The issue is that if there is a Prison Break, AfO would have to take back the spotlight as a villain, which seems unlikely given all the build up Shiggy just got. He would go from mastering Gigantomachia to being another AfO crony.

Last arc we learned that Deku won't be able to use his new Quirks until he nearly masters SuperStrength.
There is the whole DeQuirking bullet mass production subplot.
And the new Nomu generation that was teased just a bit ago.
And the Hawks subplot, too.
At the very least, you need a Villains vs Heroes arc where Villains win, followed by a Time Skip, followed by another Villains vs Heroes where heroes win before we can even discuss a Prison Break.
And I doubt that it would be so straight away, so at least 4 arcs in between would have to exist.

The chapter description was retarded and seemed like Hori just shat the bed again like with Yakuza, but Hori did a pretty good job executing it to build-up hype for Shiggy. The final pages implying that Giga COULD be attacking Shigaraki, even if it seems unlikely, while also stating that Shiggy's Quirk was actually restrained so far create quite a bit of tension too. It is a bit of a coin toss to guess what will exactly happen next. I mean, we all know ReDestro will lose, but Giga's attack still serves aa a wildcard.
And then, there were some nuanced character pieces like AfO holding the Umbrella for Ujiko, which were cool.
Overall, it is looking like this arc might be the best thing Hori has ever written, so it is hard to give him shit.
Now, I doubt Hori will ever be able to live up to this, so I'll definitely go back to shitposting in the future.
