Why do people keep calling Lina-chan a bully? Does this look like the face of a bully to you?

You know, the highly stylized 1990s look has this kind of momentum to all the lines like whoever was drawing kind of like they were letting their pen or whatever really carry speed. Kind of like a really swoopy signature? Am I making sense? Almost like all the lines were made with a flick of the wrist.

Spot the protagonist.

Truly, they don't make axe-grinding, blood-seeking, and nuke-you-in-the-face psychopath MCs like they used to. Or maybe Lina is just in a tier of her own.

To perfect for modern times.

Should I watch Slayers?

WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO SHIPS THEM

It was a different time, back then you could have protagonists like Dark Schneider, Lina was mild in comparison.

I get it, it's supposed to have a wild side due to the comedy aspect as well.

Yes, great story
Great characters
fun Frmalr

Ok let me start that again
Good MC as well, she is empowering but not overbearing in a sense that she is a woman. She is a genius in magic and history and her goofy sidekick helps keep her grounded.

The first few seasons are great, but after that it kind of loses steam. Give it a go and see how you feel about it, but it's definitely worth a shot.

Man she sticks out

She's from a completely different era from the others, it's not really surprising. You could take any character design from the 90s or earlier and have the same clash.

The others all blend into a pastel mass behind Lina. It's like they're wallpaper.

I mean, the lighting doesn't help, but you're not wrong.

True

You can see now why some people are tired of the current anime style. They all look the same and are paper thin yet its the most cartoony one that pops out the most. I think this is Irony.

I'm having a hard time getting through Try. It feels like the writers forgot this is a comedy show. Everything is drama and genocide and boring conversations between throwaway characters. And a furry reenactment of Shane?

I really just want to go back and rewatch the first two seasons but I'll soldier on.

Spot the protagonist.

Yes, I'd recommend you watch the first two seasons and the movies.

The blonde? I honestly dont know in this one, I have seen so many 90s anime women who fit the MC bill here.

I think him having a family like that at all was the joke but it didnt feel like it was.

Did anyone else save everything they could from yesterday? I only managed to get one artbook and a couple other random things ;_;

Lina Inverse is a better representative of the average D&D player character than anyone before or since.

What kind of panties does Lina wear?

confirmed for none

You're half right.

She wears yellow panties on the outside like classic superheroes.

Because every other Lina ship is infinitely more interesting.

Its a yellow cloth, not panties. The red pants/tights are crotchless. Therefore, no panties.

Lina appears to be a bit cold in this pic.

>crotchless
So, if she wants to take a piss, she only have to remove the yellow cloth, then?

Since it's yellow she doesn't necessarily need to remove that either.

But Lina is a commoner in a pre-industrial society, meaning that she only drinks water; thus her piss should be very clear.

They literally were. Linework was done with inking pens like liners and G pens. I believe nips like swift pen usage and take pride in it when it is quick.

Yes. Yes it does.

blonde and brown

She spends the majority of her time on getting more money, and she spends the majority of her money on food and drink though.

But the only other drink available to people of that time is juice and alcohol. We never see Lina drinking either.

Should I finish Try? I don't remember much of it so maybe I should re-watching from the beginning?

Doesn't she go drinking with the titty monster in the movies?

I know. I really like it desu ne. I wish we saw a little bit more of it. Maybe not 100%, but some.
