While there seems quite high potential of added joy if you watch/read F/Z without knowing anything about Fate I have no doubts it pales in comparison to what reading F/SN without knowing anything about Fate is like due to various layers of reason. I'm not merely stating this for some gatekeeping, purity or superiority reasons. I genuinely think that if don't start with the original VN, then you are robbing yourself of potential of an amazing experience and that you can probably never understand the full extent of its appeal and niceness and while I understand that most of these posts are in mere jest and general shitposts it doesn't change my opinion that what I'm trying to convey bears repeating.

Started with DEEN anime + movie back in like 2008, then the VN + a little of Fate/hollow ataraxia and Tsukihime then F/Z anime.

I've watched at least a little of all other fate series but haven't finished any of them besides Carnival Phantasm, really should get around to doing that since they all have good production quality but feels like they don't have much to do with the original story. El-Melloi case files is great so far though, really enjoying it!
