Honestly Bebop is his only good anime. I recently watched all three main series for the first time (so there's no nostalgia involved) Bebop, Champloo, and Dandy, and honestly the latter two were actually pretty bad. The overarching plots are non-existent or very underwritten and they really far too much on gimmicks and humor without evolving the characters

>Durr it's bad because there's no overarching plots and I'm too autistic to appreciate individual episodes

retard

Entry level shit. Bet you haven't even watch Excel Saga or Dotto Koni-Chan.

What about this one?

Champloo is one of his only shows I love. Bebop ain't my cup of tea and the humour of Space Dandy is very hit or miss for me.

I can appreciate individual episodes if they were character focused like Bebop's often were.

Fucking bullshit

While I will agree that dandy is sorely missing character focused episodes, especially in the second season, only being able to like a stand alone episode if it evolves a character in some way is still pretty closeminded.

That's not Dandy at all, baby

t. plotfag

Then maybe I should've said if the standalone episode is interesting in any way? Because Dandy has several episodes that wear solely about le weird artstyle and aliens without anything interesting happening

Nabeshin is seriously overrated. Excel Saga and Dotto Koni-Chan are the only good anime he's directed, the rest are mediocre or just plain bad like Puni Puni Poemy.

>A fucking planet of plants having to come to terms with everyone losing their sapience
>A planet of fish people that get so caught up in themselves none of them can see the bigger picture and realize they're all about to die
>A god damn fucking disco planet
>Nothing interesting happening

Cowboy Bebop was the only one with a decent budget.
The others were made with a shoestring budget.

Even then, CB isn't that great. The production is great(animation, music, character designs) but the characters aren't really that great.
Spike is poor man's Lupin
Jet is generic Daddy figure
Faye is not much of a character and neither is Edward

And that exactly is the biggest problem with Dandy, much more than with Champloo or Bebop.
Weird bizarre shit happening is not inherently interesting. In fact

>LE COWBOY NINJAS IN SPACE RIDING SHARKS

Type writing is extremely reddit. There's a reason why the highest rated episode the the one where he simply goes on that journey with the little girl.

Excel Saga was directed by Shinichi Watanabe not by Shinichiro Watanabe.

You basically described Bebop

While I don't agree with the plot related stuff, Bebop did remain among my favourites upon rewatch compared with the other two. I watched Terror and Kids years ago, but I don't remember much about the former except for the music and the Engrish chick and the latter was an adaptation, so it doesn't really count. C&T doesn't even feel like it was directed by Watanabe, except for the eyecatch parts.

The interesting part is that they can have such a bizarre premise and still do something relatable with it, dipshit.
