The death of sadpanda is an attack on the freedom of internet. As bad as kyoani burning down is, you and I know that losing neokyoani isn't as bad as losing the entire doujinshi library on the internet. Nothing of value is lost with swimgay, gaycher or VEGetables gone.

The difference between real anime fans & Kyoaniwaka is we can recognize a creator's unique style through their work. While you plebeians would ignorantly credit everything in Kannagi to Yamakan while ignoring the many other directors who also worked on the show, I would immediately recognize the best cut of the anime was in Tsuchiya's signature style. I'm already anticipated the worst, but it still hurts me, damn.
He was good at creating situations, but only after the setting has been created, case the points to Disappearance, post-yamakan Lucky Stars, FMP s2+fumoffu, and mid-end Hyouka. Early Hyouka was boring as fuck, but later on it was good. That's because Takemoto couldn't create the settings well compared to Ishihara, so he needed longer time to make the watchers like the characters (Ishihara on other hand, bad at what Takemoto could do. Look at how mess Chuu2 s2 was). However after you get to know the characters, Hyouka became enjoyable to watch.
KyoAni anime are great because of the characters and their interactions more than anything after all. Takemoto was there to bring the story on further level. The lost of Takemoto would make the balance between plot and character interactions in their next anime bad. They need to find a replacement for him, but I bet it's so difficult to do so.

I started downloading in 2002/3 and yet Haruhi is an important part of my early era of anime faggotry. It might not be that special if it aired nowadays but it revolutioned anime back then and confronted me with a ton ideas I never witnessed before, just like NGE, and, for me personally, .hack//sign. These three series were what changed my attitude towards anime from just watching them casually like live acting shit too to watching them mainly and prefering them over any other type of media save for books and manga maybe.

I watched Haruhi at the same point in time, and I remember it being the first anime show I actively sought out. Watching those low quality rips of Haruhi on Youtube when I was young was probably the catalyst for my long-term interest in anime as a whole.

I just can't gt over how fast the fire consumed the building and killed everyone. Everyone had literally half a minute or less to jump out of the windows/leave the building before the toxic fumes knocked them out. I dont understand, why is it the government's fault? It was KyoAni that didnt have a fire exit. It was KyoAni that knew fully well the pros and cons of having no fire exits. Why blame the building code? There are probably a lot of buildings in Kyoto with a fire exit, why didnt they build one? The law doesnt need to tell them to have extra precautions. The lack of fire exit is the chief cause of the employees deaths, and some becaise of the locked door in the roof.

The employees have a cause of action and must sue accordingly.
