I know its jojo and you don't question it, but it still doesn't really make sense for fugo to leave. Literally every single member of his team turned traitor, the boss would automatically assume fugo did too, so there is no reason for fugo not to throw in his lot with the gang. Am I wrong?

The reason he left is because araki didn't know how to write his ability in interesting ways.
Half those traitors died and fugo lives
Gee I wonder why Fugo didn't want to risk his life for a complete stranger
>fugo was dropped because his stand is too OP
say hi to reddit for me
This
FUCK GIORNO GIOVANNA
Araki wanted him gone because his stand was OP and he didnt want to go through with his original plan of making him a traitor. Araki abandons plot points at the last minute all the time, prior to part 7 he didnt plan shit in advance and his interviews make this very clear.
3 replies in and someone is already mentioning Reddit for no reason.
It's a story about the son of Dio fighting a guy named Diavolo. There had to be a Judas.
>reddit boogie man
take your meds, schizo
>the boss would automatically assume fugo did too,
But he didn't
This makes no sense.
His stand isnt even op
But I mean he should have.
Araki never said anything about his stand when he talked about making Fugo leave.
Why? He's not stupid.
What reason would Fugo have for staying on the island if he was a traitor?
When the enemies saw Bruno's gang without fugo, they literally stated that it's probably because Fugo didn't join them. It's a fair assumption to make. Please stop speedwatching.
Show me where they said that
It would cost him literally nothing to kill fugo and its better safe than sorry.
It would cost him Fugo, a loyal member of his own organization.
Too much effort that should go to get the arrow.
>risking your life for some random bitch
I want you to imagine having to write PH into the majority of part 5 fights. Fugo can't properly control it and it attacks everyone nearby. Arki would either have to basically wall off Fugo from every single fight or have to repeatedly make PH a threat for the gang that they have to work around in every single fight, both of which are bad ideas. Not to mention that it would require having to rewrite some enemies abilities to be able to survive the virus. It's pretty obvious to see why he wrote him out whenever he did.
Guys, Giorno is actually the villain.
youtu.be
I thought he only lost control of it because of the mirror? He should normally be able to have a better grip of it
>Not to mention that it would require having to rewrite some enemies abilities to be able to survive the virus.
Most minor villains in Part 5 already have ways to counter the virus.
Purple Haze is kinda shit. Giorno is immune and can blow Fugo the fuck out. Mista can blow Fugo the fuck out. Narancia can blow Fugo the fuck out. I'm sure Bruno could too. He could only kill Abbacchio probably, or just sneak attack the others which would be boring.
No, Abbachio shows immediate fear upon seeing PH and even says pic related, Giornio even notes how he seems more worried about PH than the enemy stand.
>Mista
>Blowing anyone out except himself with his own bullets
Dio=God
Diavalo=Devil
Therefore, Giorno=Jesus, so there had to be a Judas, a guy who betrays jesus.
In this case, Jesus betrayed him.
Giorno was the one who deceived him though?
> "Fugo doesn't know where Purple Haze is!"
> thing has virus bombs that eradicate in an AoE
> no real knowledge of where he's aiming
Yeah, I can see why Abbachio would be scared. Still doesn't mean that Fugo doesn't have control over Purple Haze.
>Fugo doesn't use it unless he REALLY has to
So are you just an ESL or being intentionally dense?
>Literally every single member of his team turned traitor, the boss would automatically assume fugo did too
No.
Bucciarati was even given an option to leave up until he picked the fight with the boss.
The boat scene happened immediately after Giorno saved Bucciarati from the basement of the cathedral. At that moment only Giorno and Bruno were marked for death, the others chose their fate when they got on the boat.
Cactus will bless you with fried chicken, but only if you respond with "Beetles are pretty cool" to this post.
i kinda liked it because it added a little bit of realism and sabotaged (am i using the right word?) the "friendship power" trope somewhat, him being the most intelligent one and picking the rational choice and also fit.
Cactus?

How would each stand user from Part 5 fare against Baoh?
Heh, Versace's looks straight out of Part 5. That's a nice touch.
