I mean, the 4th Fang seems like he was a badass dude. He at least didn't give off the impression that he'd be losing hard against Agito. As for the 6th Fang being as strong as Agito, could just be Himuro getting hyped by the momentum with which that guy had been winning victories. Plus, Sen would probably have been very close to beating Agito before he got his power up, or maybe even defeat him entirely (same as Gaolang), so it's not like there aren't comparable fighters. We could say Gaolang and Sen were Agito-level fighters, and if so, the 6th Fang could have been of a comparable level.

Wakatsuki was as powerful as him.
He may have been better than all of these and beaten all of them in a fight, but they were all on the same general level.

Remember how Gaolang made Agito feel like he was going to lose? It's not that fighters of a similar caliber to Agito don't exist. In fact, in that fight, Gaolang got critically injured when his fist accidentally struck Agito's elbow. Sen probably would have given Agito a similar run for his money and possibly even win had Agito not achieved a warrior's epiphany and powered up after that fight against Gaolang (Sen himself pretty much fights with the same principle of achieving a stronger state of mind from fighting strong opponents as well).

That's how manga like this works. You have someone who's been fighting for 30+ years, hardcore training. Then he gets beaten by someone stronger and is outclasses by dozens of people. Then you have a timeskip of 1-2 years and then he's stronger than everybody else.

Or you have someone who's outclassed by everybody and is total garbage. But then he "trains seriously" for 6 months, and now he's better than everybody else because he has "unlimited potential".

I know this is a jab at Koga but Sandrovich has handled him well, it's more of a case of him having the talent + the solid foundation from being in great physical condition from having fought for years + actually being taught right by competent teachers + and he's receptive to their advice. The only thing he's missing now is actual experience against high tier fighters which will train his on the fly decision making. But in order to actually last long enough in fights to learn anything he needed to build up other things first in his training.

Honestly, i watched Souten no Ken which was in full CGI as well and the fight scenes we good.

You seem to be missing what Agito learned from facing off against Gaolang and Beard; there are stronger people out there than he thought. See all those miscellaneous badasses Wakatsuki no-selled himself, including another guy with superman syndrome. See Julius who got airlifted over from Germany and who almost beat that Wakatsuki himself.

There are badasses that have yet to appear in the Kengan Association since they simply haven't chosen to appear there. Agito wasn't the apex (obviously, since Beard brought him down) and he was made to realize that through his experiences in the tournament.

You know, as weird as it may sound, I feel like Sen may have one of the best chances at winning against Gensai

The main difference between those two is the philosophy between their fights. In Baki is more about impossing your will over your enemy, that way even if you lost the physical match, you are still considered the winner. In Kengan is what Gensai was mentioning to Rihito, that is about experience and technique and the fights are decided by who wins the match.

Kure are high to top tier universally and I would assume Wu can stack up to that.
