The first arc has an oppai loli goddess throw herself at him. He shows zero interest in her for the entire series, but she never acts like a girl would and fuck off.

So many adventurers worked as hard or even harder than Bell, yet they didnt get any handouts at all. Meanwhile Bell makes level 2 in a year or something, most of which was spent soloing the easiest floors.

Aiz in comparison worked insanely hard and went with higher level parties to deeper floors, pushing herself to the point where she almost collasped. So she leveled up to level 2 pretty fast, which makes sense.

Hestia is a young goddess. She had only came down from heaven a little while before the series starts. Bell is her first child and as we see in various other gods, they do have unhealthy attachments to certain mortals.

Lilli was shocked about his kindness. That still wasn’t enough, she betrayed him and left him for dead, after stealing his Hestia Knife. She only fell for him because he rescued her from the ants. Bell never gave up on Lilli which made her fall for him.

Aiz likes Bell because he’s goofy like her. Plus they share similar backgrounds as well as similar goals. She has more fun training him than she does with non-dungeon exploring so that’s something that sparks an interest in her with him.

The only other female that throws herself at Bell would be Sys. However, there’s something off with Sys. If anything she could actually be Freya in disguise. Which in that case, Freya & other gods are thrill seekers. They want something entertaining, Bell is very entertaining to watch.

Bell got to level 2 with a cheat. It was most likely given to him by Zeus. It also makes him worthy of being a protagonist. Imagine if he didn’t have that cheat. He would still be at level 1 grinding away at same mobs.

I'm just confused over who this dog eared archer girl is. I know she helped Bell when he was under attack from the Apollo familia, but missed the explanation of who she is and don't recall her from the previous season.

We've literally not once seen any instance of a demigod or anyone mentioning the possibility of having children with gods even though multiple characters are in love with gods.

Anyway, Bell's Realis Freese didn't first appear until after he met Ais, so it's not a bloodline skill.

They were also connected before: Take is Hestia's co-worker and a poorfag like her, she learned the dogeza from him (Hestia kneeling before Hephaistos).
Mikoto became level 2 before Bell and they were named during the same denatus, so they did fight for good names for their children (Bell got "Little Rookie", a normal one thanks to Freya, but Mikoto got "Eternal + Shadow").

Naaza was a former level 2 adventurer, lost her arm, her god did order an artificial one for her and incurred a huge debt, all other family members left, but she can't dungeon crawl anymore due to PTSD, so she had to learn potion making, but since they can't get cheap materials anymore and have a huge debt, they fell from a well doing familia to Hestia-level of poorfags.

Honestly, it starts being ridiculous that the main story is supposed to ignore some pretty big events and Bell's involvement with Loki Familia.

Overlord kind of sucks for another reason, however. Just as Danmachi has the 'friendship, cheat skills and willpower solve problems' issue, Overlord has the 'I am so GOD DAMN POWERFUL nothing can meaningfully challenge me' thing. I guess we're doomed to bitch about things, either way.

Danmachi is a light-hearted story, so the "power of friendship" lies at its foundation and that's totally fine - that's what readers wants anyway.

Overlords is a different kind of story. As such, it has its own flavour and what comes with it - which is also fine, since that's what readers want.

No. The name symbolises Bell's original naive attitude, that he was thinking of dumb things like picking up girls or having a harem, he wasn't taking the dungeon seriously.

It's understandable of course, but the lesson he learns right from the start is that he was an idiot, he needs to focus on what's infront of him, and to get a lot stronger instead of daydreaming like that. Lillie and Haruhime owe everything to Bell, and adore him because of his actions towards them. Remembering how he saved her is literally what lets Lillie survive the Soma drink.

Ryu is complicated. She doesn't love Bell, or at least, she's trying not to. But she's in a messed up situation - she resents how aloof/arrogant Elves are, yet still can't bring herself to let anyone touch her. The only people's touch she's ever not rejected were the girl from her Familia, Syr, and now Bell. He keeps making her fall harder and harder for her, but she wants him to be with Syr. She'll probably wind up aiming for a threesome.

Aisha just thinks he's cute and wants to fuck him. This is actually an instance of the author writing himself into a corner, since there was literally no reason for them not to have sex on the 21st floor, she just stopped pressing for it and left him. Woulda been strange for Bell to have his first time in the dungeon with a prostitute though.

Hestia is useful because she's honest, good natured, and loyal. She and Bell are beacons of heroism and moral virtue that attract gallant warriors to their cause.
