Symphogear is pretty good. Sad I Missed out the last 4 seasons though. But I'm just confused, why did Fine create the symphogear system to contact god, and why do the custodians want to stop her?

Fine was the high priestess of their religion and was in constant communion with God. Then God suddenly put up the curse. Fine blamed the Custodians for this and tried to figure out a way to break the curse, so that humanity wouldn't be held down by the custodians, but more importantly, she would get to talk with God again. By this time, the Custodians weren't even around anymore, it was just their systems in place that actually facilitate the curse.
