Shonen vs seinen is entirely about the magazine it's published in. A horse doesn't become a chicken by being raised by chickens but these are two different things. There are manga that have moved from shonen to seinen magazines and yes, by virtue of being moved they become seinen. Jojo for instance. Or Dorohedoro's last several chapters being serialized in a shonen magazine. But at the same time the distinction isn't as large as people are led to believe by the existence of manga like Berserk.

We've got all the poses, the proclamations of willpower and intent, ideologies clashing, etc.
