Unlimited homogenized all characters, pretty sure why the series had any appeal to horny bastards was due the fact Hobby Japan hired many notable artists who were experts in different types of erotica to design each or 2 characters, resulting in an assorted hot pot of fetishes that many could get into. Then came Unlimited as a mean to try and ressurect the OG cast as it was the only time Queen's Blade was truly popular but Hobby Japan for some reason decided only character designer should renew all designs, losing most of its original appeal.

Queen's Blade originally is a series of game books based on a 1980's property called Lost Worlds. Basically a more simplified tabletop RPG where two players duke it out with 1 character each and dictate what actions they do based on a book they use to represent each character.
Then it got a light novel, which led to an anime, which led to video games and a mountain of porn that came with it.
