this only makes it more shit.
Yea Forums already liked it.
Only shitposters didn't.
Japan has notoriously shit taste
There's nothing to admit, we already liked the show.
Gridman was outstanding.
>needing awards to validate your opinions
Pathetic.
It was, we just can't talk about it without summoning him.
It’s a cursed show that summons the butcher of Yea Forums
I liked it more the second time I watched it.
Just so you know I've been a Gridmanon since day 1. Just putting it out there so I don't seem like a fake fan when everyone starts saying it's good. I gave it a 10/10 as soon as it finished airing.
Ruined by yuri autists
whatever you say, !Akemi
I was hyping the show as the long awaited Amemiya not-meme directorial debut while shitposters were calling it Kiznaiver 3.0.
Godlike toku segments and toku related characters.
Godawful highschoolers.
Alot of people said it was good right
from the start, freaking ack just kept ruining the thread for us.
Faggot opinion.
>everyone I don't like is !Akemi
I'm sorry that you suffer such a severe form of mental illness. Being a yurifag with a persecution complex probably has a draining effect on your mental well-being
It's not him, the original is dead or locked up.
>Turns out Franxx was the Kiznaiver
I think alot said that because of your pic. Everyone thought that it would have a big cast of characters. Hell, its actually the reason i put it off for awhile till ep 3 because alot of people kept mentioning the transformers design. I had to check that out.
This is why the thread always suck, you fuckers cant even recognise how ack types. This is not him, like at all
FranXX was the Kiznaiver 2.0, that was the joke.
I know, I was trying to summon the real one. If the OP was Yuuta x Rikka he probably would be here by now
If the OP was Yuuta x Rikka, Akemi was here from the start.
Yuri always wins.
>Hoped for toku
>Got autistic high schoolers
Which show was more sucessful for trigger? Promare or Gridman.
Yeah truly a good straight canon harem show
This.
Only Pyroanusfags don't like it
Probably Promare because they own the IP.
Trigger can't stop winning.
i mean as a thigh man, i loved it
That's not partially owned by XFLAG?
Yuri*
What really weirds me out about this series is that Akane wasn't a romantic interest. I mean, she's fucking hot, and she has otaku hobbies. That's a huge draw. In contrast, Rikka's a lot more boring.
I add that the story has one thing I've never been able to grasp: How do you get bored of being God?
/u/ always wins
Hilarious how this cherry picked Twitter post leaves out all the abomination to win this joke award. It even lies about Yamato and isn't even man enough to mention that it was the shit tier movie that received the award. Embarrassing.
You already posted this, most of those are good.
If anything gridman isn't good enough for that list.
A shame it needed another 2-3 episodes to be truly great though.
It was a decent show overshadowed by waifuwar faggotry
Almost all of these are fantastic, and the others I haven't watched.
I've always enjoyed Gridman, it was my favorite show from last year.
What the fuck were they smoking in 2013?
The trailers made it look more of a comfy fun sunday morning show like the original. While I liked the series, I still wish to get that kind of anime.
Never watched this show because I hate the character designs. The original toku looks awesome though.
Akane x Rikka made it good.
Everything about this show was great. The threads were great too besides you know who and shipperfags. The theories, based /m/ autists that pointed out the homages to Transformers and other neat stuff, Redman posters, cool anons that watched the original Gridman and informing us on the parallels, THIGHS, the wild ride that was Episode 9 and onwards, and of course BABY DAN DAN. It was good fun and a great show. Trigger really did save anime.
I remember dismissing Gridman long before it came out but I actually really enjoyed it. Probably the only Trigger show that I can fully recommend, and one of my favourites in recent years. I've never really heard of this award though, is it that prestigious?
It's fantastic. The threads were generally terrible because of you know who.
it was kino and i'm glad the slow start and CGI pleb filtered the mongrels.
The OP was pretty dope.
CGI isn't a pleb filter. Anyone with taste knows that CGI in anime is shit under all circumstances.
Anus of the kyo BTFO
Serious question: How good is Bodacious Space Pirates? How did it on that list?
When the girls did pirating by themselves were great, but most of the show was focused on the boring "real" pirates that were just scam artists. At the end the show hinted at some really cool shit and then it was over, dunno if the movie picked up that plot.
It was AOTY
I don't really see the problem here. Most of those shows are at least good, if not great.
Plus, I can appreciate that they're not too snooty to exempt children's shows like Dekaranger and Ultraman Tiga.
It was alright, but i wouldn't say it was anywhere near the truly great anime, like those on this list.
Reminder to go outside every once in a while.
The feet pics were pretty good
It was pretty good. Not upset, it looked great.
It was fantastic and I found my first and only waifu.
That fucking autistic shipper wasn't even there since the start and only come out on every thread after the series ended. He probably speed watched it right after being "told" that it has a yuri end.
