HaCha's average animation quality could improve if they cut the right episodes. And since Glitter Force is always a complete rewrite, they could do justice to a certain rightful winner who was robbed originally.

As for GoPri, there's really nowhere for GoPri to go but up. I have to imagine Glitter Force Princesses would be a way better show than HaruHaru Precure almost by default.

They cut almost every scene in which Rikka acts gay, and wrote completely new dialogue for the ones they kept. The entire Happy Prince and Swallow thing is gone, not a single mention.
They also cut out almost all references to Makoto's crush on the Princess, and changed most of Mana's lines where she fangirls over Makoto so instead of calling her cute or whatever she's just excited to meet someone famous.
I don't even remember if Aguri's gay friend is in the show; if she is, I don't think she has a name.
But on the plus side, Regina is still a tiny bit gay for Mana and they cut our Daisuke 2.0 almost entirely, including altering a few lines so they no longer reference the movie.

And that's it. Hugotto is great except the ending. It wasn't bad, just not at same level as most of the season. Like they had to fit it in what supposed to be in precure ending and just cut everything else.
It's kind of "unprecure" that team have parted forever and they will never see each other again. Good thing is that everything are good everywhere, even Cure Tomorrow managed to do her thing somehow. But I think it would be better if Hugotto had open ending of some sort.

Yes. Maybe even the best. Heartcatch is the only other season nearly as good. I can't tell if I'm accurately rating either of them based on nostalgia and recently airing bias but I'm thinking Hugtto might be the best season yet. The crossover episodes felt to me like Toei intended it to be as well. I found it interesting that there was a 15th anniversary at all. Why not wait until 20? Was 10 really so underwhelming? I think maybe yeah, because even though it says congrats for ten years at the beginning of more than half of the episodes, it still doesn't really feel like they put much special effort into production. I think they did actually, especially with careful selection of great singers for the first idol henshin/finisher ever and with the romance themes being so direct and open allowing for some really cute and funny canon moments. But it wasn't super overt and the episode introductions felt really tagged on. You could be forgiven for not even realizing HaCha was an anniversary season at all.
With Hugtto it was the opposite. It's officially a 15th anniversary season, but the series doesn't make nearly as much of an overt effort in telling you that. Instead they just actually put a lot more effort in, hire an A list director, go all out with animation directors on some earlier episodes, write a really intriguing plot fora change, have a special ending sung by a VA with a cult following, and those crossover episodes and that movie. It felt like a real attempt at servicing the fans, all of them, by delivering a very high quality season.

Also it's interesting that SS got a higher viewer percentage but much lower toy sales then GoGo. Did GoGo just have kick ass toys?

Even the fairies -- I remember the fact that they turn into the communes, of course, but I couldn't tell you what the commune form looks like.

Yeah there really wasn't a lot, probably a symptom of there being only two girls. I bet if we had Futari's sales numbers it would look similar. SS's poor sales might have been in influencing factor on why we had 5(6) cures in Yes. You go from 2 toys whenever they get their initial stuff and upgrades to 5(6).

Maho did the civilian part amazingly. The girls are really cute and really feel like best friends. The Villains and fighting however are really weak. The rotation of "Big Bad" was relentless.

I kinda liked Yamoh but that's just because it was fun to watch him act like a hobo hanging out with his scarecrow in the mid point. Otherwise yeah they were by far the weakest part of the show. I think its strong points (namely the relationship the three girls had) made up for it personally but I can see why others would disagree.

Futari Wa was a pop culture phenomenon. Every girl, hell every kid, in any given kindergarten knew about it for those two years, it was huge.
After a gradual settling down with progressive seasons, Heartcatch suddenly garnered a ton of attention among anime nerds for its tightly animated action, Saint Seiya aesthetic, and Nana being perhaps the single biggest star to grace the show up until that point. It was huge that year, made a ton of money in merch because of all the adult fans, but the show had always been (off-and-on) one of the popular kiddie shows for girls the whole time.
Two years later, Smile was big-friend-popular with similar ripples, only not nearly as much as HC. It's a little insane how much R-18 fan art there is of it.
It's been quieter since then with slowly declining revenues, noticeably lower ratings and a much lower popularity profile, but Precure is a fixture of kids shows and pretty much the show to beat in order to be considered popular with that demographic, even if it hasn't been #1 in ages. It's just been consistently present and many, many young girls grew up watching it (until they were shamed out of it because "it's a kids show") and there's still a ton of nostalgia about it. Last year's Hugtto probably did a bit better than usual because of it, and even though the ratings were about the same (TV's just a different thing now) movie and merch revenues were up, so something happened there for sure.

Maho's fights were usually easy for them. At the start Wuby/Dia defeated the MotW wit ease later Felice just curbstomped them and at the end it was "Press X to win" tier. Generals were beated easily too and the next batch of baddies were bland aside from the semen demon.
Fuck off both of you, I'd say Doki was the blandest of all, but that's just a biased opinion.

if there is a decline instead of a plateau I doubt it's anything toei is worked up over. I'm pretty sure the only one of the three that's in any real trouble is sentai since its toy sales are in the gutter (last I heard LuPat was the worst performing season this century) and it's probably just losing mindspace with kids to rider in general.
