What does Yea Forums think of this show? Was it popular way back then?
Mahoromatic
It's forgotten.
The peaks I loved as much as anything, but the tiddyteacher was kind of an annoying distraction and I vaguely remember other little problems though I can't remember what they were anymore.
The gainaxest of gainax endings
It's one of my favorites despite its flaws.
One of my favorite anime, had a great blend of atmospheres and endearing characters.
I want to buy all kind of upgrades to Mahoro.
Lets start with huge lactating breasts.
Then tight, really wet pussy with all kind of sensors and artificial muscles.
>Was it popular way back then?
It was one of the staples of early Yea Forums along with Azumanga Daioh and Stellvia. We still have banners for it even though nobody even remembers it.
>Stellvia
What?
Really?
Was it really popular here?
Yes. There's even two banners for it too.
I'd go for an extra-sensitive clitoris and additional sweat glands.
I see you are a man of a refined taste!
Mahoro needs to be trained in night service to her master!
Mahoro is a beautiful lady.
Some of the extra pages in the manga are so incredibly lewd.
>Some of the extra pages in the manga are so incredibly lewd.
I'm going to need example.
Beautiful series, however the last few episodes it went full GAINAX MODE.
Not to tease you, but the manga is worth reading for it. It's short, too.
The last few were really good, especially when Mahoro sacrificed herself.
Perfect ending right there, then the last episode happened.
>loosing such high-class fuckpuppet
It was a shitty ending!
Mahoro is the character that got me into maids.
I agree that Mahoro is unbearably sexy, but please try to see that there's a lot more to her and Mahoromatic than that.
And please don't refer to her as a "fuckpuppet."
Still shocked that many years after it's all over they do a two episode ova as filler between two season 2 episodes. Not a new thing after it ended or something.
Still a GAINAX Ending
She is a maid.
What is a point of a maid that doesn't server her master with all her body and soul?
She's much more than a maid for Suguru. She's his protector, companion, and lover. She was there for him when he needed someone close, someone to wake him up and start moving forward again.
Their relationship is much deeper than some purely sexual master-maid dynamic.
I believe it's one of our banners so yeah it was relatively popular back in the day
Stop making sense!
This is thread for lewding robot maids!
No, it isn't. Read the OP, it's just a Mahoromatic thread. It's fine to lewd Mahoro, but if that's all you see her for, I think that's just too sad.
She's so much more than just that.
I said to stop making sense and post more lewd robot maid!
Never!
It's a product of its time. Like how Lucky Star was a product of its time.
Lucky star is eternal you giant ball of gay
>Stellvia
Stellvia is nice and I like some romance where they actually at least kiss, but I think it failed somewhat at building tension. I never really felt that the weight of mankind was on their shoulders.
I've only seen the anime and I generally pretend the last episode never happened. I've heard user's claim that the original manga didn't end in quite such a pants on head retarded way. Would you say it's worth reading simply for the different ending?
The ending was kinda shit and didn't really fit with the show but I always thought it was still pretty cool. They should make a sequel with jaded/cynical blade runner Suguru and Mahoro bounty hunting replicants.
What last episode?
I'd recommend reading the manga, the ending is similar, but done much better.
Been years since I watched it, finally got around to reading it the other month. Manga also goes into Mahoro's origins which was cool.
I like how mahoro is the biggest pervert even though she chastises others
Yeah.
She is clearly projecting her own denial onto others.
Excellent show. Mahoro is best girl.
>denied upgrades
Why were her bosses so shit?
The ending is totally not similar
Don't do this. Never make a thread about this in this shithole ever again.
Anybody have any info on the PC game. I found some stuff on the Ps2 game but I think they are different. I somehow ended up with the game guide but could never find the game.
It was just some VN wasn't it? Gainax made a couple of them back in the day, like that EVA girlfriend one.
>Manga also goes into Mahoro's origins which was cool.
This does sound really interesting. I'll see if I can't get around to reading it.
This show really deserves a remake.
Ah man, I remember buying all the volumes back in 2010 or so. One of the first real ecchi series I read along with Omamori Himari, you can't really find this sort of artstyle anywhere these days, but I gotta wonder, what was up with early 2000's late 90's obsession with angel robot maids?
No. There's so many cancers getting into it already lately. Their mindset is fucked up, they should be memeing about azumanga instead.
It came out during that time when people still watched anything Gainax made and it had nice girls with fanservice. Of course it was big.
>what was up with early 2000's late 90's obsession with angel robot maids?
I don't know, but these things come and go. Just look at the recent isekai trend (illness). I would almost say that the double-ohs was one of the best decades when it comes to great anime being produced, I wish we could have it back.
Wasn't as big as you think. Also, these kind of threads only help the obnoxious newfags and attention whore tryhard tripfaggots.
predict 2020s girl trends
'10s was maids after dragonmaid became popular
Im betting on nekogirls
Peak anime artstyle. I also think if they did a show like this now it would be another tired moeshit maid show.
>perfect tomboy character barely gets thrown a bone
I get why it has to be this way but I hate it
It was literally 18 years ago, so I can understand people not knowing about it firsthand. And yes, it was big among early western otaku. Not as much as Love Hina but big enough.
It's difficult to say, but catgirls is something I'd definitely approve of.
This show was extremely charming and fun, but seriously fuck that ending and everyone who thought it was a good idea
Which version are you referring to?