I miss the airing threads so much, from Monday when the preview pics dropped and people coming up with theories about the episodes, and just talking about the episodes without shit falling apart, the stitches and webms being posted after the episodes, it was just such a good time
Good threads + an amazing show really is a good combination
The only threads that were fine was the weekly episode threads. Anytime anyone made a thread regarding the show days after an episode aired, someone would bait him and immediately the thread would get derailed. It got really fucking bad after the show ended. You literally could have no post-air discussion without the threads getting fucked because a few anons thought it would be funny to make him sperg out, even though he's been on this board for years and we've all had our laughs already.
No, not "someone", you are the only person who thinks your boogiman is real. And you are the only person who thinks you're "baiting". Because you are insane the concept of you failing literally doesn't exist in your head. So the idea that you fail to bait people literally doesn't exist to you.
If everyone acted like you then why didn't people try to "bait" and "troll" other people who told off shitposters for the first ten years this site existed? Oh right, because you're the only person who acts like this.
And of course, like always, you will refuse to address the points about how there is ten years worth of proof that shows no one acts like you.
And to add to that.
You try to pretend that everyone thinks telling you to stop shitposting, which is something normal, is somehow "sperging". You really stand out when you spam that word so much. Because it's pure reddit.
The only reason I hate it is because of adult doujin ban
>comfy fun sunday morning show like the original
user... why you hate Takeshi
Fuck you faggot Deka is great
Based
Miniskirt pirates is one of the worst shows of modern times.
Wait, people hate Gridman? It's easily one of Trigger's best shows, I thought this was obvious?
but it was popular and therefore bad
This award looks pretty patrician
Is this that same retarded award that a fucking Love Live crackfic won the best prize once?
user, I like Dekaranger. Please read more carefully before getting mad.
Okay, so sequel when
Yea Forums always liked it. Only assblasted yuri haters shit on it.
>youtube.com
It was great desu
Fucking kino
>50th awards
>only list a small handful of anime that make it seem more prestigious
en.wikipedia.org
The award is a joke.
>they better play baby dan dan
>they do it
Moments like this made me wish I watched the original. It was rad, but it probably would've been even cooler if I had.
>great animation
>mecha
>good narrative structure
>yuri
You would have to be a turbo-faggot to dislike the show.
It was alright, nothing offensive but also nothing great except for Rikka and picture related. It's not a show you absolutely need to watch.
Less of a joke than the Hugo
I will admit that.
Sorry bro I only saw "children's show" with Dekaranger thumbnail and got mad.
My bad.
Lucky Yuuta
Based.
This show was such fucking trash, it was probably the worst anime I watched that year. Then again, there was also DitF, so it's a tough call. Good to see the Japs can keep bandwagoned popularity going for so long.
Lots of people on Yea Forums hated it. Mainly because it was made by Trigger, and everything made by Trigger and KyoAni is bad for some reason.
People that dislike something based on the studio making it are usually what one would call shitposters.
>talking shit about Dekaranger
Gridman was my 2018 AOTY. The show is alright but nothing amazing. The characters development and some of the writing is what brings it down but is good for what it is. Just wish Akane's fall into madness and redemption was done more convincingly
Is Gridman the most soulful anime?
Winning awards doesn't make anything good
>Ultraman Twigs
Didn't that just come out a few weeks ago?
*Taiga
It wasn't bad, especially by trigger's low standards, but it was overshadowed by ditf. It's hard to give a shit about it when there was a much better mech anime by the same studio in the same year.
It was far better than Ditf.
Akane was great.
Anti was okay.
The rest of the cast are meh, exceptionally the main trio.
They barely even feel like friends,
Yuta's crush is pointless and goes nowhere.
>Yuta's crush is pointless and goes nowhere.
It's there to explain why Gridman chose Yuta.
Is it on Netflix yet?
Tiga is not Taiga bro
Why would it be on Netflix at all? I thought CR had the licence.
>AOTY
>The show is alright but nothing amazing
Then why the fuck is it your AOTY.
That's how bad last year was.
That is the worst part of the show.
>Imao let me just hijack the body of the only guy in the world who doesn't care about Akane to a mission to save Akane against his will.
Yuta was a total tool.
These days I only watch anime that's available on Netflix.
idgi
All those anime that won it were much much much more legendary. Kinda sad what anime is putting out nowdays that' considered "equal"
At least 12 titles on this image are fucking great, and I say 12 because I haven't seen all of them.
Mouretsu Pirates was good, deal with it
It's fine because Gridman gave Yuta the heroic spirit to want to save everyone. He just needed to be able to fight against Akane.
"Yuta" is a non-character who have less than 30 second screen time.
He won't even remember a thing about the journey.
I bet he will get cucked by Utsumi in the future.
Consider how close Rikka and Utsumi became at the end of the voice drama + their shared experience and mutual love towards Akane.
The show BTFO Yuta self-inserter shipperfags so hard it is almost funny.
>He won't even remember a thing about the journey.
He said something about it all being engraved in his heart. Who cares
>Mouretsu
>They barely even feel like friends,
Only Utsumi and Yuta was really friends and it wasn't even Yuta during the show itself.
It's not only for anime. It is also movies and LA TV.
