The whole point of him was that Sasuke is just a victim. He's edgy but doesn't consider himself cool, he literally is just mindbroken over what his brother did and became anti-social. He admitted he was almost always afraid and that manifested when he had to fight Orochimaru(I think he was shaking during the fight with Haku as well). The rest is just shounen being shounen, can't do anything about that.
Sasuke would have been a lot better as a new villain introduced later on in the series, perhaps as an Atkutski or another trainee of Oro. The Uchiha plot could be pinned to Itachi and Madara only.

The re animation jutsu would also never happen and I would focus more on the jinjuriki storyline right after recovering Gaara who would also be dead. Killer Bee wouldn’t exist either. Naruto wouldn’t meet his parent and the nine tailed fox or the beasts wouldn’t be turned into stuffed animals (wimps) the story is just a whole lot of potential thrown in the wind.

She's not as physically strong as Tsunade, who actually has muscle strength for her punches, not building chakra in her fist.
She's not as good in taijutsu as Tsunade, who is actually a taijutsu master (mistress?). She trained to dodge and sometimes punch stuff. And even then there was that moment in War/Juubi Arcs when Kakashi had to pull this dodge specialist away from wood spike from Juubi.
Even when she finally got to use Byakugo, she immediately failed to land a hit on Madara, because she charged like an idiot. At least Tsunade used her brain alongside brawn.
I'll repeat: without summons, Sakura can't beat Hinata in their War Arc skills.

Why wouldn't this cause him to re-evaluate the plan? He's a complete joke of a leader. Then later when it's just Kakashi and Rin the same shit happens. Where is this guy? He can teleport so there is no excuse. Hell why didn't he teach flying thundergod to Kakashi? Kakashi was a genius who copied rasengan on his own before he became the copy ninja and invented chidori himself to have a raiton move by the time he was 12. If those fodder jounin during the war can do it to teleport Mei to the Madara fight, Kakashi could definitely do it. It's a miracle Kakashi turned out the way he did with Minato as his team leader. Although it's obvious Kakashi is shaped by and learned more from his friends than his shitty sensei. It's also a miracle Naruto turned out all right in the end too.

Nagato was a victim of War and Naruto had the goal of solving it - he wanted to end War and the Shinobi system. Naruto was set up to be at the forefront of a new generation that would solve the problems of the old.
Pain fits far better than Madara did, Madara came out of nowhere with no connection to any of the characters other than a distant one to Sasuke (who never cared anyhow). Pain had the connection of being created by Konoha's actions, being taught by Jiraiya, and being at the head of the whole Jinchurriki plot. He had years behind him of build-up.
Madara had to be connected to the overall story in reverse rather than being part of it all along.
Nagato was treated as a God in the story, but then it was revealed that he only stood out because the entire world was somehow weaker than it once was. Madara's great accomplishment in the plot beforehand was carving a canyon when fighting against the other strongest man in the world.

He did not want to end war. In real life mutually assured destruction prevents large scale war but he specifically expected everyone to actually use the nukes repeatedly. He just wanted to even out the suffering since he felt that some nations suffered disproportionately. Ultimately he just wanted a cycle of catastrophic nuclear war followed by peace which is a marginal improvement over the existing cycle of shinobi world war followed by peace.

I feel Obito fit better as a final boss than Nagato/Pain. His existence was foreshadowed all the way back in Part 1. He was connected to Kakashi and Naruto's dad. He was the reason why Kakashi puts his comrades over a mission and those ideals were passed onto Naruto. Obito was a lot like Naruto when he was younger, so there was obviously parallels going on.
Not only was he a Dark Naruto, he also drove almost everything that happened in the series, good and bad; As the final boss, it would be ironic that the ideals he used to carry that was soon held by Kakashi and passed on to the MC would lead to his defeat. Full circle.
I wonder if Pain's portrale was completely different (Akatsuki was supposed to be filled with mostly monsters after all) or Kishimoto was going to make the leader Minato, but backtracked when everyone and their mother started calling it. Or maybe the leader was supposed to be Obito without the Tobi business.
Obito could have worked, with the justification that he just worked hard enough to become the strongest - like Guy and Lee.
But how it went down in canon was probably the worst way for it to have gone down. Obito being some kind of super-prodigy and the MS being probably the worst Plot Device in the series.
I disliked how he came to be linked to everything, it diminished Nagato extremely with a kid half his age manipulating him. And Minato being pushed by a 15 y/o.
How you'd properly link Obito to the Kyuubi attack and not have it fuck everything up I don't know, it might not be possible.

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal user can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.
However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.
Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Yea Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.
He wasn't a prodigy though. He did work hard, he was a screw up at the academy and trained every day until his fireball jutsu was better than Sasuke's was at a younger age. He passed the chuunin exams with no Sharingan at a younger age than any of Naruto's generation. Even when he finally gets his Mangekyou Sharingan it doesn't even give him constant asspulls like every other person with it, he gets one ability that has to be used tactically. Beyond that the only thing he had was god tier stamina which may be partly because of Hashirama DNA but I can also accept is just because he trained every day despite being without talent.

