oh yeah you're right, the way I originally read it was the moonies will disappear then later the gems and slugs will start to fade away. I didn't see the part where aech says "at the same time"

I feel like that would just make the most sense for what ichikawa's trying to communicate with this story

like either something has to go awry or the gems have to actually take longer to disappear because the conclusion would be really awkward otherwise (unless something happens after they die but that is highly unlikely judging by what ichikawa seems to be doing)

I suppose Sensei could take the extreme option and destroy himself. He said he's not able to do it normally, but if Phos technically gave him permission to do so?
Sensei actually being gone for good would still be a big shift in the story without getting rid of anyone else

can we talk about how good the art was this chapter
I recently got all the volumes that are officially out in english and especially looking at the covers I think ichikawa's art has developed a lot

Cinnabar is accepted by the earth gems now so that plot is already more or less concluded, he and phos just need to talk again