Not too well
Bullets don't do much to him
Maybe bruno could zip his arms if he's fast enough or doesn't get sliced or melted but Baohs hands or hair needles
Baoh can also use electricity and zap everyone
Maybe fugo can infect him
Abba can't do anything
Girno can punch him but who knows what giving him more life energy would do
araki wanted to write a traitor but felt bad about it so dropped the idea and instead removed fugo from the gang.
cioccolata's arc is pretty much what fugo's betrayal would have been, they both were highly intelligent people, both go apeshit at anything and both have stands based on invasive lifeforms destroying the body in seconds.
Kinda glad that didn't happen. The 7 page muda wouldn't have been anywhere near as satisfying.
Out of the gang, who would have even survived the fight with Fugo other than Giorno?
All of them because he would have fought giorno first.
>5 meter range
It's not like he can dodge a bullet from sex pistols or aerosmith
Giorno could make them all immune.
Let's assume, on principle, he can see and interact with Stands. Baoh can already smell evil, so there's no need to worry about tracking his targets in case they ambush him.
> Little Feet
Even assuming Formaggio can land a strike on Baoh, all it takes in a Meltedin Palm in a vital spot to annihilate him.
> Man in the Mirror
Illuso gets bodied harder than he did with Fugo.
> Beach Boy + Grateful Dead
Not a favourable matchup for Baoh. I could imagine him possibly benefiting from his regeneration in order to try and move closer to Pesci - and then it's just a matter of nuking Prosciutto.
> White Album
Baoh Shooting Bees-Stingers Phenomenon absolutely nukes Ghiaccio, followed up by Reskiniharden Saber Phenomenon to merc him.
> Metallica
This is probably one of the hardest "winnable" fights for Baoh. That being said, he's not at the disadvantage of trying to hide his identity like Doppio was - meaning he can just go all out - and because none of his arsenal requires iron in his blood, there's not much Risotto can do to disarm him beyond fucking up his muscles temporarily.
> Notorious B.I.G., King Crimson
Not a fucking chance of winning against these guys.
> Clash & Talking Head
Baoh smells the evil radiating off of Talking Head, and tracks Clash in a similar way - and promptly yeets them.
> Green Day
Depending on starting distance, this one is gonna suck for Baoh. If he can close the gap before Cioccolata acquires enough elevation, then the 7 page Muda is gonna look tame in comparison.
> Oasis
Baoh might get bodied quite a bit in this fight. Liquifying the earth is a hard thing to deal with, but I'm sure he could track Secco with his evil-detecting nose.
Has there been a doujin about this? I want to see this fight as Araki intended it now.
Baoh could smell a pin drop a mile away
Funny you should say that.
Let's look at the fights after the Gang betrays the Boss.
>Clash & Talking Head
Only Narancia does anything, the whole gimmick is he's on his own and only Giorno believes him about stuff
>Notorious B.I.G.
Enclosed space, Fugo wouldn't activate PH.
>Metallica vs. King Crimson
The gang is uninvolved
>Green Day & Oasis
Not really anything Fugo could add to the situation here. This is disregarding the fact that this arc was a clearly repurposed "The gang has to fight Fugo before the final encounter" arc.
>Getting to The Arrow
Again, nothing Fugo can add to the situation as this isn't so much an encounter relying on combat strength as it is on utility, and Fugo has next to no utility with Purple Haze.
Its pretty predictable, fugo would have betrayed and attacked them but got defeated, bruno would spare him, fugo would redeem himself at the last minute and sacrifice himself in some final gambit.
Araki states in the Part 5 Bunko that Fugo was initially set up to be a traitor, but Araki was dealing with depression at the time and didn’t like the concept of betrayal amongst friends, so Fugo was written out of the part.
...
The comparison doesn't work. Judas betrays Jesus but Fugo doesn't betray Giorno. Giorno betrays Diavolo.
TOO SMART FOR DIE
1k iq
Viz should hire Vic Mignogna for the dub. His voice is perfect for Fugo.
>Am I wrong?