People still like Naruto because Part 1 and early Part 2 are fantastic stories. Everyone knows that the story was flawed and it went to shit in the War Arc, but the potential for something great was built up and people lament the failure of the Series.
His talk no jutsu is unironically the only one that made sense because of how clearly he was proto-Naruto and passed his original ideals on to Naruto via Kakashi like you said. There needed to be another boss for him to help them defeat, but it did not need to be an alien out of nowhere. I think the entire ending might have been better received if it didn't have an entire year of pointless war chapters. There didn't even need to be a war it has no plot developments or character developments in the first 50 chapters.
Him standing his ground against Minato made sense since he was Minato's students, so of course it's simple to think Obito knew how his abilities worked and memorized them.
The Nine-Tails attack seemed to be merely a kick-starter for the Uchiha clan's downfall, because everyone immediately blamed them for it.
Could have made sense since he, his team, and his family all got fucked by the village.
The TNJ on Obito was probably the best one because it was built up gradually for quite a while until he just gave up, everyone else just did full 180s after a single gay speech.
However, Obito had already done far too much evil shit for too long to be completely redeemed.
Pain could have been like the final boss in a standard sense like game, while Obito is the final boss in the “true ending” kind of way. In other words, Pain would be the enemy in the grand scheme of series, but Obito would be the last enemy to tie everything up.

Sasuke was the only reason shit happened in Part II. That, and the entire cast minus him was relegated to slurping Naruto by Part II.
He was described as a 'Late-Bloomer' in that he was a prodigy just like Sasuke and Itachi, but just took longer to get off the ground. This is the opposite of how Guy and Lee are described - that they are 'Geniuses of Hard-Work' they have no talent outside of being able to work harder than everyone else.
If Obito trained himself over the ~15 years until Shippuuden and came out as the strongest because of his hard work, rather than spending a couple of months with Madara and suddenly being on the level of the strongest of Jonin if not some Kage, when beforehand he was barely fit to be canon fodder. I would like the character more.
Then the issue with his age pops up, in that we are expected to believe a previously retarded teenager is manipulating events the world over. For example being in Kirigakure, Amegakure with the Akatsuki, and Konoha all at about the same time and manipulating skilled and powerful shinobi and leaders in each. It doesn't really make sense overall.
Kamui is its own bag of shit. Its part of the whole Part 2 power creep, being essentially invulnerability. To say nothing of the rest of the Sharingan bullshit the series had at the end.
Being Minato's student isn't such a great advantage that a 15 y/o kid should be able to match probably the strongest man in the world at the time.

I wouldn't say completely, but as much as anyone else. Kumo tries to kidnap Naruto's future mother and later tries to kidnap his future wife and causes Neji's father to die but they're allies with Konoha now. Suna assists in attacking Konoha, is indirectly involved in Sarutobi's assassination, and Gaara tried to kill Naruto's teammates but Naruto and Gaara are close friends now. Nagato kills Jiraiya just because but Naruto still defends him. Itachi killed the entire clan and Naruto defends him too. Since there had been three shinobi world wars already causing hundreds of thousands of deaths, everyone definitely did some real shady shit but Naruto ultimately sets his differences with them aside per Jiraiya's wishes that one day people will truly understand each other. Given that Kabuto and Madara doomed the entire world and he was critically important in cleaning that mess up at the cost of his life I think the good ends up outweighing the bad. It doesn't mean everything bad is forgiven though, and I don't think Naruto forgives all the bad stuff his other allies did either.

Is there any evidence that he did not? There are many flashbacks of him training as a child and the instant he wakes up when Madara tells him his body is so tenuously held together that moving could tear it and kill him he still starts training immediately. Why would he stop training after that? In his first fight with Minato he tries to take him head on and fails, but by Shippuden he starts playing much more defensively and strategically, not taking unnecessary fights. He obviously improved in those 15 years.

He wasn't. He had black zetsu and prior Madara planning handling things for the most part. Ame was partly fortuitous because Hanzo and Danzo killed Yahiko and Madara had already given Nagato the Rinnegan. He didn't do anything to force those events. At that point Pain required no manipulation, he merely executed orders. He did virtually nothing in Kiri, the blood mist stuff having been in place since he was a kid and Madara being the one that originally manipulated Yagura the fourth Mizukage. Pretty much all he does is convince Kisame to join on the basis that the world is full of lies, and Kisame was already convinced of this because of the comrade killing missions he was getting from that guy who ended up being a traitor and was therefore probably not executing Mizukage orders anyway. In Konoha he has full knowledge of things but still fails on multiple accounts. He doesn't secure the Kyuubi, and even though he knows exactly how flying thundergod works he still gets hit.

I can accept if you just don't like it. I like it a lot because it's a strategic ability with limitations not some retarded overpowered shit like inextinguishable black flames which he never had access to. His Sharingan has the least power creep because it did one thing, but he uses it extremely effectively which I like. But I agree that all the other Sharingan users got insanely out of hand.
