I fucking hate including it in these kinds of discussions or starting shitty slap fights but Gash bell is the best shonen I've read. If I were to describe it it would sound generic and uninteresting but the manga really pulls off everything amazingly. The first few dozen chapters are set up that comes together later.

I wouldn't call Kimetsu irrelevant, the anime really helped.

Absolutely. Especially in the anime because Hunter Exam is one of the slowest arcs and 2011 is only adapting 2 chapters per episode.

Yorkshin is the best part of 99 and 2011 and it starts in the mid 40s, I think.

It clicked for me in episode 32 (If you talking about 2011 anime)
arc afters Heavens Arena and everything that comes after is fantastic

Yeah, i started watching HxH 4-5 months ago after hearing a lot of really good stuff about this and wasn't sure how is that possible because at first glance it looks like typical shonen shit, watched 20 episodes and dropped for 3 days because it wasn't too impressive, then decided to give it another shot and holy shit i was blown the fuck out. Finished whole thing in 2 weeks and now it's my favorite anime