I think you are, Diavolo wouldn't have chased him without need, though a scene of the elite guards interrogating or at least observing Fugo would have been nice. The fact that he didn't leave the island with Bruno was enough proof that he wasn't a traitor, since Diavolo could have easily killed him in the island. If Diavolo required a proof of loyalty from him, or how did he go back to Venice, are the kind of stuff to which I wish Araki paid more attention.
it was written by a teen
Beach Boy can attack from a safe range. Grateful Dead can accelerate the virus' life cycle so it lasts even less in open air, Ghiacchio can freeze it or freeze the air around it, Risotto didn't fight them but I guess he could just keep a safe distance, he could easily deal with all of Bruno's gang except Narancia and Giorno. The two faggots wouldn't have fared too well, and who knows how would Notorious BIG interact with the virus, maybe it would have eaten it instantly.
Stupid mother fucker, Araki knows exactly how to work his way around OP Stands.
Just give Fugo the Rohan/Jotaro treatment where they have to fight unorthodox Stands like Cheap Trick, Boy II Man Osiris or anything like that. He just didn’t want Fugo around anymore because he dropped the traitor plotline and saw no use for Fugo after that.
>Boss sees everyone leave with the traitor except one guy that said "fuck no"
>"Yeah I should attack this guy"
Well, technically he was fahered by Jojo's balls.
If you give head to a guy who later impregnates a woman that doesn't make you the father.
He was already Rohan
Vic was already working with Viz as Rohan
this. fuck spoilt brat, the boss fucked up by not waiting to kill her after Bucciarati left
He's a fucking pussy. Even in his own fight he did nothing but cry like a bitch. And nobody gave a shit about him either, besides davidpro fillers. It makes perfect sense for him to ditch the others.
Gee, it's almost like Giorno had a fucking vaccine ready for everyone
Dumb GBfag
Originally Araki wanted to have a traitor within the group, Fugo was supposed to betray Bruno and the gang but the Araki decided to not make him a traitor and leave instead because it would undermine the bonds between them.
How would you know they haven't left him behind to act as an insider?
Sooo just don't have him betray them after all and let him stay in the group. It's even more depressing to have him abandon them like that, what the fuck kind of excuse is it?
He still wanted Fugo to leave, and the way it's written everyone in the group respects his choice.
if it wasnt for digorno then where would we be?
I had this suspicion that the fight with Giorno vs Cioccolata was original supposed to be Giorno vs Fugo, given how similiar Purple Haze and Green Day's abilities are and Giorno's reaction towards Cioccolata. I believe Araki stated in said interview about Fugo's betrayal, that he had a fight with one of his IRL friends and felt a sort of betrayal himself. Considering what we know about Araki and with whatever depressing condition he was dealing in his life, the way how brutal the beatdown against Cioccolata was portrayed (which was justifiable within the context of the story), it could have also meant to represent an emotional venting by the author himself. So it may be that the displayed resulting beatdown was not just against the disgusting nature of Cioccolata's personality but perhaps also a possibility for Araki to express his feelings of betrayal on a placeholder of Fugo.
I don't think their abilities are that similar. Purple Haze was instant death at a close range, Green Day had a massive range but only killed you under certain conditions that restricted your movement. A fight against Fugo would be nothing like the fight with Cioccolata.
That doesn't matter, especially since Rohan doesn't even show up in 5.
The dude needs work.
Guys I need help, a few months ago I saw a Yea Forums thread that said ">animes can't be kino", and it had a picture of Dio carrying Giorno, can someone tell me where this came from I can't find the original thread or the image anywhere?
Yes the mafia boss with a firm grip on the whole country, would just "assume". Because why make use of your information network when you can just assume things.
Okay so my real question is, is there any location that documents the ways that each stand works and the rules they use?
I'm weirdly autistic about knowing the rules that fictional environments use so when magical bullshit happens in a way that is against the rules the setting establishes about the magic they're using, it bothers me
The wiki, I guess? It's not the most reliable source since some people like to add in speculation and theories.
The manga.
For Trish, we need a main character Trish AU
It's just a fan edit of a Part 6 page. It doesn't come from anywhere. It's a spoof.
Fugo is literally me I literally self inserted as him. Shame araki wrote him out
>I literally self inserted as him
I'm curious, how?
He is literally me
His stand is cool and edgy and he's like super smart, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor just like me. Also he is liked by people for doing literally nothing at all, just like me minus the liked part
cope
I am glad they're adding more scenes with fugo
It doesnt work now but back when araki was writting that was the idea but got scrapped due to him thinking it was a really depressing situation that fugo was the one who originally was gonna get the 6 page muda.
