely close, faggot.
Every time I come to Yea Forums now it's only ever talking about anime airing that season or anime that came out almost 10 years ago. I think Madoka was the last one OP.
>That doesn't tell me anything, what about the world does it change? How is the world different from having those details in it?
Those details are part of the world are they not? They make it more expressive. A picture can tell a 1000 words.
>Those details fleshes nothing out though. The dress having a few more crevices or pearls on them adds nothing to anything. Nothing changes except that the dress looks more detailed. It doesn't add anything to the story of the extravagant princess.
What are you even arguing anymore? It being impressive is better than if it wasn't.
You do not know anything more just because the dress is more detailed though. It tells you absolutely nothing about anything. It adds nothing to your understanding of anything. All it does is making the dress more detailed. I have no idea what exactly it is you think is being told by having a detailed dress as compared to a detail-less dress.
>It's like the difference between something with 3 tone shading and 5
Having more detailed shading doesn't necessarily make a piece better. It could still be a shit composition.
Overproduction is a thing. Just saying.
>What you are saying here only makes sense if you think that something being not as detailed or well animated as VEG = it being a book.
It doesn't simply "sense if you think that something being not as detailed or well animated as VEG = it being a book". It proves anons argument to be stupid. It amazes me how people can not give a shit about crafting a compelling and fleshed out world.
>Those details are part of the world are they not
But their existence changes nothing about it.
>They make it more expressive
No it doesn't, it makes it so that the dresses are more detailed.
>What are you even arguing anymore? It being impressive is better than if it wasn't.
I said that many post ago. The point is that it being impressive doesn't add to the story. It is simply impressive. And I never called that a bad thing.
why are you replying to him? He is a well-known troll who goes on and on about the same shit every day.
He is just doing this to make VEG look bad and to annoy people, and you can clearly see that the "opinion" he is espousing is intentionally constructed to bait you and he hasn't added anything new to it since months ago. He doesn't even think that himself.
More like a meme. Most shows are underproduced.
I don't disagree user.
Watamote had twelve episodes, and 7 years later we have 3 threads about it during this weekend alone
As far as recent stuff, Kaguya sama seems to leave the best impression on people when I introduce it to them. Kemurikusa had a unique history building up to it and followed through with solid storytelling that'll ensure the cult fanbase keeps it relevant.
Cells at work probably won't be considered a classic, but it'll be worth bringing up every now and again.
And depending on how season 2 goes, Asobi Asobase will become the next anime synonymous with Japanese people funny screaming
3-gatsu no Lion and Violet Evergarden.
>It tells you absolutely nothing about anything.
It does though. It tells you about the garments composition.
>All it does is making the dress more detailed. I have no idea what exactly it is you think is being told by having a detailed dress as compared to a detail-less dress.
It damn well more interesting than saying nothing.
Yea Forums has no history anymore. I 100% blame the janitors and moderation for this, since it killed off many of the Yea Forums specific threads, allowed rampant shonen general faggotry and deletes any "offtopic" threads. I'm honestly shocked this wasn't reported as a recommendation thread and deleted, maybe janny's asleep. Yea Forums's goldfish memory also reveals that not many people here watch a lot of shows now, people only watch maybe 2 or 3 a season, not counting sequels.
If it's not airing or isn't a shonen shit Yea Forums doesn't remember it, doesn't care about it and doesn't know it even aired.
Even putting that aside, season 1 was just super popular. Its video sales were on par with Evangelion. It's not the kind of show that gets forgotten, even without outrage over its legacy being tarnished or whatever.
>But their existence changes nothing about it.
They literally do user They make it feel like you're looking through a window into another world instead of a whole load of nothing.
>No it doesn't
Come on, this is just stupidity now. On a technical level it makes it more expressive. More details literally express more things. CGI is more expressive than any sakuga but it doesn't look as nice.
jesus christ how horrifying
Evergarden for sure.
>They make it feel like you're looking through a window into another world
Not because of the details on the dress though, and if it does then you have some serious dress autism.
>More details literally express more things
Not necessarily.
just skip the parts that don't involve the mom
non-aho Aoi Yuuki makes my ears bleed
>Not because of the details on the dress though, and if it does then you have some serious dress autism.
Because of lots of things.
>Not necessarily.
These aren't scribbles user. They're proper linework and things like tones denote shape.
looks like veg isn't going anywhere jesus christ
The most reddit show of the year
She's always shit.

March Comes in, MiA, and probably Mob Psycho

20 episodes were garbage
Anything JoJo related simply because it has the balls to do things other shows won't do any more.
A billion fucking isekai and harem garbage shows and not a single series out there that does the shit JoJo does weekly.
>redditman 100
Mob is a very different show, I am not sure how it relates. They can both be classics.
>Yea Forums still denying the impact of DitF
I feel sorry for you
the impact of making people waste hours of their lives over this trash
back to your boruto thread, feg
Camrips aren't even available as far as I know. If you're American you're gonna have to wait till September.
The intricacies he's talking about do indeed contribute to giving the world more of it's own character.
VEG = anime of decade
>A princess being extravagant isn't something that needs to be explained in the first place.
False. Not all royalty are even rich or lead extravagant lifestyles. Their wealth is dependant on that of the country they govern as well as their customs and conduct. The presentation itself simply reveals how this particular dynasty operates.
The most popular one
Nothing happens the anime
you aren't a classic
Sure. Seeing Violet transform, through the experiences of others, over the course of the series was "nothing". I bet you're the kind of retard who thinks nothing happens in K-On. Not everything needs to have crazy plot twists or lots of mindless action to be eventful.
Why is trigger the only anime studio doing originals regularly lately?
They cant get any adaptations because they don't have resources to make anime by themselves. Franxx was A-1. Gridman was 3dcg shit by other studio with only stills from Trigger. Promare is 3dcg shit from other studio.
No studio would give Trigger anything to "adapt", because they simply can't. They are just the brand that sell their name at this point
Dude come on.
>The most reddit show of the year
>Came out at the same time as Mob2, Promised Neverland, Kaguya-Sama, and Dororo
Not even the most reddit shows of its season
I'd argue zombieland is the best thing to come out out the last few years.
Lurk moar. Piss Awful Works have been contaminating the medium with garbage originals too, newfag. The less people that do that shit the better. Anime being the initial medium for an idea is not of optimal benefit for us. It doesn't leave the same opportunity for tweaks, reception and improvement. If the franxx manga had come out first then maybe they'd've rethought that horrible ending. We don't need the bad prototypes.
This.
If you weren't a moron you'd know the Dororo anime is basically original.
Liz & the Blue Bird.
>Honestly none. Seasonal anime culture has gone so far off the deep end people forget most series with each season
Wrong.
>For example, no one talks about Psycho-pass or Death Parade anymore.
Why do you figure? Surely not because they were completely irredeemable dogshit?
>two hours of pure Imaishi sakuga
>most of it is actually 3dshit
Imaishi's a shitty fucking director who needs to retire already.
like what?
Finally a patrician.
Jojo looks like trash.
Its plot is trash.
Its memes are trash.
And its fans are trash.
