Seems in this universe speed and skill matter a fuck ton.

"Hiei" is more like Obanai. I'd say Zenitsu is still kind of like Kuwabara because when he wins it's always against the weaker demon. I think the reason he doesn't job is because fighters who lose actually die or become crippled in this series. Also, no tournaments so far.

If Zenitsu had Kaigaku's hair, he would be much more handsome.

He was seriously crushing on Botan before Yukina showed up. Then he forgot about her. And it's not exactly "lusting" but he had a strict policy against fighting girls, even while a female was working for the people keeping Yukina imprisoned. It's a similar enough trait that I thought was worth throwing in there.

I'd say Zenitsu is a mix of Kuwabara and Mihashi from Oofuri. He remind me a lot of him.

Zenitsu loosing consciousness is like watching an actual fight, no conversation just actual fighting. Sure there's still the annoying inner monologue in this latest fight but its not tanjiro tier "WHOA I GOTTA FIGURE THIS OUT WITH MY DUPER MOVES BRO, but uhuuu my wounds they hurt boohoo" its the same thing that makes inosuke fights enjoyable to watch as well.