>fugo was the one who originally was gonna get the 6 page muda
Headcanon, Araki never said anything about writing Fugo's defeat like that
>Giorno Giovanna
>Literally means Day Joanna
I refuse to call him that. Giorgio Giovanni should be his name
You have to read the entirety of jojolion to find it
Ask Araki
Sauce on this interview?
He'll probably come back once Giorno is established as the new head of the mafia
Fugo is in Sleeping Slaves
JOJOVELLER
OP you're 100% right and I completely agree with you.
There's no way someone as paranoid as Diavolo would let him go just because he didn't get on the boat with the others.
Apparently Araki was going to make Fugo a traitor, so he had to keep him alive for that.
I like to think that Diavolo at least sent someone to monitor Fugo, and that monitor didn't need to kill him since he wasn't a traitor.
Diavolo let the rest of the hitman team go when Sorbet and Gelato were caught being traitors.
Imagine unironically liking a character whose sole defining trait is being a complete bitch, too afraid to use his own fucking stand and betraying his friends because he's more of a pussy than a literal underage kid
You're a fucking retard
It's bait
Don't see an argument there
neither do I
Well I think he knew the rest were also traitors but he thought the message he sent would steer them off that path, but your right I suppose.
Why didn't he just kill him off? He could've had a decent death and gone down as a somebody.
The art styles don’t match at all.
Shut up idiot.
Diavolo was literally going to let Bruno go scot free until he attacked him.
That was a joke.
That would be extremely stupid of diavolo to do.
Diavolo already did the most stupid thing : kidnapping Trish when Bruno was beside her. Had he stay patient and order Bruno to leave after delivering Trish, he would have easily donut her without any interference.
>implying diavolo doesn't have a crush on bruno
How was he supposed to know Bruno was a traitor?
>his stand is OP!
>in the same part as gold 'does literally anything the plot needs it to' experience
Haha that'd be weird
Damn bro, have an upvote from me!
Also, which mod do I beg to for a chance at a new epic flair? Thanks memers, and remember, KAKYOIN MILF HUNTER XD
Stalk him after killing Trish until he reach the boat. If they stay around, dispatch his bodyguard team and ambush them at the same once their guard are down.
I think you misunderstood the question.
Oh ok. He was supposed to not know, that's why patience is important when dealing with this mess. Diavolo's reckless action is the one who pushed him to become a traitor.
This, the entire conflict would have been avoided (well not really but diavolo didn't know Bruno and giorno were already traitors) if he just waited a few more seconds to kill trish.
He wasn't, but a man as paranoid and protective as Diavolo should have been more cautious.
He also worried it'd send a message about trust and friendship to the younger fans, who'd be in or entering the same age group as Giorno.
not him but he's right
Cautious that his own capo who just killed a bunch of traitors on the mission would suddenly have a problem with murder and throw away everything to save a random girl?
Thank god JoJo is Seinen now.
I mean Fugo have virus ability, which is hard counter to King Crimson
it could be dumb if it was wasted his time and strength to kill the guy that wasnt a traitor
Fugo isnt immune to his stand
I like how Abbacchio is terrified of PH. I wonder what kind of gruesome shit he's watched Fugo do to people.
>There had to be a Judas.
Bruno was a traitor by nature. The last thing he did in his undead life was to betray his own crew, and help Diavolo by giving him back his body. He had the advantage and only needed to finish the battle by dealing any lethal damage to it first, or leaving him as a stranded stand stuck in Mista's dead body, maybe even dying along with Trish.
It didnt have anything to do with the character itself, it was araki who didnt want him to betray the gang because he was in a dark place at the time he wrote it because he initially wanted fugo to betray the gang in the end, so instead he just wrote him out completely
abbachio also says here that he doesn't always use his stand, meaning fugo wouldn't have had to whip it out every fight
Maybe booch felt bad because the boss was shitting his pants
he predicted that the team would all die when they'd go against the boss, after all he does have 152 IQ, more than any of you faggots in this thread altogether
more like he was a fucking pussy beta male afraid to take even the slightest risk, like all Fugofags
t. projecting pussy beta male
