On 8, we'd go to whatever board looked biggest, which would be the biggest on the site due to the size of Yea Forums's traffic, it would probably crash the servers and be chaotic like in the old days, but it would work out fine in the end and eventually something would get taken care of. Hell, we might even stay on 8 if we displaced the current locals thoroughly enough, which wouldn't be hard.

On reddit, we'd be stuck using usernames and reddit software, and reddit boards which wouldn't be findable without Yea Forums, and only utter fags would be eager to go there in the first place. Those sorts of people would probably end up making loads of different boards and in many cases just staying there.

well actually, and i find this quite interesting, this next generation is less tech competent than the last one -- or, in other words, the last generation actually had to learn how to use a computer to get to the net, and a significant portion of them did learn.

When is dinner going to be, where is it going to be? Does everyone of the family have to attend? Or maybe dinner does not even happen within the context of families, but instead with fellow comrades, students, workers, monks?
Are there certain rituals to follow? Does the elder or another high-status attendee get to eat first? Does a toast to the dead or the party, or maybe a vow of revenge like in Albania need to be made? Are you deemed important enough for you deserve having someone taste your meal for poisons? Can you watch TV or listen to music while eating? Are you allowed to flip the table and start a fistfight for honour?

All human interaction is social and social interaction happens within the confines of institutions: rules, values and beliefs you may or may not share with others. Whether they apply and how important they are, especially in relation to other rules, values and beliefs, is a political issue that is always present, even if almost never stated - because there tend to be or is at least imagined to be a consensus for the ones deemed most relevant in the group.

From where? Every time I've found a good place to download manga it's always gone soon after. I use Madokami now, but it is complete garbage for anything on-going and I can't even upload content to make it better. It'd be a huge deal for someone in a Western society to suddenly deviate from that norm, unless you're part of a subgroup which doesn't have that norm, like honour cultures like the mafia where it'd be okay or even required for someone to punch someone else for a slight.

But memes are one of the main methods of influencing large groups of people these days. Consider the political memes that remove all nuance about issues, make opposing views hard to even discus due to the amount of bad/completely inaccurate information that people have consumed via memes, and even try to normalize the idea of violence against those with opposing views.

If you are thinking of the brigades you see from groups who aren't part of another community trying to influence that community, those still depend heavily on the immediate popularity of taking part in a brigade on a specific topic or are greatly limited by cost. AI spambots would reduce the cost of influencing communities in this manner enough that needing to worry about trying to grow brigades organically would mostly cease to be necessary.
