Faggots
bump
Madhouse did a great job with the show, it's a shame they didn't get to adapt what comes after. Is an OVA more than a decade after the manga ended completely out of the question?
GOOD taste op. my best friend is the self proclaimed #1 beck fan, loves this show to pieces
did y'all know harold was at nycc last year?
Reading the manga right now. I think I'm about at the point where the anime ends. I feel bad for the main character having to choose between Maho, the gymnastics girl, and (though she's mostly out of the picture right now) the childhood friend girl.
Well I would pick Maho without a fucking shred of hesitation
So far Maho doesn't seem that dedicated to being with Koyuki even though sometimes she seems to be into it (and has gotten mad before at him seemingly flirting with other girls). The gymnastics girl seems pretty nice too though.
FULL MOON SWAYS
Also Koyuki never capitalized on Maho saying he could do anything he wanted to her.
I enjoyed Beck, but the only people who talk about it are those who exclusively watched the dub; which I found missed the entire point of the show, since they dubbed everything 1:1 and sung the songs in perfect English.
And it's straight up criminal that this series didn't get a series of OVA to cover the American tour properly, much less the post-anime stuff that the manga covers. I can understand with all the music/artist references, but still.
Yeah but the songs are MUCH more enjoyable in dub especially Slip Out
We need a Beck S2
GENTLY IN THE NIGHT OF ONE FINE DAY

Even with the Engrish, the vocalist in the original gave you the impression that they were gradually getting better at singing/playing together, which was sort of the point of the show.
Having them sing perfectly, right off the bat, kills the immersion, though, when you go from reading the manga to watching the anime, practically none of the songs with the exception "Baby Star" really live up their hype, when sound is added. It's especially jarring with Koyuki; who's supposed to have this amazing singing voice.
>Greg Ayres voices the MC
honestly how the fuck could anyone stomach the dub?
man why it so fucking hard to have a proper musician's show? i got hype when i saw given e1 just to search for the manga and finding out it was nothing but faggot shit
>That moment when the band gets back together for IVE GOT A FEELING, no, not before the song but meanwhile
This was pure kino.
this show gay, except the Q U A L I T Y
is this the show where they kungfu fight r&b and heavy metal gangs?
be honest OP, are you under the age of 16?
It definitely ended at a weird spot and should've kept going.
BECK inspired a passion for music in me. Before BECK I didn't really pay much attention, listened to one or two bands and random spatterings of stuff. I never took much of interest and my parents never pushed music on me. It's a series that changed my life.
I saw this show almost a decade ago and it got me to explore music beyond anime/ vida ost, I got hard-core into The Beatles and even picked up playing the guitar.
Thanks for reading my blog.
ON MY WAY
The entire greatful sounds episodes are so fucking good and one of the few times that made me cry in anime.
Sub or dub? I watch subs 99.9% of the time only exception for me is bebop, dandy or baccano. But I heard the sub for this is super cringey
I WAS BORN TO HIT AN AMERICAN
Bill & Ted is better
Sub.
